Pearl Curry

GREAT FALLS - Mrs. Pearl Curry of Gibson End Road died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at Providence Hospital in Columbia.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Washington Funeral Home in Great Falls

Minnie Foster

LANCASTER - Mrs. Minnie Bowers Foster, 88, of White Oak Manor died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Covenant Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Bert Welch and the Rev. J.R. Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Travelers Rest.

Mrs. Foster was a homemaker and a volunteer at White Oak Manor. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church and was the widow of Edward Paul Foster.

Surviving are her daughter, Elaine Foster Wade of Lancaster; her sister, Rosa Copeland of Columbia; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends after the service and at other times at the home of Elaine Wade, 1142 Canterbury Drive, Lancaster.

Memorials may be made to Covenant Baptist Church, 165 Craig Manor Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Hartley Funeral Home is in charge.

William Fox II

LANCASTER - Mr. William August Fox II, 70, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.

The funeral Mass will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Catherine Catholic Church. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Mr. Fox served in the Army. He was employed with Lehigh Structural Steel Co. in Allentown, Pa., and was transferred to Lancaster as plant superintendent with Lehigh-Lancaster Inc. He retired in 1993. He was a fourth degree knight with the Knights of Columbus and an active member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret Shalenik Fox; four sons, Bill Fox of Matthews, N.C., Mark Fox of Florence, Joey Fox of Charlotte, and Andy Fox of Tokyo, Japan; six daughters, Mary Smith of Arden, N.C., and Kathy Creech of Sumter, Betsy Thomas of Young Harris, Ga., Janey deRieux of Simpsonville, Terry Roche of Duluth, Ga., and Peggy Greer of Alberta, Canada.; two brothers, Francis Fox and Jim Fox; three sisters, Teresa Schlegel, Mitzi Zeiner and Jeannie McGuire; 35 grandchildren; and his great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hartley Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to St. Catherine Catholic Church building fund, 720 W. Meeting St., Lancaster, SC 29720.

Clifford Kelly

KERSHAW - Mr. Clifford Eugene Kelly, 64, of 5958 Center Grove Road died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Center Grove Baptist Church, with the Revs. Charlie Simmons and Jimmy Hanf officiating. Burial will be at Kershaw City Cemetery.

Mr. Kelly was a cabinetmaker. He was a member of Hart Masonic Lodge No. 380 in Lancaster and a member of Center Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Joanne Eubanks Kelly; his son, Donald Kelly of Lancaster; three brothers, David Kelly and Roy Kelly, both of Lancaster, Richard Kelly of Chester; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home in Lancaster.

Memorials may be made to Center Grove Baptist Church, 6028 Center Grove Road, Kershaw, SC 29067.

Sarah Freeman

McCONNELLS - Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Freeman, 68, of 155 Hidden Branch Drive died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Wright's Funeral Home in York.

Curtis Knight

LANCASTER - Mr. Curtis Lee Knight, 87, of 2468 Camp Creek Road died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at home.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Frank Lybrand officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mr. Knight was a retired car dealer and farmer. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and was the widower of Lillie Mae Hilton Knight.

Surviving are his son, Bobby Lee Knight of Lancaster; three daughters, Martha Finley and Carolyn Parker, both of Lancaster, and Jessie Mae Powell of Columbia; his brother, Ray Knight of Lancaster; three sisters, Connie McNaughton of Kershaw, and Sarah Burr and Pearlie Wright, both of Lancaster; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Hartley Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Martha Finley, 2452 Camp Creek Road, Lancaster.

Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 1665 Zion Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Frankie Moore

CLOVER - Ms. Frankie J. Moore, 58, of 109 Queensgate Road died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, N.C.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Pleasant AME Zion Church in Gastonia, with Elder Carl Glenn officiating. Burial will be at Clover Community Cemetery.

Surviving are two daughters, Maury Martin of Gastonia and Regina F. Moore of Toledo, Ohio; her sister, Mary M. Bratton of Clover; and her grandchild.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The body may be viewed from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Generation Funeral Home in Clover.

Gregory Morris

MOORESVILLE, N.C. - Mr. Gregory Scott Morris, 15, of Beaten Path died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at The Oratory in Rock Hill, with Father David Valtierra officiating.

A native of Chester, Mr. Morris attended East Middle School in Statesville.

Surviving are his parents, John Thomas and Louise Koenig Morris of Mooresville; his brother, Jeffrey Thomas Morris of the home; his grandmother, Bridget Francis Creaven Morris of Richburg.

The family will receive friends at The Oratory after the service.
