Lee Cousar
CHESTER - Mr. Lee Cousar of Chester County Nursing Center, formerly of the Landsford Community, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 1998, at Chester County Nursing Center.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by King's Funeral Home.

J.C. Kennington
LANCASTER - Mr. J.C. "Jake" Kennington, 72, of 1845 Flat Creek Road died Monday, June 29, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Hyde Park Baptist Church, with the Revs. Donald Coppedge and John Potoka officiating. Burial will be 4 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Cemetery in Laurinburg, N.C.
Mr. Kennington was a retired disabled Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church. He was the widower of Clara McCormick Kennington.
Surviving are her daughter, Sandra K. Adams of Lancaster; two brothers, Paul H. Kennington of Lancaster and Wylie P. Kennington of Clinton; his sister, Ollie Rollings of Lancaster; two grandchildren; and his companion of many years, Dessie Reeves of Heath Springs.
The family will be at the home of his daughter, 640 Faith St., Lancaster.
Memorials may be made to Hyde Park Baptist Church organ fund, 1898 Flat Creek Road, Lancaster, SC 27920.

Mary Dover
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Mary Rushing Dover, 91, of Fort Mill, formerly of Bessemer City, N.C., died Wednesday, June 30, 1998, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Wesleyan Church in Bessemer City, with the Revs. Jerry Lumston and Todd Reynolds officiating. Burial will be at Westview Gardens.
Mrs. Dover was retired from J.P. Stevens Co. of Bessemer City. She was the widow of Lucious Reid Dover and a member of First Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are her son, Forrest Dover of Rock Hill; two daughters, Virginia Farris of Fort Mill and Rachael Capps of Pensacola, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home in Bessemer City.

Ronald Ellison
PARKSVILLE - Mr. Ronald Dorn "Red" Ellison, 54, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998, at his home.
Burial was at Parksville Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. Ellison was a pipefitter and member of Parksville Baptist Church. He was a member of Parksville Masonic Lodge and the Jamil Shrine Temple.
Surviving are his son, James "Jamie" Ellison of Chester; his mother, Lucille Parks Ellison of Parksville; his brother, Graham "Pepper" Ellison of Martinez, Ga.; his sister, Shirley E. Cartledge of Parksville; and two grandchildren.
Strom Funeral Home in McCormick is in charge.

Charles Jenkins
YORK - Mr. Charles Wesley Jenkins, 78, died Monday, June 29, 1998, in Ridgeland.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Wright Funeral Home, with the Rev. Z.B. Wells officiating. Burial will be at New Home AME Zion Church.
Mr. Jenkins was a retired tailor.
Surviving are his wife, Kay Jenkins of Alexandria, Va.; his daughter, Charlene Bates of Alexandria, Va.; his brother, the Rev. C.J. Jenkins of Rock Hill; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of the Rev. C.J. Jenkins, 1802 Allendale Circle, Rock Hill.

Virginia Jones
LANCASTER - Mrs. Virginia Zell Osborne Jones, 86, of 1404 Somerset Drive died Tuesday, June 30, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Crievewood Baptist Church in Nashville, Tenn. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Nashville.
A homemaker, Mrs. Jones was a charter member of Crievewood Baptist Church. She was the widow of Crosby Garrett Jones.
Surviving are her sister, Cleo Bodiford of Middleton, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews, including Linda Adams, with whom she lived.
The family will recieve friends from 7:30 to 9 tonight at Woodlawn Memorial Funeral Home in Nashville.
Cauthen Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Geneva Mayfield
CHESTER - Mrs. Geneva G. Booker Mayfield, 75, of 595 Old York Road died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at Chester County Hospital.
The family will be at the home of Chuck and Shirley Ware, 994 Yorkdale Road in Chester
Funeral arrangements will be announced by King's Funeral Home in Chester.

Geneva Mayfield
CHESTER - Mrs. Geneva G. Booker Mayfield, 75, of 595 Old York Road died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at Chester County Hospital.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Friendship Baptist Church in Chester, with the Rev. W. E. Page officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jessie Boulware. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
Mrs. Mayfield was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she was an usher and a member of the Pulpit Aid. She was also a missionary and a member of the Helping Hand Club. She attended the public schools of Chester County and was a retired nurse assistant at Chester County Hospital. She was a widow of Frederick Booker and Walker Mayfield.
Surviving are six sons, Albert Booker of Washington and Robert Gladden and Jessie Booker, both of Wood Bridge, Va., Freddie L. Booker of Los Angeles, Rudean Booker of Chester, and Bobby Booker of Alexandria, Va.; her daughter, Shirley B. Ware of Chester; her sister, Mamie Gladden of Chester; her brother, John Gladden of Washington; 32 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of Chuck and Shirley Ware, 994 Yorkdale Road, Chester.
The body may be viewed from 2 to 9 p.m. today at King's Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday.

Sara Owens
CLOVER - Mrs. Sara Frances Owens, 69, of Clover died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at her home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Huntersville, N.C., with the Rev. Elwood Seamster officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Charlotte.
Mrs. Owens was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Aurther Ray Owens Sr. of Clover; two sons, Tommy Bush and Sammy Bush, both of Clover; three daughters, Kay Vicknola and Donice Neely, both of Rock Hill, and Faye Pressley of Myrtle Beach; two stepsons, Aurther Ray Owens Jr. and Billy Wayne Owens; three stepdaughters, Amelia Quesenbury, Wanda Ramsey and Phyllis Watson; two brothers, Lonnie Lovern and Melvin Lovern, both of Fort Mill; her sister, Mildred Robinson of Rock Hill; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

Rosalind Sanders
KERSHAW - Mrs. Rosalind Russell Sanders, 60, of Carolina Court died Tuesday, June 30, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at Cauthen Funeral Home, with the Revs. Curtis Cameron and Steve Neal officiating. Burial will be at Kershaw City Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanders was employed at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and Lancaster Senior Citizens.
Surviving are her daughter, Deborah Horton of Kershaw; her brother, James M. "Sonny" Russell Jr.; two sisters, Jeanette Horton of Heath Springs and Marion Payne of Kershaw; and her grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Mrs. James M. "Sonny" Russell, 217 West Fourth St., Kershaw.

Nancy Shannon
CHARLOTTE - Mrs. Nancy Roseanna Shannon, 72, of 2840 Cowles Road died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at Presbyterian Hospital.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by King Funeral Home in Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE - Nancy Roseanna Shannon, of 2480 Cowles Road, formerly of Chester, died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at Presbyterian Hospital.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Brown's Chapel, AME Zion Church in Lowrys, with the Rev. Otha Smith officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Shannon was educated in the public schools of Chester County, attending Finley High School. She was a member of Brown's Chapel, AME Zion Church, where she served on the usher board and was deaconess to the communion committee. She was retired from Belk department store in Charlotte after 35 years of service. She was also a licensed cosmetologist.
Surviving are her husband, Sam Shannon; three daughters, Susie Shannon James and Ola Mae Shannon of Charlotte and Osia Shannon Caudle of Monroe, N.C.; two sons, Charlie Shannon of Baltimore and Edgar Shannon of the home; eight grandchildren, including two grandsons she reared, Sammie Shannon and George Shannon of Charlotte; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the church.
King's Funeral Home of Charlotte is in charge.
