Clyde Price

LANCASTER - Mr. Clyde Massey Price, 85, of 1123 4th St. died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, at Cheraw Health Center.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Lancaster Memorial Park, with the Rev. Phillip Bell officiating.

A native of York County, Mr. Price was retired from Springs Industries after 32 years of service. He attended the Church of God of Prophecy.

Surviving are his wife, Rettie Mae McManus Price; his son, Jimmy Price of Great Falls; two daughters, Kathleen Courtney and Cindy Vincent, both of Lancaster; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at home.

Cauthen Funeral Home is in charge.

Carroll Reese

LANCASTER - Mr. Carroll Huey Reese, 69, of 961 Greenoak Road died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998, at home.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Hartley Funeral Home, with the Revs. Allen Brazzell and Tommy Brazzell officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Mr. Reese was retired from the city of Columbia maintenance department as a heavy equipment worker. He attended Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are his wife, Majalene Starnes Fowler Reese; two sons, Ernest Fowler and Donald Fowler, both of Lancaster; four daughters, Joanne Smith, Marlene Stacks, Judy Hudson and Cathy Boone, all of Lancaster; his brother, Elbert Wooten of Columbia; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Hartley Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1824 Airport Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 or to Hospice Community Care, 325 S. Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Mary Lyle

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Mary Bigham Lyle, 74, of 1103 Marydale Lane died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998, at White Oak Manor.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Bass Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dave Stanford officiating.

A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Lyle was a graduate of Rock Hill High School. She worked in the office at Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Co., where she retired after 37 years. Mrs. Lyle was a member of the Rockette's Club and First Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Wade Lyle; and her brother, Sam Bigham of Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Bass Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 215 E. Main St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

CLOVER - Mr. Fred McClure, 62, of 727 Sumter Street Extension died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Wright Funeral Home.

Robert McClure (2 of 2)

CLOVER - Mr. Robert McClure, 62, of 727 Sumter St. Extension died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Gold Hill Baptist Church in York, with the Rev. George McCoy officiating and Rev. Allison assisting. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. McClure was a member of Gold Hill Baptist Church in York where he was choir marshal for the hymn choir.

Surviving are his wife, Blarinell Crosby McClure; six sons, John Lewis McClure of Gastonia, N.C., Freddie Matthews and Robert Keith McClure, both of Clover, Michael Steven McClure of Columbia, James Deron McClure of Fort Campbell, Ky., and Dwayne McClure of Rock Hill; three sisters, Annie Bell Jamison and Beatrice Stewart, both of York, and Margaret Allison of Clover; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1 p.m. today at the church.

Wright Funeral Home is in charge.

James Morgan

FORT MILL - Mr. James William Morgan, 76, of 2760 Woodridge Drive died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998, at Lake View Living in Pineville, N.C.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Unity Presbyterian Church, with the Revs. Dan Holloway and Jannie Bickett officiating. Burial will be later at Monongahela, Pa.

Mr. Morgan was retired from Union Railroad and was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church. He was a native of Allegheny County, Pa.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret Miller Morgan; his son, Roy Morgan of Pittsburgh; his daughter, Barbara Scheuermann of Bagley, Iowa; his sister, Elda Sichitano of Lakeland, Fla.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made United Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1267, Fort Mill, SC 29715.

Wolfe Funeral Home is in charge.

Pauline Richards

LANCASTER - Mrs. Pauline Seabrook Richards, 100, of 311 Moore St. died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church, with the Revs. Sam Thomas and Ernie Thompson officiating.

Mrs. Richards was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was the widow of Percy Gibbes Richards.

Surviving are two daughters, Marion Neely of Lancaster and Phoebe Fitzgerald of Fayetteville, N.C.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the graveside after the service.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

ROCK HILL - Mr. William Jennings Scoggins, 90, of 1915 Ebenezer Road died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998, at White Oak Manor.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Bass Funeral Home.

Randel Sims

LANCASTER - Mr. Randel Neal "Randy" Sims, 44, of 3093 Flat Creek Road died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Antioch Baptist Church, with the Rev. Alphues Evans officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A Lancaster native, Mr. Sims was employed at Food Lion. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, a captain of the Antioch Volunteer Fire Department, was a member and past master of the Antioch Masonic Lodge No. 399, a member and past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 291 and a member of the Hejaz Shrine Temple.

Surviving are his wife, Melba Lucas Sims; two sons, Neal Sims and John Thomas Sims, both of Lancaster; his daughter, Bridget E. Sims of Lancaster; his brother, Dennis Sims of Salisbury, N.C.; and his sister, Laura Taylor of Lancaster.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Jeremy and Laura Sims, 3002 Taxahaw Road, Lancaster.

Memorials may be made to Antioch Volunteer Fire Department, 3015 Taxahaw Road, Lancaster SC 29720 or Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, P.O. Box 667, Mauldin, SC 29662.
