Patricia Pendergrass
GREAT FALLS - Mrs. Patricia "Patty" Killian Pendergrass, 64, of 28 Argonne St. died Friday, July 3, 1998, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia.
The memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Baptist Church, with the Rev. Darrell Twitty officiating.
Born in Great Falls, Mrs. Pendergrass was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Great Falls High School.
Surviving are her husband, Joe Pendergrass; two sons, Victor Joe Pendergrass of Gastonia, N.C., and Dwight Douglas Pendergrass of McDonough, Ga.; two daughters, Cassandra P. Boatwright of Batesburg-Leesville and Delia P. Brown of Irmo; her stepfather, Elic Lee Martin of Great Falls; her sister, Vickie M. Granger of Camden; and seven grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, Capital Needs Fund, PO Box 297, Great Falls, SC 29055.
The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service and other times at 28 Argonne St., Great Falls.

Willie Mae Shaw
CAMBRIDGE, MASS. - Ms. Willie Mae "Prue" Shaw, formerly of Clover, died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at Mt. Olive Hospital in Cambridge, Mass.
The family will receive friends at the home of Ms. Ruby Simpson, 104 Armstrong St., Clover.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Generation Funeral Home in Clover.

Willie Shaw
BOSTON - The funeral for Ms. Willie Mae "Prue" Shaw, formerly of Clover, who died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at Mount Olive Hospital in Cambridge, Mass., will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Green Pond United Methodist Church in Clover.
The Revs. Stellie J. Jackson and Keith Hunter will officiate. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Surviving are her daughter, Betty Jo Shaw McClure of Boston; two grandchildren; and two great-grand children.
The family will receive friends at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the church and at other times at the home of Ruby Simpson, 104 Armstrong St., Clover.
Generation Funeral Home is in charge.

Gladys Knight
UNION - Mrs. Gladys Jean Truesdale Knight, 67, of 106 Amber Drive died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at her home.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at the Cauthen Funeral Home, Kershaw Chapel, with Kenneth R. Truesdale and the Rev. Grady Onell officiating. Burial will be at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Westville.
Born in Great Falls, she was retired from The Kendall Company.
Surviving are her husband, John Davidson Knight; three daughters, Carol K. Bugge of Chapin, Debra Knight of Cayce and Jerri Counts of North Augusta; four brothers, Barney O. Truesdale of Camden, Kenneth R. Truesdale of Liberty Hill, Thomas M. Truesdale of Pensacola, Fla., and Lonnie E. Truesdale of Kershaw; two sisters, Gloria June Schultz and Barbara Ann Meyer, both of Minneapolis; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of Lonnie Truesdale, 3875 Old Georgetown Road, Kershaw.

R. Lynn Smith
ROCK HILL - Mr. Robert Lynn Smith, 54, of 4021 Crestview Drive, died Thursday, July 2, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bruce Wyatt and the Rev. Jerry McNair officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.
Mr. Smith was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was employed at Paramount's Carowinds and served in the U.S. Navy.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Willis Smith; his son, Robbie Smith of Rock Hill; his daughter, Julie Smith Killough of Rock Hill; his mother, Bonnie Smith Wolfe of Rock Hill, two sisters, Delphine S. Comer of McConnells and Andrea S. Ross of Rock Hill; his stepsister, Jean Cabney of Rock Hill; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill Chapel and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 11650, Rock Hill, SC 29731-1650.

Winford Stacks
LANCASTER - Mr. Winford Stacks, 66, of 1038 Memorial Park Road died Thursday, July 2, 1998, at his home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Cauthen Funeral Home, Lancaster Chapel, with the Rev. Curtis Cameron officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Memorial Park.
Born in Lancaster, Mr. Stacks was employed at Springs Industries and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Annie Mae Stacks Stacks; two sons, Jimmy Ray Stacks and Roger Joel Stacks, both of Lancaster; two daughters, Nancy Rutledge and Sherry Ann Robertson, both of Lancaster; his parents, Carl and Sally S. Stacks of Lancaster; his brother, John Stacks of Lancaster; four sisters, Karry Langley of Indian Land, Janie Stacks of Rock Hill, Judy Croft of Camden and Hallie Collins of Lancaster; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Wendell Timmons
FORT LAWN - Mr. Wendell "Robin" Timmons, 40, of 1260 East Creek Road died Thursday, July 2, 1998.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Providence Baptist Church in Kershaw, with the Rev. Hilton Batts officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Timmons was a member of Four Square Gospel Church. He was a fork lift driver with West Marine Distribution Center in Rock Hill.
Surviving are his parents, Sidney Kenneth and Roselle Roberts Timmons of Fort Lawn; two daughters, Robyn Lynn Timmons and Crystal Dawn Timmons, both of Rock Hill; three brothers, Randy Timmons of York, Keith Timmons of Richmond Hill, Ga., and Gerald Timmons of Fort Lawn; three sisters, Juanita Catoe and Barbara Fincher, both of Fort Lawn, and Pam Cooke of Lumberton, N.C.; and his granddaughter.
The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Juanita Catoe, 1241 East Creek Road, Fort Lawn, SC 29714.

James Bedore II
LAFAYETTE, La. - Mr. James Joseph Bedore II, 30, died Monday, June 22, 1998, in Lake Charles, La.
The funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. today at the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers, with the Rev. Matthew Higginbotham officiating. Burial will be at Layfayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Bedore was a native of Oklahoma City and had lived in Lafayette for 22 years. He was a 1985 graduate of Comeux High School.
He was an Air Force veteran and attended the University of South Louisiana. Enrolled at Winthrop University, he was a Tam's Tavern employee.
Surviving are his parents, James and Gail Bedore of Lafayette; his brother, Timothy Mark Bedore of Abbeville; and his maternal grandmother, Marguerite Primeaux.

Richard Clifton
ROCK HILL - Mr. Richard Wayne Clifton, 65, of 2069 Downey St. died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. today at the First Christian Church, with the Rev. Mike Ditton officiating.
Mr. Clifton was a founder and member of the First Christian Church. He was employed at Caterpillar. A native of Deland, Ill., he served in the Army in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion in Deland and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Monticello, Ill. He was a member of the Waffle House and Huddle House breakfast clubs.
Surviving are his son, Richard Alan Clifton of Orange, Va.; his daughter, Paula Gwyn Gissing of St. Peters, Mo.; two stepsons, Dallas K. Smith of Rock Hill and Alan Smith of Fayetteville, Tenn.; his stepdaughter, Connie Smith of Cary, N.C.; two brothers, Wendell Clifton of Deland, and Darman Clifton of Monticello; his sister, Linda Hammond of Monticello; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and three great-step-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, P.O. Box 4737, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

Louise Garner
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Louise Stephenson Garner, 80, of North Confederate Avenue died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Hogg officiating. Entombment will be at Grandview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Garner was a member of First Baptist Church, where she assisted with the children's choir. She was employed by Winn-Dixie for many years.
Surviving are her husband, J.E. Garner; her son, Tommy Garner of Rock Hill; two sisters, Ola Sherer of Rock Hill and Linda Nelson of York; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Bass Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church building fund, 215 E. Main St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Albert Hamright
ROCK HILL - Mr. Albert Hamright of 741 S. Spruce St. died Monday, June 22, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at By Faith Pentecostal Church, with Bishop Roosevelt Ashford, the Rev. Alfred Upchurch, and Pastors James Smith and Rodney Hamright officiating. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Hamright was a construction worker and a truck driver. He joined Providence Baptist Church at an early age and attended the public schools of Lincolnton, N.C.
Surviving are his wife, Janice C. Moore Hamright; four sons, Rodney Hamright, Amoes Hamright, William Hamright, and William Robinson, all of Rock Hill; four daughters, Gail Hamright, Sandra Hamright, Diedra Brown and Marie Smith, all of Rock Hill; his stepmother, Bertha Hamright of Rock Hill; three brothers, Jonathan Hamright, Roderick Hamright and Jake Hamright; five sisters, Estina Poole, Deborah Robinson, Tony Bryant, Lydia Gause and Kim Cline; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Robinson Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
The body will be taken to the church at noon Friday.
