Tom Paul

ROCK HILL - Mr. Tom Henry Paul, 76, of 211 Marshall St. died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Memorial Park, with the Rev. Lewis Vehaun officiating.

Mr. Paul was retired from GARAWCO Inc. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served as a medic in the European Theater.

He was widower of Jerdie Brindle Paul.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas E. Paul and Leon Paul, both of Rock Hill; his daughter, Geraldine Ashworth of Rock Hill; two stepsons, Charles Murphy of Rock Hill and Roy Murphy of Bennettsville; two step daughters, Alice Wilson and Shirley Haile, both of Rock Hill; his brother, Charles Edward Paul of Lincolnton, N.C.; two sisters, Mary Paul of Minnesota and Sadie Brindle of York; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Rocky Perry

CHARLOTTE - Mr. Rocky Dale Perry, 30, of 3344 Washburn St., died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at Carolinas Medical Center.

The service will be 7 p.m. Monday in the Greene Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Jerry Whitt officiating.

A native of Richmond, Va., Mr. Perry was a manager of Domino's Pizza restaurants in York and Mecklenburg, N.C., counties for the last 12 years.

Surviving are his parents, Jerry Perry of Rock Hill and Patsy Damron Perry of Connelly Springs, N.C.; two sisters, Tawana Perry of Rock Hill and Teresa Downey of York; and his maternal grandmother, Mae Damron of Hawthorne, Fla.

The family will receive friends following the service Monday.

Memorials may be made to the Rocky Dale Perry Memorial Fund, c/o Greene Funeral Home, P.O. Box 11549, Rock Hill, SC 29731.

Sarah Post

MIDLAND, Texas - Mrs. Sarah Crosby Post, 84, of 101 North Madison Ave., formerly of Chester, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, in Midland Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Thomas Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wayne Lemons officiating. The burial will follow at Midland Cemetery.

A native of Chester, Mrs. Post was a homemaker and a member of Lee Street Church of Christ. She attended the public schools of Chester County.

She was the widow of Joe Kenneth Post Sr.

Surviving are three sons, Joe Kenneth Post Jr., William Post and Jimmy Wayne Post, all of Midland, Texas.

Kings Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., is in charge of local arrangements.

Eugene Self

LANCASTER - Mr. Eugene Richard Self, 63, of 2570 Watson Drive died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at Eisenhower Hospital in Fort Gordon, Ga.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Lancaster Memorial Park, with the Rev. Ron Roddey officiating.

A native of Chester, Mr. Self was a retired chief petty officer with the Navy and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife, Erika Pheil Self; three sons, Brad Self of Fort Houstous, Va., Kevin Self of Chester, and Richard Ratcliffe of York; his daughter, Debra Kirksey of York; his brother, Robert Self Jr. of Columbia; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home.

John Wallace

LANCASTER - Mr. John Wallace Jr., 66, of 3907 Taxahaw Road died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at High Point Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Stuart Snow officiating. Burial will be at Antioch Baptist Church cemetery.

A native of Hartsville, Mr. Wallace was an automobile salesman. He was a member of the High Point Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred Barnhardt Wallace; his son, Tony Wallace of Lancaster; his stepdaughter, Shirley Guyton of York; his brother, Ben Wallace of Hartsville; his sister, Nomie Mae Parker of Hartsville; six step-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Cauthen Funeral Home is in charge.

Edith Broughton

KERSHAW - Mrs. Edith Ann Hinson Broughton, 83, of 104 Woodrow St. died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Cauthen Funeral Home, Kershaw Chapel, with the Rev. Bryant D. Fersner Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Kershaw City Cemetery.

A native of Kershaw, Mrs. Broughton was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Charlie Butler Broughton; two sons, Jerry D. Broughton of Camden and Charlie Bruce Broughton of Kershaw; her daughter, Margaret Alice Broughton of Kershaw; her brother, Mendel Hinson of Augusta, Ga.; two sisters, Fannie Mae Horton of Kershaw and Grace H. Buckley of Alexandria, Va.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the home of Alice Broughton, 215 W. Pine St., Kershaw.

Memorials may be made to Kershaw City Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, Box 1, Kershaw, SC 29067.

Frank Easter

YORK - Mr. Frank Easter, 76, of 40 Ross Cannon St. died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at the York Care Facility.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. J.C. Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Easter was a member of the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church and a member of the Friendly Aid Society.

Surviving are his brother, Wilson Easter of York; and three sisters, Ruth Ashley of York, Fleater Meeks of Rock Hill, and Mattie E. Garvin of Charlotte.

The body may be viewed from 5 to 7 tonight at Wright Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Sunday.

The family will receive friends at the home of his sister Ruth Ashley, at 5 Turner Ave. in York.
