Mary Hageman

CHESTER - Mary Sabo Hageman, 64, of 1417 Minter Road died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

Services will be private.

Surviving are two sons, Donald Hageman of York and Alan Scott Hageman of Denver; two daughters, Karen Ann Hageman and Gaye Melody Hageman, both of Chester; and two sisters, Betty Meyers and Gayle Hasburg, both of Tonawanda, N.Y.

Greene Funeral Home is in charge.

Carol Hunter (1 of 2)

NEW ORLEANS - Mrs. Carol June Bennett Hunter, 49, of 1030 Royal St., formerly of Rock Hill, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Bultman Funeral Home, 3338 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans.

Surviving are two sons, Adam Graham Hunter and Noel Graham Hunter, both of New Orleans; her father, Charles Bennett; her stepmother, Sara Edwards Bennett of Spruce Pine, N.C.; her brother, Charles Thomas Bennett of Irmo; two stepbrothers, Frank Ramsey of Atlanta and Paul Ramsey of San Angelo, Texas; her sister, Gail McMillan of Waynesboro, Ga.; and her stepsister, Mary Buckle of Mooresville, N.C.

Laura Mahaffey

FORT MILL - Mrs. Laura Robinson Mahaffey, 64, of 105 Morgan St. died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Sisk Memorial Baptist Church, with the Revs. Roland Dry and William Ferguson officiating. Burial will be at Unity Cemetery.

Mrs. Mahaffey was retired from Celanese. She was the widow of William "Mo" Mahaffey. She was a member of Sisk Memorial Baptist Church and attended the Indian Land Church of God.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda Hege of Charlotte and Terrie Newell of Indian Land; five grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Wolfe Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Memorials may be made to Indian Land Church of God building program, 8559 Shelley Mullis Road, Fort Mill, SC 29715.

Winifred Miller

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Mrs. Winifred E. Miller, 97, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Rock Hill, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998, at Miller's Merry Manor.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by D.O. McComb Funeral Home in Fort Wayne.

Surviving are her son, Ivan Miller of Avilla, Ind.; two daughters, Virginia Buck of Rock Hill and Marilyn Weaver of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Carleen Norris

FORT MILL - Mrs. Sarah Carleen Jackson Norris, 78, of 1560 Country Lodge Road died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Wolfe Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roger Brown officiating. Burial will be 3:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville.

Mrs. Norris was the widow of Wilton Norris. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Taylors.

Surviving are her son, Thomas "Tommy" Clamp of Fort Mill; her daughter, Patricia Bradley of Gaston, Ga.; her brother, Garnett Jackson of Jackson, Ga.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Wolfe Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her son, Tommy Clamp, 1560 Country Lodge Road.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 1120 Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730 or to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1237, Greenville, SC 29602.

William Sibley

ROCK HILL - Mr. William Pleasant Sibley, 100, of Westminster Towers died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Drs. Doug Martin and Sollie Hicks officiating. Burial will be at Laurelwood Cemetery.

Mr. Sibley was a native of Chester County. He joined First Baptist Church in 1918 and was first elected deacon in 1927. He served on many committees, including pulpit, treasury and building. He was elected the first Honorary Life Deacon in 1993.

Mr. Sibley was employed by Arcade Mill, a division of Mount Vernon Mills Inc. for 32 years. He retired in 1963 as secretary and general manager. He served 20 years on the Rock Hill City Council, with 12 of those years as mayor pro-tem.

He served on the board of directors of First Federal Savings and Loan, The Salvation Army and YMCA. He served as president of the Kiwanis Club and Red Cross. An accountant, Mr. Sibley was a member of the National Association of Cost Accountants.

Mr. Sibley was a charter member of the Rock Hill Railroad Club. He was the widower of Lucille Acker Sibley.

Surviving are two sons, William M. Sibley of Fort Mill and Charles A. Sibley of Chapin; three brothers, Robert E. Sibley of Rock Hill, George R. Sibley of Walhalla and Raymond R. Sibley of San Clemente, Calif.; two sisters, Millie Ringstaff and Lorraine Jones, both of Rock Hill; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Bass Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 215 E. Main St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

William True

McCONNELLS - Mr. William Carl True, 90, of 105 True Road died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill.

The graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Armenia United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Chip McArthur officiating.

A native of York County, Mr. True was a retired farmer and automobile mechanic.

Surviving is his wife, Mildred Abell True.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Wright's Funeral Home in Chester.
