James Harris Jr.

LANCASTER - Mr. James Robert "Bob" Harris Jr., 72, of 1748 Havenwood Drive died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Mahaffey Funeral Home, with the Rev. Needham Williamson officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

A native of Mecklenburg County, N.C., he was the retired owner and operator of a retail boat and motor sales store. He was a World War II Army veteran, a licensed private airplane pilot, a graduate of McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tenn., and attended the University of North Carolina and North Carolina State University. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Doris Mahaffey Harris; his son, William Robert Harris III of Hampton, Va.; three daughters, Reneé Harris Baker of Lancaster, Debbie Harris Zvejnieks of Philadelphia and Anne Harris Bowron of New York City; his brother, William Miller Harris of Weddington, N.C.; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Mahaffey Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 608, Lancaster, SC 29721 or Home Care Hospice of Lancaster, 800 W. Meeting St., Lancaster, SC 29720.

Marjory Indgjer

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Marjory May Dorwin Indgjer, 76, of 2606 Galleria Pointe Circle died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Shytle officiating. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Indgjer was a native of Dorand, Wis. She worked in the banking industry for 35 years. Prior to retirement, she was with Mountain States Bank in Denver for 14 years. She was of the Protestant faith.

Surviving are her husband, Everett L. Indgjer; two sons, Dan Indgjer of Olathe, Kan., and Lawrence D. Indgjer of Fort Mill; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends after the service at Greene Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, SC Affiliate, P.O. Box 6604, Columbia, SC 29260.

Daniel Lovell

EDGEMOOR - Mr. Daniel Jay Lovell, 17, of 1560 Crows Nest Drive died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Grandview Memorial Park, with the Rev. Bill Shytle officiating.

Mr. Lovell enjoyed cutting hair and listening to music.

Surviving are his parents, Mark Jefferson and Pamela Lynn McCleery Lovell of the home; two brothers, Richard Charles Lovell of Rock Hill and Jerry William Lovell of Edgemoor; and his paternal grandmother, Amy Lovell of McGregor, Iowa.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Greene Funeral Home.

Horace Parker

ROCK HILL - Mr. Horace Draper Parker, 92, of 127 Murrah Drive died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at Magnolia Manor.

A graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Memorial Park.

A native of Gaffney, Mr. Parker was a self-employed carpenter. He was an Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Lottie Phillips Parker; two sons, Phillip R. Parker of Rock Hill and Charles K. Parker of Memphis, Tenn.; his daughter, Linda Jackson of Rock Hill; three brothers, A.B. Parker of Rock Hill, J.C. Parker of Williston, and L.D. Parker of North Augusta; two sisters, Virginia Kepley of Salisbury, N.C., and Jeanette Parker of Columbia; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home of Linda Jackson, 3329 India Hook Road, Rock Hill.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Community Care, 325 S. Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Bass Funeral Home is in charge.

Romey Pelletier

YORK - Mr. Romey Richard Pelletier, 55, of 3216 Agean Lane died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Clover.

James Thompson

ROCK HILL - Mr. James Thompson of 1047 Archie Drive died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Robinson Funeral Home.

The family will be at 467 Castlewood Circle, Rock Hill.

Roxie Barnwell

FORT MILL - Mrs. Roxie Bailes Barnwell, 50, of 1129 Kanawha Court died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Fort Mill Church of God, with the Rev. David Kemp officiating.

Mrs. Barnwell graduated from Fort Mill High School in 1966 and later from Limestone College. She was a member of the Fort Mill Church of God and worked for BellSouth as a property manager in Charlotte.

Surviving are her husband, Bobby Barnwell; four daughters, Nikki Moore of Charlotte and Dawn Moore, Cari Evans and Missi Barnwell, all of Rock Hill; her parents, Leon and Pearl Bailes of Fort Mill; and her grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Wolfe Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 2535, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

Beatrice Carter

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Beatrice Fields Carter, 79, of 1589 Old Friendship Road died Friday, Dec. 4, 1998, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

The chapel service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Green Funeral Home, with the Revs. David W. Carter and George Brasington officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Carter was a homemaker and member of the Lesslie Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving are five sons, Jimmy L. Carter of Mullins, the Rev. David W. Carter of Pickens and Roger O. Carter, Calvin E. Carter and Donald R. Carter, all of Rock Hill; her daughter, Gladys C. Carnes of Lancaster; her brother, Howard Fields of Rock Hill; 25 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her son, Calvin Carter, 1610 Old Friendship Road in Rock Hill.

Memorials may be made to Lesslie Free Will Baptist Church, 2656 Catawba Church Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
