Fred Dutton

LANCASTER - Mr. Fred Allen Dutton, 83, of 1462 Lynwood Drive died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Hartley Funeral Home, with the Revs. Joe Peek and Grady Ghent officiating. Burial will be at New Hope Baptist Church cemetery.

Mr. Dutton was retired from Springs Industries and was the owner of Mr. D's Grocery. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was the widower of Wanda Adams Dutton.

Surviving are three sons, Allen Dutton of Great Falls and Wayne Dutton and B. Shea Dutton, both of Lancaster; five daughters, Maxine Murdock and Lydia Parlier, both of Rock Hill, Jo Winkler of Charlotte, Brenda Lyles of Easley and Phyllis Dutton of Monroe, N.C.; two sisters, Mable McCray of Beach Island and Norma Ray of Rockingham, N.C.; 21 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home. The family will also be at the home of Wayne Dutton at 2524 Cane Mill Road.

Marian Galloway

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Marian Elizabeth Reames Galloway, 90, of 1330 India Hook Road died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

A graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Forest Hills Cemetery with Dr. W. Timothy McClendon and the Rev. Linda B. Dunn officiating.

Mrs. Galloway attended the Fassifern School for Girls in Hendersonville, N.C., and was an active member of St. John's United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, James D. Galloway; her son, James D. Galloway Jr. of Rock Hill; her daughter, Mary Jane Galloway Quattlebaum of Greenville; her brother, John Edward Reames of Myrtle Beach; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church building fund, P.O. Box 149, Rock Hill, SC 29731.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Galloway, 662 Sedgewood Drive.

Cauthen Funeral Home is in charge.

Dock Hester

BLADENBORO, N.C. - Mr. Dock Hester, 85, of 2770 Guyton Road died Friday, Jan. 8, 1998, at Southeastern Medical Center in Lumberton, N.C.

A native of Bladenboro, Mr. Hester was a retired rural mail carrier.

Surviving are his wife, Gracie Pait Hester; two sons, Henry C. "Dick" Hester of North Myrtle Beach and Grady H. Hester of Milton, Fla.; his daughter, Lee Dove of Rock Hill; his brother, C.D. Hester of Spartanburg; his sister, Bessie Bryan of Bladenboro; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church building fund, 615 11th Ave. North, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29562.

Lewis-Bowen Funeral Home in Bladenboro was in charge.

Edmund Iovanna

ROCK HILL - Mr. Edmund H. Iovanna, 70, died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 6:30 p.m. today at Cauthen Funeral Home with Father William Pentis officiating. Burial will be Thursday at Beaufort National Cemetery.

A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Iovanna retired from the Rock Hill school district and the Beaufort school district. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Iovanna; two sons, Paul Iovanna of Rock Hill and Matthew Iovanna of Columbia; two daughters, Diane Marie Cotner and Claudia Iovanna Ray, both of Rock Hill; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home.

Vernon Keiber

LIMA, Ohio - Mr. Vernon E. Keiber, 72, of 22901 State Route 198 died Friday, Jan. 8, 1998, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Long & Folk Funeral Home in St. Marys, Ohio, with the Rev. Nathan B. Wierwille officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in St. Marys.

Mr. Keiber was retired with 38 years of service from Goodyear in St. Marys and sold and serviced water-softening equipment for Miracle Water in St. Marys for 22 years. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and was a Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater.

Surviving are his wife, Beatrice Keiber; two sons, Ron E. Keiber of Rock Hill and Ken Keiber of Lima; three daughters, Patricia Paul of New Bremen, Ohio, and Sharmon Hall and Susan Keyes, both of Berne, Ind.; his brother, Roy Keiber of St. Marys; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Rita's Hospice.

Randy Mitchell

ROCK HILL - Mr. Randy Mitchell, 39, of 1118 Green Street Extension died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Pineville AME Zion Church, with the Rev. Dr. Eugene Goodwin officiating and the Revs. Archie Stover, Robert C. Brown and B.R. Wilson assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mr. Mitchell was a former forklift truck driver for Arcade Mills. He was a member of Pineville AME Zion Church and was educated in York County schools.

Surviving are his wife, Martha Mae Rhinehart Mitchell of Rock Hill; two sons, Eric Mitchell and Randy Mitchell Jr., both of Rock Hill; his father, Sumter Mitchell III of Rock Hill; two sisters, Sharon Ann Johnson and Brenda Louise Caldwell, both of Rock Hill; two brothers, Dennis B. Mitchell and Oneal Caldwell, both of Rock Hill; his maternal grandmother, Katie Bell Ware of Rock Hill; and a special friend, Phyllis Whitlock of Rock Hill.

The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Parker Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at home.

The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Lucille Wheeler

ROCK HILL - Miss Lucille Wheeler, 84, of Beverly Health Care, 261 S. Herlong Ave., died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at the center.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Grandview Memorial Park, with the Rev. Ken Walters officiating.

Born in Weaverville, N.C., Miss Wheeler was a retiree of Springs Industries' Eureka plant in Chester. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her brother, McKinley Wheeler of Gloversville, N.Y., and her sister, Ruth B. Wheeler of Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends after the service.

Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 1229 S. Anderson Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
