Fred Parris Sr.

ROCK HILL - Mr. Fred R. Parris Sr., 80, of 1101 Chandler Drive died Sunday, June, 14, 1998, at his home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Shytle officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.

Mr. Parris was the widower of Irene William Parris.

Surviving are six sons, Leroy Parris of Chesnee, Fred R. Parris Jr., Carl L. Parris, Buddy Lee Parris, and Bobby Joe Parris, all of Rock Hill, and Jackie R. Parris of Stanton, Texas; four daughters, Wyvonia Parris of Chesnee, and Diane Corder, Nona Hines and Janice Bell, all of Rock Hill; two sisters, Ruth Burke and Lula Reynolds, both of Chesnee; 32 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Diane Corder, 565 Trexler Lane, Rock Hill.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Community Care, 325 S. Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29732.

Ronald Robinette

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Mr. Ronald Kevin Robinette, 44, of 7626 Royster Road died Friday, June 12, 1998, at his home.

A memorial service will be Saturday in Greensboro.

A native of Greensboro, Mr. Robinette was a maintenance associate with Farr Associates.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra Heaton Robinette; his son, Ronald Kris Robinette of Roto, Spain; his mother, Alta Robinette of Burlington, N.C.; his brother, Kimball Robinette of Sharon; and four grandchildren.

Forbis & Dick Funeral Home is in charge.

Guy Rodgers

ROCK HILL - Mr. Guy Huburn Rodgers, 85, died Sunday, June 14, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Hopper officiating and the Rev. Garnis Sullivan assisting. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.

A native of Waxhaw, N.C., Mr. Rodgers was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 34 and a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. He was a retired hosiery mill knitter and retired from Park-N-Shop, where he was produce manager for 20 years. He was the widower of Sarah Reid Rodgers and Diamond Yarborough Rodgers.

Surviving are his son, Charles E. Rodgers of Shreveport, La.; his brother, Robert Nunn of Rock Hill; his stepbrother, Robert Wolfe of Gaffney; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Greene Funeral Home.

Clyde Sullivan

CHESTER - Mr. Clyde Hershel Sullivan, 88, of 541 3rd St. died Monday, June 15, 1998, at his home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Second Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Bishop officiating. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Sullivan was the widower of Inez Proctor Sullivan. He was retired from Springs Industries and a member of Second Baptist Church.

Surviving are his daughter, Linda Lucas of Catawba; three sons, Mike Sullivan and Terry Sullivan, both of Chester, and Hershel Sullivan of Carlisle; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church, 619 Saluda Road, Chester, SC 29706.

Jason Workman

ROCK HILL - Jason Edward Workman, 12, of 725 N. Jones Ave. died Sunday, June 14, 1998.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Greene Funeral Home.

Jason was a seventh-grader at Sullivan Middle School and loved all types of sports.

Surviving are his parents, Danny F. and Cathy Price Workman; his brother, William C. Workman of the home; two sisters, Ashley Marie Workman and Melissa Danill Workman, both of the home; his paternal grandmother, Geraldine Cook of Rock Hill; his paternal great-grandmothers, Louise T. Stone of Valdosta, Ga., and Addie Mae Cook of Aiken; and his maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Frances Price of Fort Mill.

The family will be at the home of his grandmother, Geraldine Cook, 1005 Clarkson St., Rock Hill.

Mary Adams

SPARTANBURG - Mrs. Mary Lena Pursley Adams, 89, of 167 Gordon Drive, formerly of Clover, died Tuesday, June 16, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Bowling Green Presbyterian Church, with the Revs. Robert Able and Tony Adams officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Adams was retired from the Clover Public Library and was the oldest member of Bowling Green Presbyterian Church. She was the widow of James T. Adams Sr.

Surviving are her son, J. Thomas Adams of Spartanburg; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the church prior to and after the service and at other times at the home of Tom and Sharon Adams, 167 Gordon Drive, Spartanburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 775 Spartan Blvd., Suite 101, Spartanburg, SC 29301.

Ruby Beckham

CHESTER - Mrs. Ruby Reid Davis Beckham, 73, of 531 West Elliott St. died Monday, June 15, 1998, at Chester County Hospital.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Parkway Baptist Church, with the Revs. Ron Gaddy, Donald Davis, Bill Stroud, and Clay Waldrip officiating. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Beckham was a charter member of Parkway Baptist Church, where she was a former Woman's Missionary Union director, Sunday school teacher and choir member. She was a graduate of Richburg High School, where for two years she took first place statewide in public speaking. She was a member of the Springtimers Club.

Surviving are her husband, Gilbert M. Beckham; her son, Randall K. "Randy" Davis of Chester; her sister, Ada Mae Gibson of Blackstock; two brothers, Major D. Reid of Chester and T. Kell Reid of Walterboro; her grandchild; and her great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.
