Delois Adams

GASTONIA, N.C. - Ms. Delois Adams, 68, of 916 S. Marietta St., South Haven Care, died Friday, June 12, 1998, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Monday at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Clover, with the Rev. Charlie Mason officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Ms. Adams was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Floistine Burris of Gastonia; two sons, Keith Partlow of Clayton, N.C., and Alphonzo Partlow of Gastonia; three sisters, Nannie Adams of Dallas, N.C., Bernice Duff of Gastonia and Jonnie Mae Boyd of Clover; two brothers, Vorn Adams of Dallas, N.C., and James E. Adams of Virginia Beach, Va.; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the church.

Costner Funeral Home in Gastonia, N.C. is in charge of the arrangements.

Larry Bailes

FORT MILL - Mr. Larry Taylor Bailes, 75, of 103 Morgan Street died Saturday, June 13, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Flint Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dan Griffin officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A Fort Mill native, Mr. Bailes was retired from Springs Mill in Fort Mill. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was known for his musical ability, especially playing string instruments, and was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are his son, Daryl Bailes of Katy, Texas; two brothers, Leon Bailes of Fort Mill and Horace Bailes of Greensboro, N.C.; his sister, Ann Robinson of Belmont, N.C.; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Greene Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. today and at other times at the home of Katherine Bailes, 2304 Eden Terrace, Rock Hill.

Memorials may be made to Flint Hill Baptist Church General Fund, 296 Flint Hill Road, Fort Mill, SC 29715.

Lula Bell

HEATH SPRINGS - Mrs. Lula Walden Bell, 68, of 3840 Hoke Road died Friday, June 12, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Camp Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Revs. Kevin Cooley and James Chappell officiating.

A native of Lancaster, Mrs. Bell was a member of Camp Creek United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, James E. Bell; her son, Jesse Leroy Bell of Heath Springs; two daughters, Nancy A. Wood and Janie Darlene Foster, both of Heath Springs; her brother, Robert F. Walden Jr. of Great Falls; her sister, Barbara Louise Moore of Cramerton, N.C.; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home, Lancaster.

Memorials may be made to Camp Creek United Methodist Church, 4721 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Emma Cook

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Emma R. Cook, 76, died June 12, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Funeral services will be private.

Mrs. Cook was a native of Concord, N.C.

Surviving are her son, David Crump Sr. of Rock Hill; five brothers, Theodore Helms of Fort Mill, Vick C. Helms of Lancaster, Charlie Helms and Tim Helms, both of Chester, and Luke Helms of Rock Hill; her sister, Stella Caudle of Polkton, N.C.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Wolfe Funeral Home of Fort Mill is in charge.

Floyd Crisp

LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Mr. Floyd Oscar Crisp, 92, of Lakewood Care Center died Saturday, June 13, 1998, at Lincoln Medical Center.

A graveside service will be 4 p.m. Monday at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Gastonia, N.C., with the Rev. Sam Stephens officiating.

A native of Swain County, N.C., Mr. Crisp was a U.S. Army veteran and a former truck driver for the city of Gastonia.

Surviving are three sons, David Crisp of Gastonia, Kenneth Crisp of Great Falls, and Ed Crisp of Gainsville, Texas; two daughters, Doris Enloe of Gastonia and Bonita Willis of Moncks Corner; three brothers, Frank Crisp of Gastonia, George Crisp of Topsail Beach, N.C., and Ray Crisp of Stanley, N.C.; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Service Inc., Southside Chapel, Gastonia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Life Baptist Church, 527 N. Buckoak St., Stanley, NC 28164.

Loree Dawkins

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Loree Whiteside Dawkins, 88, of 2989 Mount Holly Road died Friday, June 12, 1998, at Meadow Haven Rehabilitation Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Parkway Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ronald Gaddy and Dr. William Bishop officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

A native of Buffalo, Mrs. Dawkins was a graduate of Chester High School and Lander College. She retired from Springs Industries. She was a charter member of Parkway Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 30 years. She was the widow of James Daniel Dawkins.

Surviving are her daughter, Joyce Shugart of Rock Hill; her sister, Maggie Peppers of Stone Mountain, Ga.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, and other times at the home of Frank and Joyce Shugart, 2989 Mount Holly Road.

Memorials may be made to Parkway Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1227, Chester, SC 29706.

Clara Dimery

LAKE VIEW - Mrs. Clara Ford Dimery, 84, died Friday, June 12, 1998, at the McLeod Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Lake View. Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery.

A Dillon County native, Mrs. Dimery was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake View and a member of the Dorcas Sunday school class. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her son, Dr. Lee Dimery of Duncan; five daughters, Margaret D. Hass of San Antonio, Texas, Jeanette D. Butler of Rock Hill, Betty D. Atkinson of Myrtle Beach, Sarah Greer of Surfside Beach and Sadie D. Pagett of Elberton, Ga.; 18 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cook Funeral Home, Lake View.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Lake View, P.O. Box 397, Lake View, SC 29563.
