John Shehane

LANCASTER - Mr. John Huston Shehane, 57, of 2775 Country Club Drive died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998, at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Westside Baptist Church, with the Revs. James Helms and Elton Hunter officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Mr. Shehane was retired from Springs Industries, Grace Bleachery. He was a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Janice Outen Shehane; his son, John David Shehane of Lancaster; his daughter, Lisa Ann Hinson of Kershaw; his brother, Bobby Randall Shehane of Lancaster; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Mahaffey Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Westside Baptist Church organ fund, 2066 Airport Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Robert Brandon

YORK - Mr. Robert Eugene "Bobby" Brandon, 65, of 102 Barron Park died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill Chapel with Bishop H.H. Burrell officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Mr. Brandon was owner and operator of Brandon's Grocery Store. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mittie Ruth Deal Brandon; two sons, Tracy Brandon of York and Steven Brandon of Kings Mountain, N.C.; five daughters, Debra Hoyle, Kimberly Huffstetler and Angela Phillips McCoy, all of York, Kathy Porter of Kings Mountain and Peggy Jordan of Ohio; three stepsons, Larry Childers of York and Michael Childers and Joey Childers, both of Hickory Grove; his stepdaughter, Patsy Krepps of York; his brother, James C. Brandon of Rock Hill; three sisters, Nancy Farris and Mary Ellen Puckett, both of York, and Diane Patterson of Clover; 24 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Anna Brantley

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Anna Gloria Bevacqua Brantley, 64, of 3844 Highway 324 died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at the home of her daughter.

The funeral was private.

Mrs. Brantley was employed as a deli clerk at Harris Teeter. She was of the Catholic faith and the widow of Bobby Theodore Brantley.

Surviving are her daughter, April Ann Brantley of Rock Hill; two brothers, Frankie Bevacqua and Micky Bevacqua, both of Highland Park, N.J.; and three sisters, Jennie Bevacqua, Jeanette Bevacqua and Mary Ann Jones, all of Florida; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Community Care, 325 S. Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Cauthen Funeral Home was in charge.

Margaret Brooker

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Margaret Weinland Brooker, 91, of 1611 Constitution Blvd. died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998, at Eden Gardens.

The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Episcopal Church of Our Savior, with the Rev. Dr. Charles Foss officiating.

Mrs. Brooker was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Columbia and attended the Episcopal Church of Our Savior. She was a graduate of Ohio State University. She was active as an adult leader in the Girl Scouts, an instructor with the Richland County Adult Literacy Council and a long-time member of the American Association of University Women. She was a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels and the Commission for the Blind. She was a voluntary organist for numerous Episcopal churches in the Columbia area. She was the widow of Wilfred Brooker Jr.

Surviving are her son, Wilfred L. "Bill" Brooker III of Rock Hill; her daughter, Barbara B. Hill of Waxahachie, Texas; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends in the parish hall after the service and at other times at the home of Bill Brooker, 1936 Greenfield Ave., Rock Hill.

Memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church of Our Savior, 144 Caldwell St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Annie Clifford

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Annie Louise "Anne" Threatt Clifford, 58, of 907 S. Stonewall St. died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Tabernacle Church of God, with the Revs. Thomas A. Little, Michael Rouse and Don McKinney officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Clifford was a retired third-grade teacher with Rock Hill schools. She taught at Northside, Sylvia Circle, Ebenezer, Sunset Park and Lesslie elementary schools. She remained active as a substitute teacher. She was a graduate of Winthrop College and member of Calvary Tabernacle Church of God.

Surviving are her husband, George William "Bill" Clifford; and two sisters, Doris Weatherford and Elaine Christopher, both of Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her niece, Crystal Martin, 2151 Gold Hill Road, Fort Mill.

Memorials may be made to the parsonage fund of Calvary Tabernacle Church of God, 550 Hollis Lakes Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730

Stephanie Doster

IRMO - Miss Stephanie Alayn Doster, 24, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1998.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Irmo. Entombment will be at Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Miss Doster was employed with Web-Don Inc. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she was a former teacher of 2-year-olds. She is a 1992 graduate of Irmo High School and attended Erskine College.

Surviving are her parents, Robert "Larry" Doster Jr. and Sandra Bailey Doster of Irmo; her sister, Lauren Doster of Irmo; her paternal grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. Robert L. Doster Sr. of Chester; and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Gregory of Chester.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Irmo.

Jo Ellis

ORANGEBURG - Mrs. Jo Howie Ellis, 65, of 1421 Sifly Road died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998, at Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at St. John's United Methodist Church in Fort Mill, with the Revs. Joe Tysinger and Ray Smith officiating. Burial will be at Unity Cemetery.

A native of Charlotte, Mrs. Ellis was educated in the Fort Mill public schools. She recently retired as attendance officer at Brookdale Middle School. She volunteered for several charities in the Orangeburg area and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and the E.S. Jones Sunday school class. She was the widow of Owen H. Ellis.

Surviving are her son, Mark Timothy Ellis of Charlotte; her sister, Brenda H. Ervin of Fort Mill; and two brothers, Billy M. Howie of Rock Hill and Michael L. Howie of Fort Mill.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Wolfe Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Gene and Brenda Ervin, 1152 Heritage Court, Fort Mill.
