Willie Chisolm

ROCK HILL - Mr. Willie Lee Chisolm, 64, of 513 Rauch St. Apt. D died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Fundamental Baptist Church, with the Rev. E.L. Brown officiating. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Chisolm was employed with Rock Hill Tile Co. and Bailey Tile Co. He attended the public schools of York County.

Surviving are his daughter, Diane Roddey; two brothers, James A. Chisolm and L.T. Chisolm, both of Rock Hill; six sisters, Millie M. Clark, Lizzie Shaw, Martha A. Dixon, Bernice Chisolm and Anita C. Brice, all of Rock Hill, and Bobby Jean Watkins of Charlotte; three grandchildren; and a special friend, Rosa L. Abell.

The body may be viewed from 2 to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at Parker Funeral Home.

Mary Cutts

FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. - Mrs. Mary Ellen Cutts, 82, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 1998, in Fernandina Beach.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Laurelwood Cemetery in Rock Hill.

A native of Fort Mill, Mrs. Cutts was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are her son, Randall Martin Cutts Jr. of Rock Hill; her daughter, Phyllis Cudd of Fernandina Beach; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Bass Funeral Home is in charge.

Pauline Furr

CHARLOTTE - Mrs. Pauline McCarver Furr, 70, of 8433 Hollow Glen Place, Apt. E, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Independent Bible Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jason Coley officiating and the Rev. Arnold McCarver assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Furr was a member of Independent Bible Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and and the widow of Joe Russell Furr.

Surviving are four daughters, Patricia Byrum and Linda Sue Furr, both of Charlotte, Diane Brock of Buffalo and Betty Christian of Fort Mill; two brothers, Boyce McCarver of Fort Mill and Mack McCarver of Hemby Bridge, N.C.; her sister, Betty Coley of Pineville, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Independent Bible Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Independent Bible Baptist Church building fund, 17025 Lancaster Highway, Charlotte, NC 28277.

Fort Mill Funeral Home is in charge.

Fannie Morgan

KERSHAW - Mrs. Fannie Lee Horton Morgan, 78, of Dover Lane died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998, at Fairfield County Hospital in Winnsboro.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Kershaw City Cemetery, with the Rev. Hugh McKinney officiating.

Mrs. Morgan was a member of Second Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas Nolan Morgan Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla., and John M. Morgan of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two daughters, Mina Gonzales of Lancaster and Bonnie Phillips of Kershaw; two sisters, Ottie Hunter and Anne Sue Demby, both of Kershaw; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Snooky and Bonnie Phillips, 128 Blackmon Circle, Kershaw.

Floyd Parris

GAFFNEY - Mr. Floyd Wayne Parris, 54, of 3932 Union Highway died Sunday, Oct. 4, 1998.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with Elders Herbert Bright, Lawrence Byars, Manfred Martin, Archie Fowler officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery.

Mr. Parris was owner and operator of Parris Automotive. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a veteran of the Air Force.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Helms Parris; two sons, Mark Dwayne Parris of Gaffney and Stacy Wayne Parris; two daughters, René Parris Vinesett of Gaffney and Anita Jo Parris of the home; two brothers, LeGrand R. Parris of Rock Hill and Alvin Luther Parris of Cowpens; three sisters, Joan P. Kyzer of Columbia, Imogene P. Northcutt of Harlem, Ga., and Louise P. Dunlap of Lexington; and two grandchildren.

Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home is in charge.

Mildred Williams

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Mildred Agurs Williams of 436 Williamson St. died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Church of Christ on Charlotte Avenue, with Brother Fred Turner officiating and Brother Melvin Williams assisting. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Williams was a native of York County. She was a member of Church of Christ on Crawford Road and a former member of Rock Grove AME Zion Church, where she was a missionary, a member of the usher board and the choir. She attended York County public schools.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Williams of Bronx, N.Y., and Wanda Hollingsworth of Atlanta; her brother, John D. Agurs of Catawba; two sisters, Dorothy McClure of Charlotte and Naomi Bradley of Queens, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The body may be viewed from 5 to 6 tonight at Robinson Funeral Home and from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at Church of Christ on Charlotte Avenue.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the church.

Alice Threatt

ROCK HILL - Ms. Alice Threatt, formerly of 338-A Hutchinson St., died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, at Meadow Haven Rehabilitation and Specialty Care Center.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Robinson Funeral Home.

Lorraine Turner

RIDGEWAY - Ms. Lorraine Turner, 36, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Washington Funeral Home in Great Falls.

Charlie Williams Jr.

YORK - Mr. Charlie Williams Jr., 69, of 400 Pinckney Road died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at New Home AME Zion Church, with the Rev. C.J. Jenkins officiating and the Revs. Darial Jackson, Dennis McCleave and Stephen Love assisting. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Mr. Williams joined New Home AME Zion Church at an early age and was a member of the Usher Board, the Men's Club, the Brother Hood, the Usher Interdenominational Association and the Church Treasury. He was a class leader and steward.

Surviving are his wife, Lauratia Isom Williams; two sons, Arthur A. Williams and Ronald D. Williams, both of the home; his brother, A.Z. Williams of York; five sisters, Grace Sherrill of Belmont, N.C., Elizabeth Orr of Gastonia, N.C., Guynell Williams of York, Reola Robinson of Syracuse, N.Y., and Eloise Moore of Charlotte; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home.

The body may be viewed from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home.
