Anna Baker

LANCASTER - Miss Anna Victoria Baker, 22, of 338 Deerfield Road died Tuesday, June 2, 1998.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Friday at Cauthen Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Brunson officiating.

Miss Baker was a retail sales clerk.

Surviving are her father, Roger E. Baker of Lancaster; her mother, Vicky Beckham Crenshaw of Lancaster; her stepfather, William Reynolds "Buddy" Crenshaw of Lancaster; her sister, Elizabeth Ann Crenshaw of Lancaster; and her half-brother, Kevin Baker of Lancaster.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Buddy and Vicky Crenshaw, 338 Deerfield Road, or at the home of Roger Baker, 1273 Wrenwood Drive.

Marion Brown

CHARLOTTE - Mr. Marion C. "Tight" Brown, 38, of 909 Spruce St. died Friday, May 29, 1998, at Carolinas Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home, with the Rev. Haywood Miller officiating. Burial will be at York Memorial Park.

A native of Charlotte, Mr. Brown was a cook for Fenwick Restaurant.

Surviving are his mother, Adelle Jackson of Charlotte; his father, William Jackson of Charlotte; four brothers, William Brown Jr., Wilbert Brown, Joseph Brown and Gerald Jackson, all of Charlotte; and three sisters, Sadie Erwin, Gwendolyn Brown and Rose Mary McCrae, all of Charlotte.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home chapel.

Lillian Crenshaw

LANCASTER - Mrs. Lillian Phillips Crenshaw, 76, of 1989 Kershaw Camden Highway died Wednesday, June 3, 1998, at her home.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at Hartley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Peter Wing officiating. Entombment will be at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Mrs. Crenshaw was a bookkeeper for the family construction business and a member of Oak Ridge ARP Church.

Surviving are her husband, Tony Crenshaw; two sons, Vernon Crenshaw and Kenneth Crenshaw, both of Lancaster; three brothers, Clyde Phillips of Heath Springs, Steve Phillips of Orlando, Fla., and David Phillips of Florence; three sisters, Clovis Steele, Ethel Morton and Marion Shearer, all of Lancaster; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Oak Ridge ARP Church, 2774 McIlwain Road, Lancaster, SC 29720; Home Care Hospice of Lancaster, 800 W. Meeting St., Lancaster, SC 29720; or a charity of your choice.

Mattie Dye

CHESTER - Mrs. Mattie Lue Dye, 76, of 112 Honor St. died Monday, June 1, 1998, at Providence Hospital in Columbia.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Friday at Brown's Chapel AME Zion Church in Lowrys, with the Rev. O.L. Smith officiating and the Revs. George Rhodes, Anthony Commodore, Benjamin Guy and Ronald McCluney assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Dye was retired from the housekeeping department at Chester County Hospital. She was the widow of John Wylie C. Dye. A member of Brown's Chapel AME Zion Church, she was the Mother of the Usher Board, a deaconess, a senior choir member, a member of the AP&B Society and the Eastern Star, Scottish Rites Chapter. She attended Chester County schools.

Surviving are three sons, John Willie Dye and Norvell Dye, both of Chester, and Napoleon Dye of Hillside, N.J.; four daughters, Louise D. Thompson of Baltimore, Dorothy Jean Shivers of New York, and Etta Ruth D. McCullough and Martha Ann D. Wood, both of Chester; her stepdaughter, Jeanette Ward of Baltimore; two grandchildren whom she reared, Gwen Dye Elam and Charles Edward Dye; 50 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home.

The body will be taken to the church at 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Denton Funeral Home is in charge.

Jewell Walters

LANCASTER - Mr. Jewell Wesley Walters, 56, of Portland, Ore., formerly of Lancaster, died Tuesday, June 2, 1998, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum, with the Rev. Kevin Cooley officiating.

A native of Lancaster, Mr. Walters was a construction worker.

Surviving are two brothers, J. B. Walters and Charles L. Walters, both of Lancaster; and his sister, Freida Blackwell of Lancaster.

Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 418, Lancaster, SC 29721 or Gideon International Lancaster, P.O. Box 1302, Lancaster, SC 29721.

Mahaffey Funeral Home is in charge.

Eliza Williamson

ROCK HILL - The funeral for Mrs. Eliza J. Adams Williamson, who died Sunday, May 31, 1998, at White Oak Manor, will be 3 p.m. today at Cross Road Baptist Church, with Pastor Mary Crosby officiating and Ministers Stanley Wells, Martha Page and Ellen Fewell assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Williamson was a native of York County and attended its public schools. She was a former member of Cross Road Baptist Church and later joined Mount Zion Church of God. She was a cook for many years at the Park Inn Grill.

Surviving are her husband, Robert O'Dell Williamson; three sons, Thomas L. Adams of Glennville, Ga., Robert C. Adams of the home and Marvin K. Adams of Rock Hill; three daughters, Deloris Adams and Bessie Williamson, both of the home, and Gloria A. Williamson of Rock Hill; her brother, David G. Adams of Rock Hill; three sisters, Nettie Crawford and Alice Biggers, both of Rock Hill, and Joyce Fair of Baltimore; 11 grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. today at the church.

Bailey infants

ROCK HILL - Tyrien and Tyre Bailey, infant sons of the Rev. Robert Z. and Tara Moore Bailey of 1765-C Cedar Post Lane, died Tuesday, June 2, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Second Wilson Baptist Church cemetery in Chester, with the Rev. W.M. Bryson officiating.

Surviving in addition to their parents are their maternal grandparents, David and Irena Moore of Chester; their paternal grandparents, Robert W. and Ileva Bailey of Chester; their maternal great-grandmothers, Sereatha Land of Chester and Lula Moore of Sharon; their maternal great-great-grandmother, Hatie Craig of Charlotte; and their paternal grandparents, James and Ellen Thomas of Miami.

The family will receive friends at home.
