Boyd C. Craft

CAYCE - Mr. Boyd C. Craft, 52, of Cayce died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at West Side Baptist Church. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mr. Craft was a native of Columbia.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Craft of Charleston; his son, Clayton Craft of Columbia; his daughter, Theresa Craft of Atlanta; two brothers, Lawrence W. Craft of West Columbia and C. Howard Craft of Rock Hill; and his sister, Vickie C. Johnson of Cayce.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia.

Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation.

Charles Duncan Sr.

ROCK HILL - Mr. Charles Eugene "Red" Duncan Sr., 59, of 6 Barrow St. died Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Wooten officiating and the Rev. John Wilkes assisting. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.

A native of Lando, Mr. Duncan was a mechanic for Aragon Mills and Boggs Inc. of Charlotte, where he retired with more than 30 years service.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Pearson Duncan; two sons, Charles E. Duncan Jr. of Chester and Ronnie E. Duncan of Randleman, N.C.; two daughters, Patricia D. Plott of Rock Hill and Sandra Brown of Lexington, N.C.; his mother, Nina Small Duncan of Rock Hill; his half-sister, Mildred Steinmeyer of Rock Hill; and 11 grandchildren.

Greene Funeral Home is in charge.

Grace Ingram

GREENVILLE - Mrs. Grace Vermelle Funk Ingram, 74, of 800 Parkins Mill Road died Monday, Dec. 14, 1998.

Burial was at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Ingram was a homemaker and a member of Fair Heights Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Odell H. Ingram; four sons, Richard E. Ingram of Greenville, Michael K. Ingram of Huntersville, N.C., Carl Ingram of Charlotte and James T. Ingram of Monroe, N.C.; two daughters, Carol L. Maulden of Greenville and Myra K. Sides of Charlotte; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Shepherd's Gate, P.O. Box 2546, Greenville, SC 29602.

Mackey Mortuary was in charge.

Joe Lewis Jr.

SHARON - Mr. Joe "Quinn" Lewis Jr., 63, of 2932 Shannon St. died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Sharon United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lee Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church cemetery.

Mr. Lewis was a retired finisher with Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Co. and was retired from the Airport Mechanic Shop in York. He was a member of the S.C. National Guard and Sharon United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce Teague Lewis of Sharon; his son, Billy Joe Lewis of Sharon; his daughter, Wanda Lewis Craig of Smyrna; his mother, Bessie Mae Quinn of Rock Hill; six brothers, James Lewis, Harry Lewis and Mike Quinn, all of Lowrys, Gene Lewis of Gastonia, N.C., Grover Quinn of Sharon and Carl Quinn of Rock Hill; two sisters, Ella Mae Murray of Sharon and Doris Jones of Jonesville; and four grandchildren.

York Funeral Home is in charge.

Sulee C. Marquard

CHESTER - Mrs. Sulee Catledge Marquard, 80, of 735 Parkway died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at Chester County Hospital.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Flint Street Church of God, with the Rev. Edward C. Tager Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

Born in Chesterfield County, Mrs. Marquard was retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Flint Street Church of God. She was the widow of Clyde W. Marquard.

Surviving are her son, Gene Catledge of Chester; her daughter, Doris Funderburk of Lancaster; her brother, Johnny Catledge of Chester; three sisters, Robina Holly of Chester, Pearl Hall of Rock Hill and Lily Bell Hinson of Lancaster; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Wright's Home for Funerals.

Jessie Nichols

YORK - Mrs. Jessie Allen Nichols, 80, of Hall Street died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, at Peachtree Center in Gaffney.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Wesleyan Church, with the Rev. Todd Reynolds officiating. Burial will be at Beersheba Presbyterian Church cemetery in York.

A retired textile worker, Mrs. Nichols was the widow of Guy Nichols. she was a member of First Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are her son, David Nichols of Anderson; four daughters, Kay N. Hames of Gaffney, Doris N. Carver of Moorehead City, N.C., Shirley Nichols of Mount Pleasant and Marcia Nichols of Earl, N.C.; his sister, Nora A. Meek of York; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at York Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Peachtree Center, The Residents Fund, N. Limestone Street, Gaffney, SC 29340.

Georgie Pettit

CHESTER - Mrs. Georgie Sealy Hopper Pettit, 84, of 512 First St. died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at Chester County Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Barron Funeral Home, with the Revs. Ron Gaddy and Roger Harper officiating. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Pettit was retired from Springs Industries. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church and the widow of J.W. Pettit.

Surviving are two sons, Harold Hopper and Elbert E. Hopper Jr., both of Chester; her daughter, Margaret H. Hall of Brevard, N.C.; her brother, George W. Sealy of York; her sister, Clara S. Meek of York; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
