John Hawkins

FORT MILL - Mr. John Thomas "J.T." Hawkins, 74, of 3130 Highway 21 died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998, at his home.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Wolfe Funeral Home.

Mr. Hawkins served in the Air Force during World War II.

Surviving are his son, John Hawkins Jr. of Waxhaw, N.C.; two daughters, Sandra Minutella of Fort Mill and Lois Scott of Rock Hill; three sisters, Lois McMehan and Myrtle Harrison, both of Fort Mill, and Mary Stoddard of Summerville; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends after the memorial service.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army Christmas Fund, 119 Charlotte Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29732.

Clarence Lingerfeldt

GASTONIA, N.C. - Mr. Clarence Hayes Lingerfeldt, 72, of 400 Lingerfeldt Drive died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Wayne Spears officiating.

A Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Lingerfeldt was a retired truck driver.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Lingerfeldt; four sons, Johnny Lingerfeldt and Wayne Lingerfeldt, both of Gastonia, Rocky Lingerfeldt of Greenville and Phillip Lingerfeldt of York; two daughters, Valerie Goble of Newton, N.C., and Donna Summey of Gastonia; six brothers, Fred Lingerfeldt, Lewis Lingerfeldt, Norman Lingerfeldt, Ralph Lingerfeldt, Neal Lingerfeldt and Laurence Lingerfeldt, all of York; two sisters, Nancy Singletary of York and Jean Hope of Sharon; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Service, Southside Chapel, and at other times at the home of Donna Summey, 504 Crowders Creek Road, Gastonia.

Paul McCullough

FORT MILL - Mr. Paul McCullough, 30, of 926 Springs St., Rock Hill, died Friday, Oct. 30, 1998.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Clemons Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mount Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving are his fiancee, Rhonda Howze; three daughters, Merissa Howze, Melissa Howze and Makayla Howze, all of Catawba; his father, Joe Lee McCullough of Rock Hill; his mother, Louise Hemphill of Rock Hill; four brothers, Joe McCullough and Nathaniel McCullough, both of Rock Hill, Alvin McCullough of Atlanta and David Perkins of Charlotte; and his sister, Margaret Russ of Tampa, Fla.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Florie Perry

GREAT FALLS - Mrs. Florie J. Perry of 5258 George Beard Ave. in the Georgetown Community died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at First Mount Zion Baptist Church, with the Rev. M. Golden, pastor, officiating and the Rev. E. Jeter delivering the eulogy. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Perry was a member of First Mount Zion Baptist Church and was the operator of Florie's Cafe in Great Falls for several years. She was the widow of Sam Perry.

Surviving are her caretaker, H.C. Wright of Great Falls; and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 tonight at Washington Funeral Home in Great Falls. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Stanley Smith

CHINA GROVE, N.C. - Mr. Stanley Bryan Smith, 34, of China Grove, formerly of Rock Hill, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998, at Lake Norman Medical Center in Mooresville, N.C.

Burial was at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Smith was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and attended Gaston College. He was a technician for Adams Electric Co.

Surviving are his son, Christopher Matthew Smith of Rock Hill; his father, Paul Stanley Smith of China Grove, N.C.; his mother, Carolyn Meredith Henderson of Knoxville, Tenn.; and his sister, Elizabeth Lee Johnson of Rock Hill.

Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in Landis, N.C., was in charge.

Julia Wilson

WYCKOFF, N.J. - Mrs. Julia Coggins Wilson, 90, of Christian Health Care Center died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Great Falls, with the Rev. Larry Roberts officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls.

Mrs. Wilson was a retired aircraft assembly line operator.

Surviving are her husband, Harry Wilson; her son, Everett Wilson of Oakland, N.J.; two daughters, Doris Fenn of West Milford, N.J., and Bobbie Jean Cannon of Vacaville, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home in Great Falls.

Jakie Blackmon

HEATH SPRINGS - Mr. Jakie Blackmon, 85, of 1908 Baskins Hill Road died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at Hartley Funeral Home, with the Revs. Wayne Dickson and Ricky Hunter officiating. Burial will be at Fork Hill Baptist Church cemetery.

Mr. Blackmon was a retired farmer and owner and operator of the International Harvester Farm Equipment dealership in Lancaster. He was a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are three sons, John M. Blackmon and Carson "Carty" Blackmon, both of Heath Springs, and Jakie B. Blackmon of Lancaster; two daughters, Jackie Lucas and Betty "Susie" McManus, both of Heath Springs; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home.
