James Bradford

FORT MILL - Mr. James Robert Bradford, 72, of 100 Morrow Bradford Drive died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Unity Presbyterian Church, with Revs. Dr. Daniel Robert Holloway and Jeannie Bickett officiating. Burial will be at Unity Cemetery.

A native of Fort Mill, Mr. Bradford was a graduate of Fort Mill High School and attended High Point College.

He was the owner of Bradford's Store for 42 years. He was a lifetime member of Unity Presbyterian Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher and deacon.

Surviving are his wife, Catherine Davis Bradford of Fort Mill; his daughter, Anne Bradford Gasper of Columbia and Orangeburg; his brother, William Rufus Bradford Jr. of Fort Mill; his sister, Elizabeth B. Stone of Rock Hill; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Wolfe Funeral Home and other times at Gable Oaks Apartments, Building 804, Apt. 202, at 752 Patriot Parkway, Rock Hill.

Memorials may be made to Unity Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1267, Fort Mill, SC 29716 or to a charity of one's choice.

James Davidson Sr.

CLOVER - Mr. James Cohen Davidson Sr., 95, of 1145 N. S.C. 161, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, at White Oak Manor in York.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Bethany A.R.P. Church, with the Rev. Alan A. Morrow officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of Clover, Mr. Davidson was a lifelong member of Bethany A.R.P. Church, where he served as an active elder for more than sixty years, clerk of session and choir director. He was a retired farmer and had worked as a tire salesman at Plonk Oil in Kings Mountain, N.C.

He was the widower of Susie Plaxco Davidson.

Surviving are two sons, James C. Davidson Jr. of Gastonia, N.C., and John W. Davidson of Clover; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 tonight at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home.

Memorial may be made to Bethany A.R.P. Church Piano Fund, 1454 N. S.C. 161, Clover, SC 29710.

Doris Derrick

FORT MILL - Mrs. Doris Gibson Derrick, 82, of 2300 S.C. 160 West, died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, at Ebenezer Nursing Home.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Flint Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dan Griffin officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of Fort Mill, Mrs. Derrick was a 1933 graduate of Fort Mill High School and later attended the University of South Carolina. Mrs. Derrick was retired from the Celanese Corporation and was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, T. W. Derrick of Fort Mill; two sons, Donald G. Derrick of Rock Hill and Tillman W. "Buddy" Derrick, Jr. of West Columbia; two brothers, Robert B. Gibson of Camden and Eugene H. Gibson of Chatham, N.J.; her sister, Alice B. Boylston of Columbia; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Wolfe Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Margaret Gaither

FORT MILL - Mrs. Margaret Keys Campbell Gaither, 77, of 114 Country Club Drive died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, at home.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Unity Cemetery, with Dr. Dan Holloway officiating.

A native of Anderson, Mrs. Gaither graduated from Hanna High School in Anderson and attended Anderson College. She retired from Leroy Springs and Co., where she was a longtime secretary in the recreation department.

She was the widow of Thomas K. Gaither. She was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church, the Dogwood Garden Club, the Lady Golfers and the Leroy Springs Senior Citizens Group.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas K. Gaither Jr. of Pawleys Island and William E. Gaither of Fort Mill; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends this afternoon at the home.

Memorials may be made to Unity Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1267, Fort Mill, SC 29715 or to Hospice Community Care, 325 South Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29732.

Oscar Hullett (1 of 2)

YORK - Mr. Oscar Neal Hullett, 88, of Cedar Terrace Apartments, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at York Funeral Home. Burial will be at Bethany A.R.P. Church cemetery in Clover.

A native of York County, Mr. Hullett was retired from Pharr Yarn Mills in Clover. He was the widower of Millie Humphries Hullett.

Surviving are three stepsons, David Hartness of Rock Hill and Butch Hartness and Buddy Humphries, both of York; five stepdaughters, Marie Edens of Hilton Head, Josephine Vinson of Seneca, Shirley Howe of Rock Hill and Mary Ramsey and Nancy Parker, both of York; two sisters; 15 step-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at York Funeral Home.

Oscar Hullett (2 of 2)

YORK - Mr. Oscar Neal Hullett, 88, of Cedar Terrace Apartments died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at York Funeral Home. Burial will be at Bethany ARP Church Cemetery in Clover.

Mr. Hullett was a York County native. He was retired from Pharr-Yarn Mills of Clover and was the widower of Millie Humphries Hullett.

Surviving are three stepsons, Butch Hartness and Buddy Humphries, both of York, and David Hartness of Rock Hill; five daughters, Mary Ramsey and Nancy Parker, both of York, Shirley Howe of Rock Hill, Mary Edens of Hilton Head and Josephine Vinson of Seneca; two sisters, Winnie Aldie Stewart of Clover and Mary Mattie Stewart of York; 15 stepgrandchildren; and 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Daniel Kargola

LAKE WYLIE - Mr. Daniel Bert Kargola, 54, of 5076 Cliff Circle died Monday, Dec. 7, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 7 p.m. Monday at York Funeral Home.

A native of Detroit, Mr. Kargola was a U.S. Army veteran and owned a grading company.

Surviving are his father, Joe Kargola of Lake City, Fla.; his mother, Bonnie A. Luce of Pineville, N.C.; his son, Jeffrey Kargola of Mission Vigo, Calif.; his daughter, Kristie Kargola of Mission Vigo, Calif.; three brothers, Billy Kirtley of Fla., Kevin Luce of Las Vegas and Kenny Luce of Charlotte; and his sister, Kathy Lenumax of New Mexico.
