Tyler Burke

ROCK HILL - Master Tyler Keegan Burke, the infant son of Crystal Burke and Troy Mills, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at Mercy Hospital South in Pineville, N.C.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Memorial Park, with Chaplain Susan Brooks officiating.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his paternal grandparents, John and Thomasena Lee of Rock Hill and Henry Mills of Rock Hill; his maternal grandparents, Richard and Janna Burke of Rock Hill; his paternal great-grandmother, Louise Wilson of Rock Hill; and his maternal great-grandmother, Ida Burke of Fairdale, Ky.

Greene Funeral Home is in charge.

James Davie

ROCK HILL - Mr. James C. Davie of 1346 Flint Hill St. died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Parker Funeral Home.

Mary Dixon

DALLAS, N.C. - Mrs. Mary Groves Dixon, 84, of 1404 Lower Dallas Road died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville, N.C.

A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Mausoleum B of Gaston Memorial Park, with the Rev. Paul Hutchins officiating.

A native of York County, Mrs. Dixon was a member of First Baptist Church in Lowell, N.C., and was retired from Rex Plant No. 2.

Surviving are her son, Floyd C. Dixon Jr. of Swansboro, N.C.; two daughters, Pat Pierce of Brevard, N.C., and Wilma Jenkins of Clover; her sister, Blanche White of Columbia; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. at the mausoleum at Gaston Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

David Estes Jr.

CHESTER - Mr. David Ernest "Sleepy" Estes Jr., 80, of 616 McDowell Drive died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at White Oak Manor in Lancaster.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Bishop officiating. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.

A native of Chester County, Mr. Estes was retired from Paul's Auto & Body Co. He also was retired from Triplett & Ryan Co., where he worked as a welder.

Surviving are his daughter, Dottie Michau of Chester; two sisters, Mattie Wishert of Great Falls and Elizabeth Sharpe of Columbia; two grandchildren; and his great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Wright's Home For Funerals.

Frank Hicklin Jr.

ROCK HILL - Mr. Frank Walker Hicklin Jr., 86, of 655 Rutledge Ave. died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at Magnolia Manor.

A graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Edgemoor Cemetery in Edgemoor, with the Rev. Dr. Robert J. Robinson officiating.

Born in Chester County, Mr. Hicklin was a member and deacon of First ARP Church and was a charter member of the Optimist Club of Rock Hill.

He attended Erskine College and was retired from Parts Associates as a sales representative.

Surviving are his wife, Nadine Wellons Hicklin; his son, Frank Walker Hicklin III of New York City; and two brothers, James McCrorey Hicklin and Jack S. Hicklin, both of Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Bass Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Roosevelt Howze

EDGEMOOR - Mr. Roosevelt Howze, 89, of 4435 Wylies Mill Road died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Arrangements will be announced by Christopher King's Funeral Home, 703 Old York Road.

Ruthie Ingram

RIDGEWAY - Miss Ruthie Imogene Ingram, 71, of Fairfield Manor died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at her home.

A graveside service will be 3 p.m. today at Forest Hills Cemetery, with the Rev. J.T. Stone officiating.

A native of Thomaston, Ga., Miss Ingram was a resident of Fairfield Manor for more than 27 years.

Surviving are her brother, James C. Ingram of Rock Hill; and her sister, Judy I. Nichols of Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Judy I. Nichols, 5660 Chadwick Court, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
