Linda Wright

MYRTLE BEACH - Mrs. Linda Stowe Wright, 59, of 1500 Scorpio Lane, formerly of Rock Hill, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Shytle officiating. Burial will be at Laurelwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Wright was a native of Rock Hill and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her husband, Richard L. Wright Sr. of Myrtle Beach; two sons, Richard L. Wright Jr. of Rock Hill and William R. Wright of Fort Mill; her daughter, Terri W. Lee of Pawleys Island; her mother, Ruby B. Stowe of Rock Hill; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her mother, Ruby B. Stowe, 412 Liberty St., Rock Hill.

Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 6604, Columbia, SC 29260 or to York County Cancer Association, P.O. Box 4975 CRS, Rock Hill, SC 29731.

Frank Allen

ABBEVILLE - Mr. Frank Edward Allen, of 324 Old Douglas Mill Road died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Main Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Pickens officiating. Burial will be at Oakbrook Memorial Park in Greenwood.

Born in Rock Hill, Mr. Allen was with the S.C. Highway Patrol in Greenwood from 1952 to 1960. Promoted to sergeant, he transferred to Abbeville where he served until his retirement in 1978.

Also a Navy veteran, Mr. Allen was voted the Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer of 1968 by the Abbeville Pilot Club. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Lee Smith Allen; two sons, Michael Allen of the home and Ted Allen of Simpsonville; his daughter, Angela Stokes of Augusta, Ga.; his brother, Raymond Allen of Rock Hill; three sisters, Christine Dudley of Rock Hill, Mildred Allen of Chester and Evelyn Ruth McLin of Fort Mill; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. tonight at Harris Funeral Home.

Memorials may be sent to Main Street United Methodist Church, Choir Fund, North Main Street, Abbeville, SC 29620.

Willie Culp

FORT MILL - Mr. Willie W. Culp of 406 Steel St. died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at his home.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at United AME Zion Church with the Rev. T.R. McBeath officiating. Burial will in the church cemetery.

A native of Fort Mill, Mr. Culp joined Pleasant Valley AME Zion Church at an early age. He attended George Fish High School and was a retired employee of Springs Industries.

Surviving are his wife, Louise Potts Culp; two daughters, Dorothy W. Robinson of Rock Hill and Faye White of Monroe, N.C.; his sister, Hattie Potts of Detroit; his brother, W.L. Culp of Fort Mill; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Clemons Funeral Home is in charge.

Gabriel Huntley

LANCASTER - Gabriel "Lil' Tyson" Huntley, 17-month-old son of Betty Jean Huntley and Alex Adams of Lancaster, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Gold Hill AME Zion Church. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Surviving are his parents; his brother, Alex Huntley; three sisters, Raven Huntley, Ebony Frazier and Alexis Pate; paternal grandparents, Woodrow Adams and Alma Adams, both of Fort Mill; and maternal grandparents, James B. Huntley and Beverly Huntley, both of Monroe, N.C.

Visitation is from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at Harris Funeral Home, 601 Winchester Ave., Monroe, N.C.

Patricia Jordan

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Patricia B. Jordan of 1126 Castle St. died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charlie Mason officiating and the Rev. Hattie Foster assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Jordan was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church. She attended the public schools of York County.

Surviving are two sons, Willie James Jordan and Lewis Jarod Brown, both of Rock Hill; two daughters, Linda Elaine Jordan and Tonya R. Duncan, both of Rock Hill; her father, Clarence Richardson Sr. of Washington; two brothers, the Rev. Clarence Richardson Jr. of Washington and John Richardson of Maryland; her sister, Frances Richardson of Washington; her special friend, John Martin Harris of Rock Hill; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at home.

The body may be viewed from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Robinson Funeral Home.

The body will be taken to the church at noon Saturday.

Juanita McIlwain

DAYLESTOWN, Pa. - Mrs. Juanita McIlwain, formerly of Rock Hill, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at Neshaminy Manor Nursing Center.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Robinson Funeral Home.

Mozelle McKenzie

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Mozelle Langley McKenzie, 72, of 649 Morningside Drive died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Cauthen Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thomas A. Little officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.

Born in Scranton, Mrs. McKenzie was retired from J.P. Stevens after more than 30 years. She was a member of Calvary Tabernacle Church of God and the Ladies Ministries.

Surviving are her husband, James Cobert McKenzie; two sons, Jamie McKenzie of York and Don McKenzie of Pensacola, Fla.; her daughter, Trudy M. Grant of Browns Mills, N.J.; two sisters, Edna Lowder and Mabel Porter, both of Lake City; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home.
