Lee Coleman Jr.

YORK - Mr. Lee Craig Coleman Jr., 16, of 27 Railroad Ave. died Wednesday, June, 10, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Cauthen Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ken Jones officiating. Burial will be at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Coleman was a rising sophomore at York Comprehensive High School and was active with Rolling in Rock Hill. He was a native of South Williamston, Ky.

Surviving are his father, Lee Craig Coleman Sr. of McCarr, Ky.; his mother, Della Mae Coleman of York; his sister, Elizabeth Coleman Robinette of Stopover, Ky.; and his maternal grandfather, Fonso May of New Town, W.Va.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of South Carolina, P.O. Box 1609, Columbia, SC 29202.

Cauthen Funeral Home is in charge.

Alberta Ferrell

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Alberta Canty Ferrell, 68, of 1466 Mount Gallant Road died Wednesday, June 10, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Catawba Ward, with Bishop Scott Garbett, Chief Gilbert Blue and Milton Osborn officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Ferrell was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Catawba Ward. She was employed for 23 years at Everlock in Pineville. She was a Catawba potter.

Surviving are her husband, Jack F. Ferrell; her stepmother, Virginia Canty of Rock Hill; three daughters, Marsha R. Byrd of the home, Karen F. Nichols and Lorna F. Harris, both of Rock Hill; four brothers, Alonzo Canty Jr., Wallace Canty, Eric Canty, all of Rock Hill, and Edwin Canty of Catawba; eight sisters, Helen Beck, Frances Wade, Thelma Hendrix, Geneva Gunton, Betty Driggers and Judy Driggers, all of Rock Hill, Joyce Green of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Diane Petrini of St. Charles, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral and at other times at the home.

Memorials may be made to Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Catawba Ward, 2430 Indian Trail, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Geneva Gaddy

PAGELAND - Mrs. Geneva P. Gaddy, 81, of Pageland died Thursday, June 11, 1998, at Union Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Salem Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Shad Hicks and Bobby Helms officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Gaddy was a retired dietitian and native of Chesterfield County.

Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Sims and Terry Sims, both of Rock Hill; her daughter, Donna S. Hicks of Jefferson; four sisters, Margaret McMillan of Jefferson, Ella Johnson and Emma Nicholson, both of Pageland, and Elease Flowler of Marshville, N.C.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Sutton Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Salem Presbyterian Church, 104 N. Hickory St., Pageland, SC 29728.

Tabitha Koon

GREAT FALLS - Mrs. Tabitha Farmer Koon, 20, of 5838 Old Winnsboro Road died Wednesday, June 10, 1998, in Franklin, N.C.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Church, with the Rev. Todd Morris and Terry Norris officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Koon was a native of Rabun County, Ga.

Surviving are her husband, Jeff Koon; her daughter, Kayla Annette Koon of the home; her father and stepmother, William Keith and Debra Roof Farmer of Chester; her mother and stepfather, Debra Nation Vinson and Allen Vinson of Otto, N.C.; her paternal grandfather, Bill Farmer of Chester; her paternal grandmother, Nancy Penland of Chester; her half sister, Jacklyn Farmer of Chester; and her stepbrother, Brian Harris of Great Falls.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.

Clayton McDonald

ROCK HILL - Mr. Clayton Allison McDonald, 79, of 110 Sturgis St. died Tuesday, June 9, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Bishop Terry Bolinger officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.

Mr. McDonald worked for Springs Industries and as a carrier for The Charlotte Observer. He had been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since 1966.

Surviving are his wife, Ellie Taylor McDonald; his son, Errol McDonald of Belmont, N.C.; three daughters, Donna McDonald Hernandez, Sandra Bailey and June Dassing, all of Rock Hill; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Wolfe Funeral Home is in charge.

Mamie Wallace

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Mamie D. Wallace, 98, of Meadow Haven Rehabilitation and Specialty Care Center died Thursday, June 11, 1998 at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Home. A private burial will be at Laurelwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Wallace was a homemaker and member of Epworth United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Currence and Naomi Poole, both of Rock Hill; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Nancy Currence, 3132 Doncaster Drive, Rock Hill.

Memorials may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, 620 Briarcliff Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Louise Williams

CHESTER - Mrs. Louise Stokes Williams, 62, of White Oak Manor, formerly of 1556 Joe Caldwell Road, died Monday, June 8, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Black Rock Baptist Church, with the Rev. James M. Wilson Sr. officiating and the Rev. Paul Jackson assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Williams was the widow of Sidney Williams. She was a homemaker and a member of Black Rock Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir for 60 years, the Missionary Society and AP&B Society.

Surviving are three sons, Douglas "Butch" Williams of Chester, Robert Finley Williams of Mesa, Ariz., and Moncure Williams of Marrero, La.; her grandson whom she reared, Robert L. Williams of the home; her granddaughter whom she reared, Catherine L. Williams of the home; her brother, Tommy Stokes of Chester; her sister, Catherine Coleman of Chester; 40 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 35 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home. The body will be taken to the church at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
