JAMES KIMSEY HYATT
James Kimsey Hyatt, age 77 of Maryville died Thursday, July 24, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert C. and Laura E. Hyatt; sister, Bobbie Davis; brother, Gordon Hyatt; step-granddaughter, Abigail Dixon.
He is survived by his wife of 53 Years, Carmeta Hyatt; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne K. and Betsey Hyatt; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Lloyd Dixon, Debbie Hyatt and partner Donna Holder; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Clyde Henry; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Mary Alice Hyatt; granddaughters, Misty Dixon, and Stephanie Mitchell; three step-granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; step-granddaughters, Rebecca Dell, and Amanda Dixon.
Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Rev. Monte Stephens and Rev. Dee Hubbard officiating. The family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum for an Entombment Service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

PATRICK E. QUINN
Patrick E. Quinn, age 55 of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at U. T. Medical Center. He was a member of the Cedar Bluff Racquet Club and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force having served in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty Quinn.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl C. Quinn; son, William Paul Quinn; daughter, Jessica Nicole Quinn all of Louisville; brother, Michael Quinn of Huntersville, NC; sisters, Kathy Dawson of Washington State and Marie Hinson of Charlotte, NC.
The body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Yates officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, East Tennessee Region, 4708 Papermill Drive, Knoxville, TN 37909 or to the American Cancer Society, c/o Jill B. Rollins, 2330 Chesterfield Dr., Maryville, TN 37803.

ANNA RUTH GRAVES BORING
Anna Ruth Graves Boring age 81 of Alcoa, passed away Monday, July 21, 2003, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alcoa, preceded in death by husband, Ray C. Boring; parents, Luther and Bell Yearout Graves; infant daughter, Marsha Gail Boring; sisters, Louise Thomas, Helen Jackson, Reba Martin; and brother, Kenneth Graves.
Survivors include, daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Bill Kennedy of Alcoa, Brenda and Jess Elizondo of Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Vicky Boring, Ronald Ray and Mary Boring all of Maryville; grandchildren, Alyson Kennedy, Adam Kennedy, Michael Elizondo, Robin Elizondo Lathrop, Angela, Sonya, Ronald Ray Jr. "Chip" and wife, Beth Boring, Angie Boring and Sam Boring; several great-grandchildren; special sisters, Juanita Graves, Pauline Woods, Laquita Graves and Minna Sue Jackson all of Maryville; brothers, James L. Graves of California and Rex Graves of Maryville; special daughter-in-law, Joyce Boring; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carl and Iva Lee Boring; several nieces and nephews and many wonderful neighbors and friends.
Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2003, at Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Danny Davis officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Church cemetery for the interment service. Family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

BRENDA KAY DAILEY BORING
Brenda Kay Dailey Boring, age 51 of Maryville passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 22, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Kindergarten teacher in the Blount Co. School System for 28 years.
Preceded in death by father, Dee Dailey; brother, Claude Dailey; sisters, Fay Davis, Dora Gilbert.
SURVIVORS: daughters, Amanda D. Boring, Amber R. Boring both of Maryville; step-daughter, Debbie Chester of Maryville; step-grandchildren, J. J. Chester, Tiffany Chester; mother, Theda Broome Dailey of Maryville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Ruth Dailey of Maryville, Freddie and Janis Dailey of Maryville, Allen and Karen Dailey of Maryville; sister, Donna Dailey West of Maryville; brothers-in-law, John Davis of Lenoir City, Jimmy Gilbert of Ga.; several cousins; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Tom Wiggins of S.C.
Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2003 Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Tim Martin officiating. Interment 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Union Grove Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

BARBARA ANN BREWER
Barbara Ann Brewer, age 63 of Maryville passed away Wednesday morning, July 23, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Member of Rockford Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by husband, Frank W. Brewer; father, Andrew M. Whitener; mother, Viola Kirkland; half-sister, Margaret Ann Kirkland.
SURVIVORS: brother, Bobby Gene Whitener of Madisonville; half-sisters and spouse, Mary M. and John Cummings of Rockford, Judy McFalls of N.C., Cathy Frye, Patricia Curry both of S.C.; half-brothers and spouses, Mack and Sherry Kirkland of Rockford, James and Teresa Kirkland of Oak Ridge, Marcus Whitener, Allen Whitener, David Whitener all of S.C.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2003 Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Jackie Midkiff officiating. Family and friends will meet at Williamson Chapel cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

MARGIE ODELL GIBSON
Margie Odell Gibson, age 72 of Maryville went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at her home. She was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by: father, W.H. Pope; mother, Margie Cope Pope; sister, Katheleen Pope Meredith; brothers, William Henry Pope, Leroy Pope, Jack Pope, Frank Pope, and Floyd Pope.
Survivors include: husband, Willie Gibson; son, Steven Duane Gibson of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Reed Lutz of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Heather, and Ryan Lutz, Stephanie and Jamie Gibson.
Family and friends will assemble at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2003 at Grandview cemetery for the graveside service and interment with Rev. Howard Olive officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 o.m., Friday, July 25, 2003, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000.

CAROL A. MOULTON
Carol A. Moulton, age 63 of Alcoa died Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was a member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church and worked for the University of Tennessee Chemistry Department.
Preceded in death by: parents, Clara and Ted Dorris; brother, Louie Dorris.
Survivors include: son, Johnny H. Moulton of Maryville; daughter, Cynthia Perrine of Alcoa; grandson, Howard Moulton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted and Margie Dorris of FL, Mark and Susan Dorris of St. Louis, MO and Carl and Shelly Dorris of St. Louis, MO.
Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2003 at Smith Mortuary. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2003 at Grandview cemetery for the interment. Family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2003, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000.

RIVERA, FRANCISCA, 58, Wildwood, died Sunday, July 20, 2003, at Asbury Acres Healthcare Center.
Survivors include sons, Lucas Betancourt and Raymond Torres, both of Waterbury, Conn., Hayward Jones of Massachusetts; daughters, Petra Urban of Wildwood, Migdalia and Brenda Betancourt, both of Bridgeport, Conn., Clara Betancourt of Waterbury; 19 grandchildren; brothers, Thomas, Raymond, and Pura Gonzales, all of Columbus, Ga.; sisters, Maria Gonzales of Columbus, and Martha Rivera of Waterbury.
Rivera was cremated and no services are planned at this time. Arrangements by Dotson Funeral Home.

JAMES C. GLASCOCK
The funeral for James C. Glascock, 88, 835 West Broadway, Maryville, TN, and formerly of Massena, NY, with summer residence in Morristown, NY, will be Thursday morning at 11:00 at the Grace Episcopal Church in Canton, NY. Reverend Curtis S. Denney, retired Rector, will be officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery in Canton.
Mr. Glascock died Saturday evening at Asbury Acres Nursing Residence in Maryville, TN.
Calling hours will be Wednesday afternoon and evening from 4-8 at the summer residence of his wife's nephew, Russell B. Lawrence III, 301 Riverview Street, Morristown.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth L., Maryville, TN; two sons, William L. and his wife Ellen, Shrewsbury, Mass., and Benjamin L. and his wife Angela, Maryville, TN; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
Predeceasing Mr. Glascock are two sisters, Nancy Beth Gerkins Miller and Jane Edris.
Born May 2, 1915, in Corpus Christi, Texas, he was the son of Dr. Ben L. and Nannie Lea Caldwell Glascock.
The family moved to Maryville, TN, and he graduated from Maryville High School as Valedictorian of the Class of 1932. In 1936, he graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a full four-year scholarship and was elected to Sigma Xi Scientific Honorary in 1936.
On December 27, 1941, he married Ruth Josephine Lawrence at the Grace Episcopal Church in Canton.
In 1936, he went to work in Massena at the Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA), where he worked until 1953, when he was then transferred to the Davenport, Iowa plant. In 1959, Mr. Glascock was transferred to the corporate office in Pittsburgh, Pa., where he remained until his retirement in 1978 as Chief Mechanical Engineer. After retirement, Mr. Glascock was retained by ALCOA to do consulting work.
In the mid-1970s the couple built a home on the St. Lawrence River in Morristown and then a home in Sun City, Arizona. For many years the couple spent winters in Arizona, until recently selling their Arizona home and moving back to Maryville, TN.
Mr. Glascock was a registered Professional Engineer in New York State, Pennsylvania, Iowa, and Texas.
As a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, he was instrumental as chairman of the committee to obtain the designation of the Mt. Washington Cable Car in Pittsburgh, Pa., to be listed in the National History and Landmarks Registry. The car still runs daily in Pittsburgh, known as the 'Incline.'
An avid tool collector, Mr. Glascock was a member of the Mid-West Tool Collectors Association. He was also a member of the Ogdensburg Rotary Club, the Early American Industries Association, the Green Meadow Country Club and a Life Member of the Masonic Lodge Free and Accepted Masons.
Mr. Glascock was also a shooting enthusiast and was very proficient at shooting skeet, target shooting with handguns and rifles, and bird/deer hunting. He was a former member of the Stillwater Hunting Club.

LOUCASTER STROUD TATE
Loucaster Stroud Tate, age 92 of Maryville passed away Sunday evening, July 20, 2003, t Maryville Health Care Center. Member of Four Mile Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by parents, Robert Allen and Sallie Allison Anderson; first husband, Van Stroud; second husband, Earl Tate; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Frances Stroud; grandson, Timothy Stroud.
Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Austin Payne of Maryville; sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Juanita Stroud of Georgetown, Ky., Troy and Rosemary Stroud of Birmingham, Ala.; grandchildren, Judy Eisenhower of Pensacola, Fla., Danny, Robert, Terry Boone all of Maryville, Diane Hall of Georgetown, Ky., Charles Stroud of Maryville, Michael Presley of Knoxville, Matt Stroud of Birmingham, Ala.; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Fred Anderson of Maryville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2003, Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. James Wells, Rev. Alvin Patton, Mr. Ben Dalton officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning at Four Mile Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
