Clara Mae Faile

KERSHAW - Mrs. Clara Mae Munn Faile, formerly of Kershaw, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at Morehead Hospital in Eden.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Bethany Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Rivers officiating. Burial will be at Kershaw City Cemetery.

Mrs. Faile was the widow of Toy Faile and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Patsy Joyce of Stoneville, N.C., and Debbie Young of Kershaw; her sister, Geneva Carter of Adalusia, Ala.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Cauthen Funeral Home is in charge.

J. Keith Jefferies

ROCK HILL - Mr. John Keith Jefferies, 64, of 1867 Farrow Drive died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, in Lyman, Colo.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, with the Rev. Dr. Charles Foss officiating.

A native of Birmingham, England, Mr. Jefferies was a member of The New Church and was an automotive engineer.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret Jefferies of Rock Hill; his son, Ian Jefferies of Knowle; his daughter, Susan Jefferies of Cadeby; his stepson, Gregory Cox of Arbroath; his stepdaughter, Melanie Ashworth of Stratford-Upon-Avon; and three grandchildren, all of the United Kingdom.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, 2838 Devine St., Columbia, SC 29205.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Ross Kennedy Jr.

ROCK HILL - Mr. Ross Arthur Kennedy Jr., 64, of 735 S. Confederate Ave. died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.

A native of Dunbar, Pa., Mr. Kennedy was a retired maintenance supervisor with Home Realty and Management. He was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are his wife, Rhoda Kennedy of the home; two sons, Ross A. Kennedy III and Andrew Kennedy, both of Rock Hill; four daughters, Bonnie Smith of Hartselle, Ala., and Shirley Brazil, Carolyn Patrick and Catherine Buys, all of Rock Hill; his brother, Wilbert Wills of Dunbar, Pa., three sisters, Catherine Cook of Dunbar, Pa., Rosella Barnett of Amieillo, Texas, and Celia White of Pasadena, Texas; and nine grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Burham-Crouse Funeral Home.

Greene Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Fred Keziah

GREAT FALLS - Mr. Fred Ervin Keziah, 72, of 24 Walnut St. died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Great Falls Church of God, with the Revs. C.E. Thomas and James Chappell officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Keziah was retired from J.P. Stevens. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He attended the schools of Chesterfield County and the Great Falls Church of God.

Surviving are his wife, Gussie Taylor Keziah; two sons, John F. "Fireball" Keziah of Great Falls and Danny Ray Keziah of Lancaster; two sisters, Lula Raffaldt of Great Falls and Mary Bowers of Rock Hill; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.

The Rev. E. Guy Longshore

ROCK HILL - The Rev. E. Guy Longshore, 63, of 782 Cambridge Circle died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Cleveland. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

A native of Newberry, Rev. Longshore was a pastor in North and South Carolina for 42 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rock Hill. He was a graduate of Newberry High School, Furman University in Greenville and Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C.

Surviving are his wife, Joanne Flack Longshore of Rock Hill; two sons, James G. Longshore and Jerold E. Longshore, both of Charlotte; three daughters, Anne Marie Wood of Woodbridge, Va., Gwendolyn Geddings of Durham, N.C., and Elizabeth Longshore of Rock Hill and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends following the service at First Baptist Church in Cleveland.

James Sims

ROCK HILL - Mr. James Edward Sims, 64, of 2074 Montclair Drive died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Eastside Baptist Church, with the Revs. Jimmy Holley and Jerry Devinney officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Sims was an U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was retired from the Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Co. and worked as a security guard with Security Forces in Charlotte. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Jo Ann Roddey Sims of the home; two sons, Michael Leonard Sims and James Robert "Robbie" Sims, both of Rock Hill; his brother, Charles Sims of Lancaster; two sisters, Dorothy Cheshire of Catawba and Joyce Cole of Rock Hill; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Community Care, 325 S. Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Martha Williams

ROCK HILL - Ms. Martha Alice Williams, 68, of 1915 Ebenezer Road died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, at White Oak Manor.

The graveside service was 3 p.m. Saturday at Neely's Creek ARP Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Paul Blank officiating.

Ms. Williams attended Christian Baptist Church in Rock Hill.

Surviving are five brothers, David L. Williams and Elbert "Bert" Williams Jr., both of Rock Hill, Roger E. Williams of Lancaster, John W. Williams of Fort Mill and Howard B. "Billy" Williams of McConnells; and three sisters, Bessie W. Meadows, Joann W. Ghant and Peggy W. Costner, all of Rock Hill.

Memorials may be made to Christian Baptist Church, 327 S. Stonewall St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.
