Osiebe Jones

LANDO - Mrs. Osiebe Brown Belton Jones, 63, of S.C. 901 died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Big Calvary Baptist Church, with Pastor Rodney Adams officiating and the Rev. W.H. Woods Jr. assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Jones was a Chester native. She was a member of Big Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Hymn Choir, the Senior Missionaries and the Willing Workers Club. She was educated in the public schools of Chester County. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, Calvin Belton Jr. of Charlotte; five sons, Richard Belton of Charlotte, Alexander Belton of Statesville, N.C., Robert Belton of Rock Hill, Reggie Belton of Lancaster and Billy Ray Belton of Chester; six daughters, Louvenia Gaiton of Catawba, Gloria J. Ware and Priscilla Hemphill, both of Rock Hill, Susan Baxter of Charlotte and Carolyn Belton and Dorothy Elaine Belton, both of Chester; her companion, Frank "Bill" Jones of the home; five brothers, Horace Brown of Catawba, Lawrence Brown and Harold Brown, both of Rock Hill, James Hyman of Maryland, and Willie Hyman of Edgemoor; two sisters, Lula Mae Caldwell of Chester and Josie M. Hall of Rock Hill; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home of Robert and Louvenia Gaiton, 533 Will Jones Circle, Catawba.

The body may be viewed from 1 to 9 tonight at King's Funeral Home.

The body will be taken to the church at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Mary Long

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Mary N. Long, 83, of 656 Ferndale Drive died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Memorial Park, with the Rev. Dr. Tim McClendon officiating.

Mrs. Long was retired from Sears after 35 years of service in the Charlotte and Rock Hill area. She was a member of the Sears Retiree Club. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Harry L. Long Sr.

Surviving are her son, Harry L. Long Jr. of Rock Hill; her sister, Grace N. Murphy of Rock Hill; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Lewis L. Montgomery

YORK - Mr. Lewis L. Montgomery, 68, of 5346 E. Liberty Hill Road died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Barry Burleson officiating. Burial will be at Allison Creek Presbyterian Church cemetery.

Mr. Montgomery was retired from CSX Railroad in South Florida. He was a Marine veteran and served in the Korean War. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church at Lake Wylie and First Baptist Church in Davie Cooper City, Hollywood, Fla.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Phillips Montgomery; two sons, Alan L. Montgomery of Atlanta and Craig B. Montgomery of Hollywood, Fla.; his mother, Aline J. Montgomery of York; four brothers, M.C. Montgomery of Clover, Charles Montgomery, Harold Montgomery and Lavall Montgomery, all of York; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Bethel Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church building fund, 4160 Hand Mill Highway, York, SC 29745.

Martha Nance

CHESTER - Mrs. Martha Millwood Nance, 87, of 630 Pinckney Road died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at Chester County Nursing Center.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Leeds Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dale Roddey officiating. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Nance was a charter member of Parkway Baptist Church. She was retired from Springs Industries and was the widow of Ernest H. Nance.

Surviving are her son, Edward "Bud" Nance of Chester; her daughter, Ernestine Umphlett of Chester; her brother, James Millwood of Charleston; her sister, Doris Ward of Georgetown; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Leeds Baptist Church, 3231 Leeds Road, Carlisle, SC 29031.

Pat Stansell

FORT MILL - Mrs. Pat Comerford Stansell, 81, of Willowbrook Drive died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

A memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. today at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.

A native of Bessemer, Ala., Mrs. Stansell attended the University of Alabama. She was a homemaker and charter member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. She was the widow of James Edward Stansell.

Surviving are her son, James Edward Stansell Jr. of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Nancy Hall of Fort Mill and Susan Stanko of Cary, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends after the memorial service and at other times at the home.

Memorials may be made to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church building fund, 292 Munn Road, Fort Mill, SC 29715.

Wolfe Funeral Home is in charge.

J. Conrad Anderson

NORTH AUGUSTA - Mr. J. Conrad "Andy" Anderson, 64, of 1917 Bolin Road died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Rowland Funeral Home, with the Revs. Donald Lumpkin and Jerry T. Matthew officiating. Burial will be at Pineview Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Anderson was retired from the Savannah River Plant and was a drafting instructor at Aiken Tech. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice S. Anderson; two daughters, Connie Anderson Grantham of York and Marie Anderson Cusano of Spartanburg; his sister, Fay Robertson of Columbia; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Medical College of Georgia, Childrens' Medical Hospital, 1446 Harper St., Augusta, GA 30912.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Rowland Funeral Home.

Adam Boger

ROCKWELL, N.C. - Mr. Adam Lee Boger, 92, of The Meadows Retirement Center died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at the Laurels of Salisbury, N.C.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Boger United Church of Christ, with the Revs. A.W. Hedrick and Craig E. Sigmon officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mr. Boger was a farmer and also worked at Cannon Mills for six years. He was a member of Boger United Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Blackwelder Boger; three sons, Ray Boger of Mount Pleasant, N.C., Roy Boger of Rockwell, N.C., and Bobby Boger of Salisbury, N.C.; two stepsons, William Matthews of Birmingham, Ala. and Luther Matthew of Dallas; three daughters, Mildred Harrison of Lake Wales, Fla., Pearl Plott of York and Edith Moose of Rockwell, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Nora Moose of Concord, N.C., and Sarah Detric of Clearwater, Fla.; his sister, Elizabeth Underwood of Stanley, N.C.; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Summersett Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Roy Boger, 7139 Kluttz Road, Rockwell, N.C.
