John Knightner

PHILADELPHIA - Mr. John D. Knightner, 70, of 500 N. 7th St. Apt. 1913, Camden, N.J., died Monday, July 6, 1998.

Mr. Knightner is a former resident of Rock Hill.

Surviving are his daughter, Joanne Knightner of Las Vegas; and his sister, Elmira Harris of Philadelphia.

The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Robert Walker Funeral Home, 228 S. 53rd St., Philadelphia, PA 19139.

Robinson Funeral Home will handle local arrangements.

Edmund Knyfd Sr.

ROCK HILL - Mr. Edmund Knyfd Sr., 69, of 3229 Kingsfield Road died Thursday, July 9, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Unity Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jeannie Bickett officiating.

Mr. Knyfd served in the Army during World War II. He was former owner and operator of Midland Park Auto Body in Midland Park, N.J., and the owner of Oxbow Cottages in Lake Pleasant, N.Y. He was a member of the New Jersey Auto Body Association and a past president of the Lions Club in Midland Park, N.J.

Surviving are his wife, Helen Spang Knyfd; his son, Edmund Knyfd Jr. of Haledon, N.J.; his daughter, Donna K. Diedrich of Fort Mill; his brother, Arthur Knyfd Jr. of Hawthorne, N.J.; two sisters, Margaret Breen and Norma Outslay, both of Midland Park, N.J.; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Wolfe Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to United Presbyterian Church, Ministries in Motion building fund, 303 Tom Hall St., Fort Mill, SC 29715 or to Hospice Community Care, 325 S. Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29732.

Margaret Matthews

CLOVER - Miss Margaret Matthews, 71, of 402-D Willow Oaks Circle died Thursday, July 9, 1998, at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, N.C.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Generation Funeral Home.

The family will be at the home of Patricia Matthews, 114 Sunset St., Clover.

Tommy McMoore

MONTCLAIR, Calif - Mr. Tommy McMoore, 60, of 10133 Comuslas Ave., formerly of Fort Mill, died Friday, July 3, 1998.

The funeral was at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

Mr. McMoore was a former member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and attended the George Fish High School. He served 20 years in the Army.

Surviving are his wife, Wilma McMoore; his son, Willie Thompson of Charlotte; his daughter, Terry McMoore of Sumter; four sisters, Bessie Hart of Charlotte, Essie Mae Barnett of Rock Hill, Charlene McMoore of Richmond, Va., and Helen Hunt of Washington.

Robinson Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.

Ruth Miller

COLUMBIA - Mrs. Ruth Miller, 70, of the Dowdy-Gardner Nursing Care Center, formerly of York, died Friday, July 10, 1998, at Dowdy-Gardner Nursing Care Center in Columbia.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Monday at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Terrance Sadler officiating. Burial will be at Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery in York.

Surviving are her son, Robert Miller of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two sisters, Amy Stockton of Jamaica, N.Y., and Rosie Gardin of Gastonia, N.C.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The body may be viewed from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The family will be at the home of Wilson Barnette, 209 Washington St., York, and will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the funeral at the chapel.

Thompson Funeral Home of York is in charge.

Billy Angley

YORK - Mr. Billy Ray "Bill" Angley, 52, of 5225 Johnson Barn Road died Friday, July 10, 1998, in Lake Wylie.

The graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Grandview Memorial Park, with the Rev. Gardner Koch officiating.

A native of Gastonia, N.C., Mr. Angley was a retired chief petty officer with the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. Mr. Angley was a member of American Legion Post 34 in Rock Hill.

Surviving are his wife, Pat Nalley Angley of the home; two sons, Michael David Angley of McConnells and Christopher Lee Angley of Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Greene Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Todd Boyles

ANDERSON - Mr. Todd Haynie Boyles, 34, of Anderson died Friday, July 10, 1998, at Smith Road in Townville.

The graveside service will be 4 p.m. today at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. Jim Parrish officiating.

Surviving are two sisters, Jane Tapp of Fort Mill and Theresa Nation of Anderson.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 today at the McDougald Funeral Home and other times at the home of Tina Stone, 207 Holly Creek Drive.

Tiffany Faile

ROCK HILL - Tiffany Katelyn Faile, the 18-month-old daughter of Steve Rodney Bryant Jr. and Kimberly Dawn Faile of 951 Steele St., died Thursday, July 9, 1998, at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Cauthen Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Kirby officiating. Burial will be at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her brother, Christopher Faile of the home; her grandparents, Rick and Margarett Faile of Rock Hill and Junior and Henerita Catoe of Rock Hill; her grandmothers, Jeannie Nichols and Peggy Eastwood, both of Rock Hill; her great-grandparents, Sumter and Emmie Brown of Rock Hill and Bruce and Ethel Faile of Rock Hill; and her great-grandmother, Virginia Allen of McCall.

The family will receive friends at the home of Bruce and Ethel Faile, 325 Lyle St.
