Eunice Holt

LANCASTER - Mrs. Eunice Parnell Holt, 90, formerly of State Road, Summerville, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, at the Lancaster Convalescent Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Salem United Methodist Church in Timmonsville, with the Rev. Elizabeth Smith officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A native of Timmonsville, Mrs. Holt retired as a public school teacher after working in the area for 46 years. She was the widow of the Rev. James Rufus.

Surviving are her son, Thomas Holt, of Omaha, Neb.; two daughters, Marian White of Columbia and Jane Carnes of Lancaster; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home and at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Salem United Methodist Church. The family will be at the home of Jane Carnes, 182 Arrowood Ave.

Memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church music fund, c/o Donnie Watford, 976 E St. Paul Road, Timmonsville, SC 29161.

Christopher James

HEATH SPRINGS - Mr. Christopher Lee James, 13, died Friday, Dec. 25, 1998.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at The Open Arm Ministry, with the Rev. Donald Deese officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Plain Baptist Church cemetery.

Christopher was a student at Barr Street School in Lancaster.

Surviving are his parents, Frank William and Patricia Diane Ivey James; his brother, Jason Eugene James of Hartsville; his sister, Cathy Langley of Heath Springs; and his grandparents, Wade and Ruth Ivey of Kershaw.

The family will receive friends at the home of Wade and Ruth Ivey, 4736 Mount Pisgah Highway, Kershaw.

Cauthen Funeral Home is in charge.

April Lee

LAKE WYLIE - Mrs. April Aldridge Lee, 44, of 4138-A Charlotte Highway died Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be at Dorchester Road Nazarene Church in Charleston.

Mrs. Lee was a customer service representative with American Airlines.

Surviving are her husband, William Perry Lee; her son, William "Chip" Lee of Lake Wylie; her daughter, Kendra Lynn Lee of Lake Wylie; her father, William Aldridge of Charleston; three sisters, Sandy Southerland of Elk Creek, Va., Susan Smith of Charleston and Carol Leth of Charleston; and three grandchildren.

Greene Funeral Home is in charge.

John Lindsay Sr.

ROCK HILL - Mr. John Henry Lindsay Sr., 68, of 110 Hicks St. died Friday, Dec. 25, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Nazareth Baptist Church, with the Revs. J.H. Bailey and Billy Wilson and Pastor John Evans Sr. and Elder Billy Johnson officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mr. Lindsay attended Nazareth Baptist Church, where he was on the usher board. He was a member of the gospel choir, attended York County public schools and was the widower of Annie Ruth Sanders.

Surviving are three sons, James Hinton of Rock Hill, John Lindsay Jr. of Tucker, Ga., and Danny Lindsay of Chester; his daughter, Shirley Ann Brown of Kentucky; his mother, Nancy Lindsay of Rock Hill; three brothers, Jerry Lindsay of Rock Hill, James Lindsay of Edgemoor and Robert Lindsay of Rock Hill; two sisters, Sherlene Lindsay of Rock Hill and Frances Thomas of Rock Hill; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The body may be viewed from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Robinson Funeral Home.

Alfred McCullough

ROCK HILL - Mr. Alfred Andre McCullough, 32, of 928 Southland Drive died Friday, Dec. 25, 1998, at his home.

The funeral will be 6 p.m. today at the United House of Prayer For All People, with Apostle E.W. Webb officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at Grandview Memorial Cemetery.

A native of Philadelphia, Mr. McCullough attended the United House of Prayer For All People and graduated from Rock Hill High School.

Surviving are his son, Shiree Burns of Newport News, Va.; his parents, Esther and Norman Hutchison of Rock Hill; his sister, Sharon Gaston of Rock Hill; and his brother, Norman Hutchison of Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends at 5 p.m. today at the church and other times at the home.

Clemons Funeral Home is in charge.

Minnie Patterson

LANCASTER - Mrs. Minnie Viola Swails Patterson, 83, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, at the Lancaster Convalescent Center.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hartley Funeral Home, with the Revs. Allen Brazzell and Bob Stewart and Dr. John Swails officiating. Burial will be at Eastside Cemetery in Rockingham, N.C.

A native of Andrews, Mrs. Patterson was a homemaker and attended Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are her husband, Harry Patterson of Lancaster; two sons, Richard Patterson of Lancaster and David Patterson of Charlotte; two brothers, T.D. Swails of Ninety Six and Paul Swails of Rockingham, N.C.; three sisters, Pauline Patterson and Bonnie Webb of Rockingham and Etta Gillis of Laurinburg, N.C.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Richard Patterson, 1328 Foxfire Drive.

Memorials may be made to Falcon Children's Home.

Margaret Platt

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Margaret Pendleton Platt, 90, of Rock Hill died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, at Ebenezer Nursing Home.

A committal service will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at St. Paul United Methodist Church cemetery in Clover. A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. at Cauthen Funeral Home, with the Revs. Tim Tomlinson, Larry Wilson and James Platt officiating.

A native of York County, Mrs. Platt worked at Samark and Rug Mill, Efrid's Department Store and Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Co. She was a charter member of Lakewood Baptist Church and was the widow of Daniel Noah Platt.

Surviving are her son, Bill Platt of Rock Hill; her daughter, Dot Hutchinson of Rock Hill; four sisters, Essie Hope, Edna Hoover, Virginia Neely and Frankie Armstrong, all of Rock Hill; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends after the memorial service and at other times at the homes of Dot and Larry Kelly and Bill and Doris Platt.

Memorials may be made to Lakewood Baptist Church, 3520 Mount Gallant Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 or to the charity of one's choice.
