Hazel Adams

ROCK HILL - Mr. Hazel Adams, 65, of 123 Duckett Court died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at Magnolia Manor.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Parker Funeral Home, with the Rev. J.E. Boulware officiating and the Rev Courtney Krueger assisting. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Adams was retired from Burns Chevrolet as a mechanic. He was educated in York County public schools and was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Surviving are four sisters, Bessie A Swearinger, Loretta O. Coleman, Charlene M. Talford and Marie W. Talford, all of Rock Hill; and his nephew, whom he reared, Leonard Adams of Cumberland, Md.

The body may be viewed from noon to 6 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until the service Thursday at Parker Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the home of Charlene Talford, 269 Greentree Drive.

Willie Barnes

CHESTER - Mr. Willie Barnes of 128 Lancaster St. died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, at the Brian Center in Gastonia, N.C.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Christopher King's Funeral Home, 703 Old York Road, with the Rev. Terrance Grooms of Mount Moriah Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Old Providence Cemetery.

Mr. Barnes was a member of Christian Home Baptist Church.

Survivors include his niece of Chester.

The family will receive friends at the home of his great-nephew Frank Nash, 128 Lancaster St.

Selena Barnett

CATAWBA - Mrs. Selena Barber Barnett of 4475 Cureton Ferry Road died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at Ebenezer Nursing Home.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Mount Hebron Baptist Church, with the Rev. L.L. Robertson officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Barnett was a member of Mount Hebron Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sisters, Francis B. McCorkle of Charlotte and Jannie B. Barnett of Catawba.

The body may be viewed from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Robinson Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Mount Hebron Baptist Church.

Pauline Biggers

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Pauline Biggers of 910 Midville Ave. died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Flint Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. W.B. White officiating and the Revs. Ronald Broome and Leroy Cole assisting. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Biggers was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church, where she was a former member of the choir. She attended York County public schools.

Surviving are her son, James Biggers of Rock Hill; three daughters, Shirley Biggers Chisholm of Charlotte and Beulah Biggers Peterson and Patty Biggers, both of Rock Hill; her stepson, Jimmy Biggers of Rock Hill; two brothers, Willie Lowery of Fremont, Calif., and James "Time" Lowery of Rock Hill; four sisters, Beulah Lowery of Rock Hill, Vernease Pyles of Elkhart, Ind., Elaine Tyson of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Dorothy Burris of Fairfield, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The body may be viewed from 4 to 6 tonight at Robinson Funeral Home.

The body will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Patsy Botelho

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Patsy Ruth Wright Botelho, 71, of 220 Hutchinson St. died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at her home.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Unity Cemetery in Fort Mill, with the Rev. Ray Mohrmann officiating.

Ms. Botelho was an office manager for Reid Gas Inc. and a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Jane Clawson Wright.

Surviving are her son, Darin Botelho of Prairie Village, Kan.; two daughters, Patti Sizemore of Rock Hill and Paula Dail of Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Ola Strait of Galivants Ferry and Kathryne Elliott of Rock Hill; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 508 Aiken Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Greene Funeral Home is in charge.

Manuel Brice

ROCK HILL - Mr. Manuel Brice, 68, of Oak Hollow Apartments died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Clemons Funeral Home, with the Rev. B.R. Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Brice was a native of Rock Hill and attended York County public schools. He was employed with the city of Rock Hill for more than 25 years.

Surviving are his son, Emanuel S. Brice Jr. of Rock Hill; five daughters, Mary G. Douglas, Shirley Dunham, Cynthia Brice Blake, and Denna M. Robinson, all of Rock Hill, and Debra A. White of Newark, N.J.; four brothers, Melvin Brice, Joseph Brice, Walter Brice Jr. and Charlie Brice, all of Rock Hill; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Clemons Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his daughter, Denna M. Robinson, 211 Sunset Drive.

John Cochran III

ROCK HILL - The funeral for Mr. John Richard "Johnny" Cochran III will be private.

A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Mr. Cochran was a ninth-grade student at Rock Hill High School and was an avid fan of football, swimming, professional wrestling and stock car auto racing. He also was an avid reader.

Surviving are his father, John Richard II of the home; his mother, Jacalin Evette Troup of Arizona; his stepmother, Pauline of the home; two sisters, Sara Mari and Tina Mari, both of the home; his paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Violet and Sabastian Bellandi of Jamestown, N.Y.; his maternal grandparents, Harold and Barbara Newland of Mountain Home, Ark.; and his maternal great-grandmother, Ruby Watkins of Franklin, Tenn.

Greene Funeral Home is in charge.
