CLOVER - Mr. Jerry Paul "J. Paul" White, 80, of 705 Sumter Street Extension died Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Mars Tabernacle FBH Church in Clover, with the Rev. Willie Starr officiating and the Revs. Blanche Jamerson and W.L. Brown assisting. Burial will be at Uniondale Cemetery in York.
A Chester County native, Mr. White was a retired employee of the town of Clover, where he was a truck driver for the sanitation department for more than 20 years. He joined the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in McConnells at an early age.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Magdalene Davis "Maggie" White; his son, George Willie White of Alexandria, Va.; five grandchildren whom he reared, Teresa White, Juanita White, June Wallace and Belinda Jamison, all of Clover, and Joyce Love of Gastonia, N.C.; his great-grandchild whom he reared, Anthony White of Clover; three other grandchildren; 13 other great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Mars Tabernacle FBH Church in Clover.
The body may be viewed from 5 to 8 tonight at Wright Funeral Home in York.
Jack Bozard Jr.
EASLEY - The Rev. Jack M. Bozard Jr., 52, of 205 Haverhill Circle died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Easley First United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Ed McDowell, Granville Hicks, James Hunter and Carl Evans officiating. A graveside service will be 5 p.m. Thursday at West End Cemetery in St. Matthews, with the Revs. Susan Ulmer, Lewis Bozard and Van Thomas officiating.
The Rev. Bozard was a former minister at Adnah United Methodist Church in Rock Hill. He also served at the Springfield-Neeses-Salley Charge, Turbeville-Shiloh Charge, Zoar UMC in Greer and Asbury UMC in Columbia. He was pastor at First United Methodist Church in Easley. He was a graduate of Spartanburg Methodist College, Wofford College, Candler School of Theology and Emory University and earned his doctorate of ministry degree from the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in 1996.
Surviving are his wife, Bidney Harrison Bozard; two sons, Michael Andrew Bozard and James Edward Bozard, both of Clemson; and his mother, Margaret Eargle Bozard of St. Matthews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Robinson Funeral Home in Easley.

Faye Davis
KERSHAW - Mrs. Faye Lynn Henderson Davis, 38, of 2069 Jones Road died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998, at home.
A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church cemetery, with the Rev. Clarence Allen officiating.
Mrs. Davis was a sales clerk for Mr. G's food stores and attended Mount Pisgah Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son, John Coleman Davis III of Hartsville; her daughter, Jennifer Lindsey Davis of Hartsville; her stepfather and mother, Marion and Mildred J. Huggins of Kershaw; four brothers, Doyle Moore and John Moore, both of Gastonia, N.C., David Henderson of Germany and Barry Henderson of Artesia, N.M.; and two sisters, Wilma Alexander of Eastover and Donna Lee of Kershaw.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
Edmund Lewandowski
ROCK HILL - Mr. Edmund C. Lewandowski, 84, of 537 Meadowbrook Lane died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998, at home.
A vigil will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Pentis officiating. A funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Saint Vincent de Paul in Milwaukee, Wis. Entombment will be at St. Adalbert Garden Mausoleum.
Mr. Lewandowski moved to Rock Hill in 1973, when he became head of the art department at Winthrop College. He was named distinguished professor in 1979. For the preceding 18 years, he was president of his alma mater, Layton School of Art in Milwaukee, where he also taught. He was named Man of the Year in Milwaukee in 1972.
For six years, he worked at Florida State University in Tallahassee, where he taught, headed the art department and founded an art gallery.
Mr. Lewandowski was known worldwide for his Precisionist painting and displayed his works in galleries from New York to Paris and Poland.
He was on a number of art guilds across the country and was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran and served in Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland. He received the Victory Medal and Bronze Star Medal.
Surviving is his wife, Dolores B. Lewandowski.

Thomas Love
CHESTER - Mr. Thomas L. Love, 66, of 1164 Craigbraw Circle died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998, at home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Westside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mark Chapman officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.
Mr. Love was retired from Springs Industries with 37 years of service. He was a native of Chester County and served in the Army. He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Lancaster.
He was a member of the Golden Age Club, past president of the Chester Shrine Club, a member of Chester Masonic Lodge 18 and the York Rite Bodies. He was a founder and member of Dutchman Creek Volunteer Fire Department, past president of the Wateree Homeowners Association and assisted in the organizing and building of Wateree Baptist Church.
Surviving are his daughter, Teresa Stewart of Chester; two brothers, Bobby J. Love of Chester and David E. Love of Richburg; and two sisters, Evelyn L. Briggs and Betty L. Odom both of Chester.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.

Martha Martin
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Martha Smith Martin, 77, of 1776 Kallaramo Road died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998, at Ebenezer Nursing Home.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Bass Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tim McClendon officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Martin was a native of Jacksonville, Fla. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, was a Pink Lady for 30 years and was a volunteer for the Red Cross for 30 years. She studied at the Juilliard School of Music in New York. She was a member of the original South Carolina Opera Workshop in Spartanburg and a member of the Charlotte Opera. She attended Bob Jones University and was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, James H. Martin; her daughter, Elizabeth M. Leadbitter of Columbia; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at home.

William Neely Sr.
ROCK HILL - Mr. William "Bill" Heyward Neely Sr., of 181 Neely's Creek Road died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998, at home.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Friendship United Methodist Church, with the Rev. David Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.
A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Neely was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. He was a member of the American Legion Frank Roach Post and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and served in the Navy Sea Bees during World War II. He was retired from U.S. Plywood-Georgia Pacific as a machinist. He was the widower of Lillian Harrison Neely.
Surviving are two sons, Hutch Neely of Rock Hill and William H. Neely Jr. of Columbia; his daughter, Pamela Arciniega of Covina, Calif.; his sister, Sandy Wallace of Miami, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Bass Funeral Home and at other times at home.
