Charles Adams Sr.

FORT LAWN - Mr. Charles Keith "Buddy" Adams Sr., 44, of 507 Sunnyside St. died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Fort Lawn Baptist Church, with the Revs. Ted Hodges and J.R. Gillum officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.

A native of Lancaster, Mr. Adams was employed with Kentucky Cumberland Coal Co. He attended Lewisville High School and was an Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Becky Ghent Adams; his son, Charles Keith Adams of the home; two daughters, Dana Renee Adams and Katie Adams, both of the home; his parents, Keith Hinson Adams and Glennie Marcine Furr Adams of Fort Lawn; his brother, Carson Boyd Adams of Fort Lawn; and three sisters, Kay Knight and Faye Rutland, both of Fort Lawn, and Jeannie Burch of Lancaster.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home in Great Falls.

Frances Bellune

LANCASTER - Mrs. Frances Adams McAllister Bellune, 82, formerly of Lancaster, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, at Springdale Village in Camden.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Lancaster Memorial Park, with the Rev. Needham Williamson officiating.

Mrs. Bellune was retired from nursing with 30 years of service. She was a graduate of Greenville Hospital School of Nursing. She was an avid fisherman, and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Dr. Russell E. Bellune and was the office manager for his optometrist practice.

Surviving are her son, Jim Bellune of Rock Hill; her brother, Clarence "Nunnie" McAllister of Warner Robbins, Ga.; and her sister, Louise Baskin of Elberton, Ga.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Cauthen Funeral Home, Lancaster Chapel.

Lillie Mae Bigham

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Lillie Mae McWatters Bigham, 102, of 261 S. Herlong Ave. died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, at Beverly Health Care.

The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Greene Funeral Home, with the Revs. Calvin Morrow and Jerry McNair officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Bigham was a homemaker and ran a boarding house for many years in Chester and Rock Hill. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the widow of James Ernest Bigham Sr.

Surviving are five sons, James Ernest Bigham Jr., W.A. "Bill" Bigham, Julius P. "Buddy" Bigham, Leroy H. Bigham, all of Rock Hill, and S.J. "Squeaky" Bigham of Lancaster; two daughters, Evelyn Bigham Bailey and Mary Bigham Cannon, both of Rock Hill; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her son, W.A. "Bill" Bigham, 1691 Fieldbrook Road, Rock Hill.

R.L. Blackmon

LANCASTER - Mr. Robert Lee "R.L." Blackmon, 82, of 510 W. Meeting St. died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at Lynnwood United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tony Adams officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

A native of Lancaster County, Mr. Blackmon was a retired carpenter and built homes in the Lancaster area for more than 30 years. He was a World War II veteran and served as a gun commander in the Battle of Normandy, the Battle of Northern France, the Battle of the Bulge and battles in Austria and southern Germany. He was a charter member of Lynnwood United Methodist Church, where he was Sunday school superintendent and a Sunday school teacher.

Surviving are his wife, Maxine Caskey Blackmon; his daughter, Linda Blackmon Bell of Lancaster; his brother, Richard W. Blackmon of Lancaster; his sister, Edith Mills of Lancaster; and his grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home.

G.W. Ellis

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. - Mr. G.W. "Dub" Ellis, 71, of 810 W. Mountain St. died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, at Wendover Hospice Center in Shelby, N.C.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Mike Murray and Milton Hagen officiating. A graveside service will be 3:30 p.m. Friday at Lavonia Baptist Church cemetery in Mooresboro, N.C.

Mr. Ellis was retired from Mauney Hosiery and was the owner of G.W. Hosiery in Kings Mountain. He served in the Marine Corps in World War II. He was a former member of the Lions Club in Kings Mountain and a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Charlene Lewis Ellis of Kings Mountain; her daughter, Denese Ellison Armstrong of Mooresville, N.C.; two brothers, Walter B. Ellis of Rock Hill and Larry L. Ellis of Mooresboro, N.C.; his sister, Nell Jones of Belmont, N.C.; his grandchild; two step-grandchildren; and his step-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Harris Funeral Home in Kings Mountain.

Ollie Faulkenberry

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Ollie Mae Burrage Faulkenberry, 78, of 229 N. Jones Ave. died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at West Main Church of the Nazarene, with the Revs. John Powell and Marion Pressley officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.

A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Faulkenberry was the widow of Roy E. Faulkenberry. She attended the West Main Church of the Nazarene for more than 53 years. She was retired from York General Hospital where she worked as a nurse's aide for 12 years. She also worked as a battery filler at Gold Tex Mill in Rock Hill.

Surviving are three sons, Robert E. Roach and Jerry W. Faulkenberry, both of Rock Hill, and William Roach of Gastonia, N.C.; her daughter, Nancy B. Roach of Rock Hill; her sister, Margaret Faye Rains of Rock Hill; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Memorials may be made to West Main Church of the Nazarene organ fund, 208 Lancaster Ave., Rock Hill SC 29730.

Pinckney Hawkins Sr.

FORT MILL - Mr. Pinckney Wyche Hawkins Sr., 96, of 275 Country Haven Lane died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Westerly Hills Baptist Church in Fort Mill, with the Revs. Roger Brown and Ted Sims officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill.

Mr. Hawkins was a retired body repairman for Good Motor Co. Body Shop with more than 15 years of service. He was a member of Westerly Hills Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He attended Newberry College and was the widower of Rosine Watts.

Surviving are his son, P.W. "Pete" Hawkins Jr. of the home; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
