Rufus Bradberry
ROCK HILL - Mr. Rufus Willie Bradberry, 71, formerly of Route 3, Abbeville, died Thursday, June 11, 1998, at Meadow Haven Nursing Care Center.
Burial was at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Mr. Bradberry was a retired forklift mechanic with the Milliken Co. He was an Army veteran of World War II. A native of Abbeville, he was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Lucille Elrod Bradberry; his son, Mark J. Bradberry of Marietta, Ga.; three daughters, Victoria B. Goodbar of Rock Hill, Rhonda B. Harman of Laurens and Barbara B. Boddie of McCormick; four brothers, E.H. Bradberry of Virginia Beach, Va., Vernon Bradberry of North Augusta, Clarence Bradberry of Calhoun Falls and Ansel Bradberry of Abbeville; two sisters, Clara Hicks of Anderson and Doris Murdock of Belton; and 12 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Patient Care Fund c/o Rock Hill Dialysis Center, 2115 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
Harris Funeral Home in Abbeville was in charge.

Celeste Campbell
LEESVILLE - Mrs. Celeste L. Campbell, 86, of Leesville died Sunday, June 21, 1998.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Florence Baptist Church in Pelion. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, Francis L. Campbell; two daughters, Claudette Link of Gaston and Mickey L. Campbell of West Columbia; her son, Milford Campbell of Lexington; two sisters, Ruth Gunter of Gilbert and Gladys Gunter of Lexington; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia.

Robert Christman
KERSHAW - Mr. Robert Wesley Christman, 69, of 8001 Old Jefferson Highway died Monday, June 22, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Midway Baptist Church cemetery, with the Rev. Randall Runion officiating.
Mr. Christman was a retired machinist and engineer for Stafford Rail Products. He attended Midway Baptist Church and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Wyatt Christman; three brothers, Clarence Christman of Florence, Walter Christman of Gretna, La., and George Christman of New Holland, Penn.; and his sister, Mary Ballinger of Phoenixville, Penn.
The family will receive friends at home.
Memorials may be made to Midway Baptist Church, 7760 Old Jefferson Highway, Kershaw, SC 29067.

ROCK HILL - Mr. Richard Wayne Clifton, 65, of 2069 Downey St. died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Cauthen Funeral Home.

ROCK HILL - Mr. Richard Wayne Clifton, 65, of 2069 Downey St. died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church, with the Rev. Mike Ditton officiating.
Mr. Clifton was a founder and member of the First Christian Church. He was employed at Caterpillar. A native of Deland, Ill., he served in the Army in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion in Deland, Ill., and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Monticello, Ill. He was a member of the Waffle House and Huddle House breakfast clubs.
Surviving are his son, Richard Alan Clifton of Orange, Va.; his daughter, Paula Gwyn Gissing of St. Peters, Mo.; two stepsons, Dallas K. Smith of Rock Hill and Alan Smith of Fayetteville, Tenn.; two brothers, Wendell Clifton of Deland, and Darman Clifton of Monticello; his sister, Linda Hammond of Monticello; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral home.

Henry Heffner
YORK - Mr. Henry Payton Heffner, 89, of 1022 Perla Road died Monday, June 22, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center of Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at York Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raymond Johnson officiating and the Rev. Richard Pitts assisting. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Heffner was a retired card tender at Springs Industries. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Katie Foster Heffner; his son, Harvey Hunter Heffner of York; his daughter, Juanita Heffner Hollis of York; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at York Funeral Home.

Samonta McCoulley
ROCK HILL - Samonta McCoulley, the infant child of Tracy McCoulley of Clover and Melinda Parker of Rock Hill, died Friday, June 19, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.
Surviving in addition to the parents is the child's brother, Anthony Parker of Rock Hill.

Robert Smith
ROCK HILL - Robert Clayton Smith III, the infant son of Robert Clayton Smith Jr. and Deborah Kennedy Smith of 1142 Stanley Drive, died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at Carolinas Medical Center.
Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grandview Memorial Park.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his brother, Choncey K. Smith of the home; his paternal grandparents, Rosetta Fee Smith of Rock Hill and Robert Clayton Smith Sr. of Charlotte; and his maternal grandmother, Gussie Massey Kennedy of Rock Hill.

Lonnie Summerville
FORT MILL - Mr. Lonnie Lee Summerville, 88, of 140 Ed Thompson Road died Monday, June 22, 1998, at home.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Stough Memorial Baptist Church in Pineville, with the Revs. Grady Faulk and Bruce League officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Charlotte.
Mr. Summerville was the widower of Jessie Martin Summerville. He was a retired merchant of Fort Mill Township and was a member of Stough Memorial Baptist Church. He served in World War II in the Air Force.
Surviving is a cousin, Sara Puckett of Charlotte.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Community Care, 325 S. Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29732.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Stough Memorial Baptist Church.

Hannah West
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Hannah Louise West, 95, of 1915 Ebenezer Road died Monday, June 22, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.
A graveside service will be 3:30 p.m. today at Laurelwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Hegwood Sr. officiating.
A native of Clarendon County, Mrs. West was the widow of Eddie H. Brown and Ernest West. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two sons, Edward Henry Brown and Raymond Douglas Brown, both of Columbia; four daughters, Helen Maxine Williams of Ridgeland, Jacqueline Iris James of Elgin, Patty B. Kirby of Charlotte and Cindy Jackson of Columbia; her sister, Janey Casey of Charlottesville, Va.; 18 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery after the service.
Greene Funeral Home is in charge.

Bobbie Young
CHESTER - Mrs. Bobbie Joyce Porter Young, 51, of 2912 Cassels Road died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at Wallace Thomson Hospital.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at West Chester Baptist Church, with the Revs. Joey Beasley and Mike Woods officiating. Burial will be at Wilkesburg Baptist Church cemetery.
A native of Union, Mrs. Young was a former textile worker and a member of West Chester Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Young; her daughter, Mandy Sweatt of Lockhart; her mother, Willie Vanderford Sweatt of Lockhart; her brother, Timmy Porter of Lockhart; and her sister, Peggy Ponder of Lockhart.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home in Union and at other times at home.
