Jessie Norris

ROCK HILL - Mr. Jessie T. Norris, 75, of 315 N. Jones Ave. died Saturday, Nov. 14, 1998, at Beverly Health Care Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. L.L. Hancock officiating. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Norris was educated in Lexington County schools and retired from the Rock Hill Telephone Co. A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Norris was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church, where he was in the senior choir and was a trustee.

Surviving are three stepsons, Lawrence Edwards, Glenn Edwards and Billy Truesdale, all of Rock Hill; four brothers, Lester Dent of Gilbert, Woodrow Norris of Bronx, N.Y., Sylvester Norris of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Bennie L. Norris of San Antonio, Texas; his sister, Eunice Turnipseed of Springs Garden, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home of Billy Truesdale, 1423 Park Walk St.

The body may be viewed from 3 to 6 tonight at Robinson Funeral Home and in the church before the service.

Antha Nunnery

GREAT FALLS - Mrs. Antha Hinson Nunnery, 69, of 5102 Great Falls Highway, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 1998, at Palmetto Baptist Medical Center in Columbia.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Heath Chapel United Methodist Cemetery, with the Rev. John Rumford and Father Thomas Diggs officiating. Burial will be at the cemetery.

A native of Lancaster, Mrs. Nunnery was a retired beautician. She attended Heath Chapel United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and a lay speaker. She was the widow of Charles A. Nunnery.

Surviving are her daughter, Julie Allen of Great Falls; her brother Carl Hinson of Clifton, Colo.; and her sister, Lorna Hinson of Hickory Grove.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.

Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home is in charge.

Ray Price

SURFSIDE BEACH - Mr. Ray Allan Price, 36, of Surfside Beach died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998, at his home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Great Falls Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be at Green Lawn Cemetery.

A native of Great Falls, Mr. Price owned and operated a yellow cab.

Surviving are his wife, Pamela Price, three daughters, Dorothy Leann Price of Surfside Beach, Pamela Suzanne Price of Lancaster and Gloria Diane Price of Surfside Beach; his stepson, Jeremy Helms of Surfside Beach; his stepdaughter, Kayla Helms of Surfside Beach; his parents, Lee and Dorothy Price of Great Falls; two brothers, Ned Price and Tony Price of Great Falls; and his grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home in Great Falls.

Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home is in charge.

Clara Thompson

SHARON - Mrs. Clara B. Thompson, 83, of 4438 George Bridge Road died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998, at Wallace Thomson Hospital in Union.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by King's Funeral Home in Chester.

William Wallace

YORK - Mr. William "Bill" Barron Wallace, 70, of 13 Catherine St. died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998, at his home.

A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Woodside Cemetery in Clover, with the Rev. David Stanford officiating.

A native of York, Mr. Wallace retired from Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Co. He was a member of Clover First Baptist Church and Philanthropic Mason Lodge No. 32. Mr. Wallace also served in the S.C. National Guard and was a World War II Army veteran. He was the widower of Rachel Melton Wallace.

Surviving are three daughters, Annette Wallace and Lisa Wallace, both of York, and Sheila Catoe of Sharon; her brother, Earl Wallace of York; three grandchildren; and his special friend, Nancy Rainer of York.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Clover.

Albert Aikens Sr.

PLYMOUTH, N.C. - Mr. Albert G. Aikens Sr., 77, of 1005 Folly Road, Lot 1, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998, at home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Horner-Walker Funeral Home in Plymouth.

Anna Brantley

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Anna Gloria Bevacqua Brantley, 64, of 3844 Highway 324 died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at the home of her daughter.

The funeral was private.

Mrs. Brantley was employed as a deli clerk at Harris Teeter. She was of the Catholic faith and the widow of Bobby Theodore Brantley.

Surviving are her daughter, April Ann Brantley of Rock Hill; two sons, Barry Brantley of Rock Hill and Michael Brantley of California; two brothers, Frankie Bevacqua and Micky Bevacqua, both of Highland Park, N.J.; and three sisters, Jennie Bevacqua, Jeanette Bevacqua and Mary Ann Jones, Janet McKennon, all of Florida; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Community Care, 325 S. Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Cauthen Funeral Home was in charge.
