Jessie Brown

YORK - Mrs. Jessie Lee Brackett Brown, 86, of 695 Mason Dickson Road, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Enon Baptist Church, with the Revs. Chris Ballard and Roger Ham officiating. Burial will be at Kings Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Brown was a member of Enon Baptist Church and widow of Velt Brown.

Surviving are two sons, Oren Brown and Donald Brown, both of York; two daughters, Edith Oneida B. Dover of Smyrna and Doris Wray of York; 30 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Clover.

Charles Duncan Sr.

ROCK HILL - Mr. Charles Eugene Duncan Sr., 59, of 6 Barrow St. died Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Greene Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Wooten officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.

A native of Lando, Mr. Duncan was a mechanic for Aragon Mills and Boggs Inc. of Charlotte, where he retired with more than 30 years service.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Pearson Duncan; two sons, Charles E. Duncan Jr. of Chester and Ronnie E. Duncan of Randleman, N.C.; two daughters, Patricia D. Plott of Rock Hill and Sandra Brown of Lexington, N.C.; his half sister, Mildred Steinmeyer of Rock Hill; and 11 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home.

La-Patrice Feaster

CHESTER - La-Patrice D. Feaster, infant daughter of Greg A. Feaster and Patricia Howze Feaster of 869 Cornwell Road died Sunday, Dec. 13, 1998 at Chester County Hospital.

The graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Armenia Baptist Church, with the Rev. J.E. Darby officiating and the Rev. Oliver Royal assisting.

Surviving are her brother, Lamont Howze of the home; her sister, Deasha Feaster of the home; maternal grandmother, Ellaree Howze of Chester; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Mary Lee Feaster of Chester; maternal great-grandmother, Annie McMiller of Chester, paternal great-grandmother, Ida Shannon of Charlotte.

King's Funeral Home is in charge.

Rubin Jamison

YORK - Mr. Rubin Jamison, 75, of Meadow Haven Rehabilitation and Specialty Care Center, formerly of York, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke No. 2 Baptist Church in Sharon, with the Rev. Bruce Smith officiating and the Rev. George Lowry delivering the eulogy. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mr. Jamison was a veteran of World War II. He retired from Douglas Battery in Winston-Salem, N.C. He was a member of St. Luke No. 2 Baptist Church and the AP&B Society.

Surviving are his daughter, Queen J. McClain of York; his son, William White of York; his sister, Liller Mae McCoy of Rock Hill; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at St. Luke No. 2 Baptist Church.

Wright Funeral Home in York is in charge.

Joe Lewis Jr.

SHARON - Mr. Joe "Quinn" Lewis Jr., 63, of 2932 Shannon St. died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Sharon United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lee Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church cemetery.

Mr. Lewis was a retired finisher with Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Co. and was retired from the Airport Mechanic Shop in York. He was a member of the South Carolina National Guard and Sharon United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce Teague Lewis of Sharon; his son, Billy Joe Lewis of Sharon; his daughter, Wanda Lewis Craig of Smyrna; six brothers, James Lewis, Harry Lewis and Mike Quinn, all of Lowrys, Gene Lewis of Gastonia, N.C., Grover Quinn of Sharon and Carl Quinn of Rock Hill; two sisters, Ella Mae Murray of Sharon and Doris Jones of Jonesville; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at York Funeral Home.

Elajulwon Williams

FORT LAWN - Elajulwon Devonta Williams, 3, the son of Montanez Talford and Marquesh Williams, of 5651 Diamond Lane, died Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Union Ezell AME Zion Church, with the Rev. Cletus Jones officiating and the Rev. W.J. Baxter assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are paternal grandmother, Delores Crawford of Richburg; maternal grandparents, Lovett and Helen Williams of Fort Lawn; paternal great-grandparents, George and Jessie Degraffenreid of Richburg; maternal great-grandmother, Odell Woodard of Fort Lawn; paternal great-great-grandmother, Nannie Walls of Great Falls.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 7:30 p.m. tonight at Union Ezell AME Zion Church.

The body may be viewed at 2 p.m. today at King's Funeral Home.

The body will be taken to the church at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Folsom Clinton

ROCK HILL - Mr. Buford Folsom Clinton, 65, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Eastside Baptist Church, with the Revs. Jimmy Holley and Jerry Devinney officiating. Burial will be at Laurelwood Cemetery.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Clinton was the retired operations manager for B&B Distributors, where he had worked for 25 years. He previously had worked with Rock Hill Coca-Cola and was an Army veteran with three years of service. He also served four years in the Air Force. He was a member and deacon of Eastside Baptist Church and a member of American Legion Frank Roach Post No. 34. Following his retirement, he was a courier with Sherer Dental Lab in Rock Hill.

Surviving are his wife, Connie Deese Clinton; his son, Tim Clinton of Rock Hill; his daughter, Pam Watts of Rock Hill; his brother, Tommy Clinton of Surfside Beach; three sisters, Mabel Wylie and Gayle Whisonant, both of Rock Hill, and Ruth Hinson of Columbia; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Greene Funeral Home from 7 to 9 tonight and at other times at the home.
