REV. CURTIS JAMES SMITH
Rev. Curtis James Smith age 70 of Maryville passed away July 18, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Korea. He was a Full Gospel Minister for 23 years.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years: Wilma Smith. Sons and Daughters In law: Kenneth (Carolyn) Smith, Randy (Guinn) Smith, and Wayne (Karen) Smith, all of Maryville. Shawn Smith of Soddy Daisey. Daughters and Sons In Law: Sharon (Dale) McMurry, and Ashley Smith of Soddy Daisey, two brothers, 13 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Sunday, July 20, 2003 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at the Tennessee Veterans cemetery in Knoxville for a Graveside service Monday, July 21, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Ronald Morton officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Tennessee State Honor Veterans Guard.
KOONTZ, GENEVIEVE F. (HABERKORN), 84, Fort Wayne, Ind., died Thursday, July 14, 2003, at home.
Survivors: husband, Ralph Koontz; daughter, Beth K. Sebastian of Chattanooga; son, Stephen Hoberkorn of Holland, Miss.; stepdaughter, Lynn Gardner of Plant City, Fla.
Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church McMillan Chapel, 300 W. Wayne St., Fort Wayne, Ind., with calling one hour prior.
JOSEPHINE BREWER
Josephine Brewer, age 84, of Maryville, died Thursday, July 17, 2003 at Maryville Healthcare Center. She attended First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Canna A. Brewer; mother, Lena Mary Magdalene Alloway; father, Bruce Forrester Alloway; brother, William Alloway; son, Noah Huff; daughter, Mary Oshel; grandson, Bruce Huff of Ohio.
Survivors include: sons, George Huff of Ohio and James Matthews Sr. of Knoxville; daughters, Ella Brewer of Maryville and Verna Parsons of Ohio; brother, Bruce Alloway of Ohio; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 7 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2003 at Smith Mortuary with Chaplain Thomas Koehl officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m., Monday, July 21, 2003 at Grandview Cemetery. FLORA MAE DAVIS
Flora Mae Davis, age 91, of Norris, passed away Monday, July 14, 2003 at the Windwood Health Care Center. She was born July 18, 1911 in Roane County, in the Wheat community. She was a member of Broadway Methodist Church in Maryville.
Preceded in death by husband, Earl W. Davis; parents, Charles and Virginia Shannon Miller; grandson, Kent Williams; brother, Maynard Miller; sisters, Mildred Smith, Violet Smith and Nan Miller.
Survivors: daughter, Sandra D. Williams and husband, Julian of Norris; grandsons, Brant Williams and wife, Angela of Kingston and Josh Williams of Norris; great-grandsons, Aaron and Brandon Cutshaw of Kingston; sister-in-law, Kathleen Davis of Maryville; niece, Patricia Blankenship of Maryville; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 21, 2003 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Maryville with Rev. Clay Mulford officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
ELIZABETH JANE PANNELL
Elizabeth Jane Pannell, age 79, of Maryville passed away Thursday evening, July 17, 2003 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. preceded in death by husband, Ben Pannell.
Survivors: several nieces and nephews; half-sisters, Ruby Murphy, Helen Murphy, Ellen Blair, Catherine Hill all of Maryville; half-brothers, Billy Turpin, Raymond Turpin both of Maryville; Larry Dean Turpin.
Family and friends will meet at Mt. Zion Cemetery, (Longhollow Community) at 3 p.m., Sunday afternoon July 20, 2003 for graveside service and interment. Rev. Billy R. Carrigan officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday in the Magnolia Chapel of Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
DALE ALLEN CONDEE
Dale Allen Condee, age 41, Sweetwater, TN, died Sunday, July 13, 2003 at Sweetwater. He was a native of Dayton, Ohio, and currently a resident of Sweetwater. He was an employee of Waupaca Foundry in Etowah. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Goodsprings Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by: grandparents, Rev. E.M. and Virginia Sherwood; and grandparents, Charles and Louise Condee.
Survivors: wife, Joey Condee, Sweetwater, TN; 2 children, Joshua Dustin Condee, Sarabeth Jenay Condee; 2 stepchildren, Amanda Porter and Brandon Porter; parents, Charles Ernest and Wilma Sherwood Condee, Maryville, TN; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Dan Martin, Athens, TN; 1 brother, Kevin Condee, Maryville, TN; 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2003 at Goodsprings Baptist Church. Rev. Pat McCulley will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Goodsprings Baptist Church Cemetery. Bordwine Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Colene Farmer, age 66 of Knoxville passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Member of Grace Community Church.
Preceded in death by brother, John D. Floyd; 'IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR PRECIOUS WIFE, MOTHER & GRANDMOTHER'.

ZENITH R. PRICE
Zenith R. Price, age 57 of Friendsville died Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Fort Sanders Loudon Medical Center. He retired from the United States Marine Corp after 21 years of service and was decorated with the Purple Heart and 2 Bronze Stars.
Preceded in death by: parents, Virgil and Mae Price; brother, Sheridan "Buddy" Price; baby sister, Philia Veralee Price.

RUTH E. REIMOLD
Ruth E. Reimold, age 89 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. She was a member of Red Lion Bible Church in Red Lion, PA and was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Reimold; and parents, George and Elnora Hoffmaster Criswell.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth E. and Richard A. Haberstroh of Maryville; granddaughter, Renee' L. Ghilani of Venetia, PA; great-grandsons, Ryan D. Ghilani, Richard A. Ghilani and David P. Ghilani; great-granddaughter, Kelly Marie Ghilani.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at Burg Funeral Home in Red Lion, PA. The interment service followed in Mt. Rose cemetery in York, PA.
Memorial contributions may be offered to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 860 Louisville Road, Alcoa, TN 37701.

GRACE CAMPBELL WATKINS
Grace Campbell Watkins, age 87 of Maryville died Thursday, July 17, 2003 at Fairpark Nursing Center. She worked many years as a secretary and bookkeeper in the Knoxville area.
Preceded in death by: husband, J.L. Watkins.
Survivors include: sister, Alma Campbell of Luttrell, TN; cousin, Shelby Dyer of Knoxville.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2003 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary. LUCY ALLISON EVANS
Lucy Allison Evans, Alcoa, age 83, widow of William 'Bill' Evans, passed to Jesus in Heaven July 15 at Blount Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse W. and Ella Humphrey Allison; sister, Virginia; and brother, Robert Allison.
She is survived by daughters, Mary Ann Evans and Martha Evans Lee of Alcoa; grandchildren, Drew and David Lackey of Ft. Worth, TX, Caroline Lackey of Oak Ridge, Jennifer Lee Hart of Oliver Springs, Capt. Tony Lee of USA Airforce Base Soto Cano, Honduras, Central America; great-grandsons, Sean Lackey of San Antonio, TX, Joshua Lackey of Aspen, CO, Jackson Hart of Oliver Springs.
She was a member of Alcoa 1st Methodist Church.
The body was cremated and a Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
