Ann Wallace

FORT MILL - Mrs. Ann Brandon Wallace, 60, of 441 Gold Hill Road died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Flint Hill Baptist Church, with the Revs. Daniel Griffin and Paul Harmon officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of Charlotte, Mrs. Wallace worked for Baldor Electric in Fort Mill and was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church. She was the widow of William A. Brandon.

Surviving are two sons, William Terry Brandon of Charlotte and Richard Allen Brandon of Fort Mill; her daughter, Sandra B. Brice of Fort Mill; her mother, Lula Rowell Jackson of Rock Hill; her stepfather, S.Y. Jackson of Rock Hill; two brothers, Thomas G. Harrelson of Whiteville, N.C., and Jack C. Lane of Rock Hill; her sister, Marie H. Walker of Fort Mill; seven grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Flint Hill Baptist Church and at other times in the home.

Memorials may be made to Flint Hill Baptist Church or to Hospice Community Care.

Bass Funeral Home is in charge.

Cameron Barber

ROCK HILL - Cameron "C.L." Barber, the infant son of Denise Barber and Justin Chisholm, of 285 Powerhouse St. died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at China Grove AME Zion Church, with the Rev. J.W. Worthy officiating.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his paternal grandparents, Jerome and Rosa Durham of Rock Hill; and his maternal grandparents, Delphine B. Byers and Ricky Byers of Rock Hill.

The parents will receive friends at the home.

Robinson Funeral Home is in charge.

Elihue Burns Jr.

ROCK HILL - Mr. Elihue "Snook" Burns Jr. of 1123 Crawford Road died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, with the Rev. C.S. Sanders officiating and the Rev. B.R. Wilson assisting. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Burns was retired from Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Co. with 43 years of service. He was educated in York County schools. He was a member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, where he was on the Deacon Board.

Surviving are his wife, Juanita H. Burns; four sons, James Burns of Rincon, Ga., Robert Burns of Richmond, Va., Paul K. Burns of Washington and Charles Burns of Rock Hill; five daughters, Louise Jones of Washington and Hazel B. Pickett, Willie Ruth Burris, Linda A. Burns and Sheila D. Burns, all of Rock Hill; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at home. The body may be viewed from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Parker Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Friday.

Ruby Ferguson

LANCASTER - Mrs. Ruby Stewart Ferguson, 89, of 311 Gillsbrook Road died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Needham Williamson and Steve Morgan officiating. Burial will be at Westside City Cemetery.

A native of Union County, N.C., Mrs. Ferguson was a graduate of East Carolina University and earned a degree in math and history. She worked for 42 years as a teacher and educator in the Lancaster County school district. She was a member of the Wednesday Book Club and the Retired Teachers Association on the national, state and local levels. She was a former member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Linda Spencer of Gilbert; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home.

Elizabeth Hinson

LANCASTER - Mrs. Elizabeth Simpson Hinson, 92, died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at Lancaster Convalescent Center.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rich Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Brooks Walker officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Hinson was a graduate of Winthrop University. She was a retired teacher for the Lancaster County school district and a member of Rich Hill Baptist Church. She was the widow of J.W. Hinson.

Surviving are her son, William Hinson of Lancaster; two sisters, Sarah Glenn and Nellie Norwood, both of Lancaster; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Rich Hill Baptist Church building fund, 1557 E. Doc Garris Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058 or to the Connie Maxwell Children's Home, P.O. Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29648.

Randy Mitchell

ROCK HILL - Mr. Randy Mitchell, 39, of 1118 Green Street Extension died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Pineville AME Zion Church, with the Rev. Dr. Eugene Goodwin officiating and the Revs. Archie Stover, Robert C. Brown and B.R. Wilson assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mr. Mitchell was a former forklift truck driver for Arcade Mills. He was a member of Pineville AME Zion Church and was educated in York County schools.

Surviving are his wife, Martha Mae Rhinehart Mitchell of Rock Hill; two sons, Eric Mitchell and Randy Mitchell Jr., both of Rock Hill; two sisters, Sharon Ann Johnson and Brenda Louise Caldwell, both of Rock Hill; two brothers, Dennis B. Mitchell and Oneal Caldwell, both of Rock Hill; his maternal grandmother, Katie Bell Ware of Rock Hill; and a special friend, Phyllis Whitlock of Rock Hill.

The body may be viewed from noon to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Parker Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at home.

The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Harriett Pressley

YORK - Mrs. Harriett Roberta Garner Pressley, 92, formerly of Clover, died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at White Oak Manor in York.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Clover Church of God, with the Revs. Verson Hodges Jr. and Larry Medlin officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Pressley was retired from Bowling Green Spinning. She was the widow of John Lee Pressley and a member of Clover Church of God.

Surviving are her son, James C. Pressley of Germany; two daughters, Mickey Montgomery of Sharon and Doris Adams of Clover; her brother, Fred C. Garner of Rock Hill; her sister, Catherine Warren of York; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Clover Church of God, 203 Hampshire Lane, Clover SC 29710.
