Floyd Roberts

GREAT FALLS - Mr. Floyd L. Roberts, 77, of 400 Nickey Road died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Great Falls Church of God, with the Revs. C.E. Thomas and Charles Hendricks officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Roberts was retired from J.P. Stevens and was an Army veteran of World War II. He attended Great Falls Church of God.

Surviving are his wife, Ruby B. Roberts; three sons, Thomas C. Roberts of Huntersville, N.C., Lt. Col. David Roberts of Evans, Ga., and Phillip A. Roberts of Great Falls; his daughter, Marlene R. Hinson of Lancaster; his sister, Maude Heffner of Great Falls; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Great Falls Church of God, 34 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC 29055 or Hospice Community Care, 325 South Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Kevin Carter

ROCK HILL - Mr. Kevin Eugene Carter, 25, of 1589 Old Friendship Road died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. David W. Carter and the Rev. Dr. Tommy Huddleston officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.

Mr. Carter was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Lesslie Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving are his father, Calvin E. Carter of Rock Hill; his mother, Lynn B. Goodwin of Rock Hill; and two brothers, Jason P. Carter and Michael Brandon Carter, both of Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his father, Calvin E. Carter, 1610 Old Friendship Road, Rock Hill.

Robbie Cunningham

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Robbie "Tillie" Cunningham, 89, of 1150 Glenarden Drive died Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at United AME Zion Church in Fort Mill, with the Rev. T.R. McBeth officiating, and the Revs. Ray Thompson, Mildred Patton, David R. Baker and Loretta Adams assisting.

Mrs. Cunningham was a retired domestic worker and attended United AME Zion Church.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, who were her caretakers, Hattie Mae Kirkpatrick and William Abe Kirkpatrick, both of the home; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home. The body may be viewed from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Parker Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Saturday.

W.T. Epps Jr.

HALIFAX, Va. - Mr. W.T. Epps Jr., 71, of 5081 Chatham Road died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at Halifax Regional Hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Powell Funeral Home, with the Revs. Tim Earnhardt and Elwood Seamster officiating. Burial will be at Asbury United Methodist Church cemetery.

Mr. Epps was past president of the Halifax County Cattleman's Association. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Jean Bane Epps; three sons, W.T. "Tommy" Epps III of South Boston, Va., and Bane Epps and Mac Epps, both of Halifax; his daughter, Dianne Seamster of Clover; two brothers, William Lee Epps of Vernon Hill, Va., and Ronald Dean Epps of Rustburg, Va.; three sisters, Peggy Palmer, Juanita Shield and Kitty Hayslett, all of Lynchburg, Va.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

C. Randy Fox

SIMPSONVILLE - Mr. Clyde Randy Fox, 47, of 403 Brookmere Road died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Cannon Funeral Home, Jones Chapel, with the Rev. Rodney Hoard officiating. Entombment will be at Graceland East Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Mr. Fox was employed by Kuppenheimer Mens Clothing and a volunteer at Plain Elementary School. He was a member of Bethuel Baptist Church.

Surviving are his parents, the Rev. Clyde L. and Cleo Chambers Fox of Simpsonville; and his brother, Barry Fox of Mauldin.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 tonight at Cannon Funeral Home, Jones Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Upstate Chapter, P.O. Box 1086, Simpsonville, SC 29861-1086 or to Bethuel Baptist Church, 21 Dolphin St., Greenville, SC 29605.

John Jefferies

ROCK HILL - Mr. John Keith Jefferies, 64, of 1867 Farrow Drive died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, in Lyman, Colo.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Cauthen Funeral Home.

A native of Birmingham, England, Mr. Jefferies was a member of The New Church and was an automotive engineer.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret Jefferies of Rock Hill; his son, Ian Jefferies of Knowle; his daughter, Susan Jefferies of Cadeby, United Kingdom; his stepson, Gregory Cox of Arbroath, United Kingdom; his stepdaughter, Melanie Ashworth of Stratford-Upon-Avon, United Kingdom; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, 2838 Devine St., Columbia, SC 29205.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Darryl Karle

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Mr. Darryl Scott Karle, 30, of 2724 Sood Road, Knoxville, Tenn., formerly of Lake Wylie, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Divine Saviour Catholic Church, with Father Edward McDevitt officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

A native of Charlotte, Mr. Karle was a graduate of Charlotte Catholic High School and Winthrop College. He attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Kass Karle of Knoxville; his son, Michael Christian Karle of Knoxville; his daughter, Rachel Morgan Karle of Knoxville; his parents, Ron and Aura Karle of Lake Wylie; two brothers, Gregory Karle of Cincinnati and Todd Karle of Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Victoria K. Estevan of Rock Hill, and Stefanie K. Gazich of Blaine, Minn.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at York Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, 900 E. Oak Hill Ave., Knoxville, TN 37917.
