Brianna Moree
PAGELAND - Brianna Lin Moree, the infant daughter of Davie Gene and April Cauthen Moree, died Tuesday, June 23, 1998, at home.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Lancaster Memorial Park, with the Rev. Billy King officiating.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her brother, Bryant Ray Moree of the home; her paternal grandparents, James Lee and Myrtle Moree Sr.; and her maternal grandmother, Lynn Preslar of Lancaster.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service at Cauthen Funeral Home in Lancaster and at other times at the home, Route 4, Pageland.

Mabel Myers
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Mabel R. Myers, 69, of 3550 Wade Dills Road died Monday, June 22, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Olivet Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Chip McArthur officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.
A native of Lowrys, Mrs. Myers was a homemaker. She was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her husband, Robert J. Myers; her son, Richard McDaniel of York; her daughter, Linda Auten of Lumberton, N.C.; six sisters, Thelma Jones and Barbara McDaniel, both of Rock Hill, Madeline Hagler, Nettie Benfield, Dorothy Gordon and Jean Blackmon, all of York; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Bass Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Allison Paul, 2149 McConnells Highway, Rock Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Olivet Presbyterian Church, 159 Church St., McConnells, SC 29726.

Kathleen Rollins
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Kathleen "Tab" Rector Rollins, 80, of 404 N. Jones Ave. died Tuesday, June 23, 1998, at home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Rollins was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. A homemaker, she was the widow of James L. Rollins.
Surviving are four sons, James Donald Rollins of Fayetteville, N.C., Gary A. Rollins of York, the Rev. Danny E. Rollins of Spanaway, Wash., and Eddie S. Rollins of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Marilyn J. Bair and Linda R. Odom, both of Rock Hill; her brother, Roy Rector of Rock Hill; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Walter Smalls
ROCK HILL - Mr. Walter Smalls, 81, of 4445 Givens Road died Tuesday, June 23, 1998, at his home.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Robinson Funeral Home.

William Taylor
ROCK HILL - Mr. William Leroy Taylor, 87, of 2210 Oak Pond Road, formerly of Lancaster, died Tuesday, June 23, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Mahaffey Funeral Home, with the Rev. Walter Clark officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.
A native of Lancaster County, Mr. Taylor was retired from Springs Industries. He served in the Marine Corps. He attended the First Assembly of God Church in Rock Hill and was a member of Hart Masonic Lodge 380 in Lancaster.
Surviving are three daughters, Mildred T. Fowler of Lancaster, Ethel L. Feagan of Matthews, N.C., and Willie T. Foxx of Rock Hill; his stepdaughter, Johnnie R. Deaton of Lancaster, two half sisters, Geneva Dutton and Juanita Adams, both of Lancaster; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Mahaffey Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church, P.O. Box 2581, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

Willie Hill Sr.
CHESTER - Mr. Willie T. Hill Sr., 68, of 2404 Aaron Burr Road died Friday, July 3, 1998, at Chester County Hospital.
The funeral will be 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Blackrock Baptist Church, with the Rev. James W. Wilson Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Hill was a member of Blackrock Baptist Church where he was a choir member, usher and member of the AP&B Society #29.
He was a former member of the Loving Charity Baptist Church. He was a retired textile employee for Springs Industries.
Surviving are his wife, Brownie Lee McCrorey Hill; nine sons, Willie T. Hill Jr. of Charlotte and Woodrow McCrorey, Melvin McCrorey, Robert McCrorey, Jimmy McCrorey, Jessie McCrorey, Roosevelt McCrorey, Leroy McCrorey and Willie James McCrorey, all of Chester; five daughters, Lula Mae Jackson and Virginia Moore, both of Charlotte, Diane Glover of Rock Hill and Rosa Lee McCrorey and Jannie Ree Dash, both of Chester; his mother, Louella Beatty of Richburg; two brothers, Odell Beatty of Richburg and William Beatty of Rock Hill; five sisters, Katherine Greene, Elizabeth Crockett, Susie Gist, Elizabeth Craine and Sarah Harris, all of Richburg; 38 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at King's Funeral Home.
The body will be carried to the church at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Lewis Merck
ROCK HILL - Mr. David Lewis Merck, 64, of 707 Pinebranch Road died Saturday, July 4, 1998, at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Eastside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York.
Born in Havershum, Ga., Mr. Merck was a retiree of Highland Mills in Charlotte and worked part time at Springdale Superette. He was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church and was an Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Maria V. Merck of the home; three sons, David Merck Jr. and Eddie Merck, both of Rock Hill, and Eric Merck of the home; two brothers, Grady Merck of Rock Hill and Harry Merck of Clover; two sisters, Lucille Youngblood of York and Carol Aman of Delta, Colo.; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to Eastside Baptist Church Building Fund, 318 North Jones Ave., Rock Hill, S.C. 29730.

YORK - Mrs. Blanche Montgomery Ramsey, 87, of 1559 Fairhope Road died Friday, July 3, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at York Church of God, with the Revs. Donald Hawkins, Marion Yarborough and James Garner officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Born in York County, Mrs. Ramsey was a retired textile spinner from Cannon Mills. She was a charter member of the York Church of God.
She was the widow of Henry Ramsey.
Surviving are two sons, Carl Ramsey and Franklin Ramsey, both of York; four daughters, Margaret R. Burns, Thelma R. Sipe, Lula R. Elliott and Ruth R. Childress, all of York; two brothers, James "Buck" Montgomery of Appleton, Wis., and Ernest Montgomery of Sharon; four sisters, Mary Lee M. Huskins of Columbus, Ga., Evelyn M. Childers of Calhoun Falls, Ola M. Ramsey of York and Helen Montgomery of Sharon; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at York Funeral Home.
Memorials may be sent to the York Church of God building fund, 210 Charlotte St., York, SC 29745.

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Annie Woods Simpson, 82, of 1071 Melchers Drive died Thursday, July 2, 1998, at her home.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by King's Funeral Home.

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Annie Mae Woods Simpson, 82, of 1071 Melchers Drive, formerly of Chester, died Thursday, July 2, 1998, at her home.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with the Rev. James W. Hope officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Simpson was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she was a member of the hymn choir, the Woods Star of Bethlehem Order of Eastern Star #320 and the CB&A Society. She was the past president of the Missionary Society.
She was the widow of Henry Simpson.
Surviving are three sons, Bobby Simpson of New Jersey and Lawrence Simpson and Larry Simpson, both of Chester; seven daughters, Clarice Norman, Lillie Hurling and Bertha Worthy, all of New Jersey, Mattie Hancock and Anita Hayes, both of Rock Hill, and Cathy Simpson and Cheryl Pendergrass, both of Chester; her stepdaughter, Maretha Owens of Washington D.C.; three brothers, Edward Woods of New Jersey and Richard Woods Jr. and Thomas Woods, both of Chester; 37 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of Kenneth and Cheryl Pendergrass, 504 Lockshire St., Chester.
The body will be carried to the church at 2 p.m. Tuesday. There will be Eastern Star Rites at 7 p.m. Monday at King's Funeral Home.
King's Funeral Home is in charge.

Mary Sipes
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Mary Howe Sipes, 68, of 779 Pine Grove Court died Saturday, July 4, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill, with the Rev. James Gable officiating.
Mrs. Sipes worked at the Park Inn Grill for many years and was a member of Green Hills Fountain Homemakers Club in Fountain, Fla.
Surviving are her husband, Zeneth J. Sipes of Fountain, Fla.; two daughters, Brenda Weiler and Shirley Lane Floyd, both of Rock Hill; two sons, Donald Lane of Mt. Holly, N.C., and Terry Lane of Birmingham, Ala.; two sisters, Ruby Shillinglaw of York and Carolyn Funderburke of Rock Hill; her brother, George Howe of Chicago; six grandchildren and her great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Bass Funeral Home.
