BEVERLY ANN OSTHEIMER
Beverly Ann Ostheimer, age 50 of Maryville passed away Sunday, March 2, 2003 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Knoxville after a courageous 10 year battle with breast cancer.
Preceded in death by parents, Earnest and Bernice Kallison; and brother, Ken Kallison.
Survivors include loving husband, Mark Ostheimer; brothers, Ron, Stan, Don and Wayne Kallison all of New York; sister, Barbara Wright of New York and several nieces and nephews. Beverly was cremated and a gathering of friends for the celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
STELLA EVELYN TILLEY
Stella Evelyn Tilley, age 81 of Alcoa, departed this life Saturday, March 1, 2003 at the family home.
Preceded in death by husband, Lee W. Tilley; daughter, Barbara (Bobbie) Holden; parents, Ollie and Lydia Gibson; and brother, Gene Gibson.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Lee (Frankie) and Margaret Tilley of Greenback; daughter and son-in-law, Linda (Tillie) and Carl Thompson of Alcoa; son-in-law, James (Jim) Holden of Maryville; grandchildren, Lee Tilley Jr., Lisa Tilley Hord, Angela Holden Martin, Tamara Holden, Millie Thompson Hubbs and Tonya Thompson Godfrey; great grandchildren, Dustin Tilley, Lexie Hord, Cody Holden, Dylan Martin, Taylor Hubbs, Zachary Hubbs and Kaile Godfrey; brothers, Ernest Gibson, Crowder Gibson and Freddie Gibson; sisters, Ann Blair and Juanita Plemons; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Mike McClurg, Rev. Ronald Morton and Rev. J.D. Nuchols officiating. KATHLEEN EDWARDS
Kathleen Edwards, age 83 of Maryville died Thursday, February 27, 2003 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Pecks Memorial Methodist Church; member of the United Methodist Women's Association; a Veteran of the United States Navy; graduated from Maryville College; received a Masters Degree from Peabody College; teacher for 37 years and retired from the Blount County School System. She was very active in her church where she taught Sunday School classes and served as librarian. preceded in death by: Husband Milton C. Edwards; Parents, H.P. Rainwater Sr. and Ada Ivey Rainwater; Sister, Dorothy J. Pennington; Brothers, Toddy Rainwater and H.P. Rainwater, Jr.
Survivors include: Sister and Brother-in-law, Faye & Ray Harper of Nashville; Sister-in-law, Louise Rainwater; Nine Nieces and nephews and several greats.
Funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2003 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. John Thierbach and Randy Rainwater officiating. Interment will follow the service at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Peck's Memorial United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Retired Teacher's Scholarship Fund. CAROLE ANN LAMBERT
Carole Ann Lambert, age 59 of Maryville, TN, passed away Friday, February 28, 2003, at St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Knoxville, TN. She was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church and was a real estate broker with Nelson Realtors. She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Shouse.
Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffery Louis and Erin Elizabeth Lambert of Maryville, Clay Wiley Jr., and Barbara Carol Lambert of Locust Grove, GA; grandchildren, Zane Louis Lambert, Clay Wiley Lambert, III, Daniel Trellis Lambert; mother, Floydell Shouse of Dalton, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Dave Kennedy of Dalton, GA; niece, Krista Kennedy Leonard of Dalton, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Glenn Cummings officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Whitfield Memorial Gardens in Dalton, GA for the interment service.

JAMES MARVIN RUSSELL
James Marvin Russell, 82, of Homestead Florida, formerly of Maryville, Tenn., died Feb. 24, 2003, at his home in Florida. No services are planned. Mr. Russell was born and raised in Maryville. He had resided in Homestead for the past 15-20 years. He was a disabled veteran having served in the U.S. Army prior to World War II. He was preceded in death by his father, James Russell, and mother, Elizabeth, sister, Bernice Russell Farmer all of Maryville.
He is survived by his sister, Lorraine Queen and husband Quindell; nephew James Donald Queen and wife, Judith, and their sons, Russell and Jamie Queen all of Kenai, Alaska. He is also survived by his niece Cathy Farmer Waitinas and husband Jerry, daughter, Ashley Farmer, and stepdaughters, Rachel and Jackie Waitinas all of Oliver Springs, Tenn.
Arrangements were made through Peninsula Memorial Chapel of Kenai, Alaska.

Mabel Geneva Borden age 81 of Maryville, passed away Friday morning, August 8, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Preceded in death by husband, Ray Borden; son, Franklin Ray Borden; parents, John and Ada Price and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include children, Maxine Martin, Eddie Borden and Larry Borden all of Maryville; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet at 12 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2003 at Byrd's Chapel cemetery in Knoxville for graveside service and interment, Rev. Charlie Carpenter officiating. E.C. (Bo) Smith, age 98, passed away on Aug. 7, 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents: Mother, Laura Hickman and Father, John Smith; Brother, Bill Smith; Sisters, Clemmie Carroll and Genoba Hooper; Grandson, Michael Clay Smith; Great-grandson, Michael Clay Smith, Jr.; Son-in-law, J.P. Johnson.
Survived by, wife of 74 years, Mildred Smith; Sons and Daughters-in-law, Johnnie and Betty Smith of Maryville, Jack and Hazel Smith of Knoxville; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Bonnie and Wayne Hubbs of Maryville, Frances and Tom Moore of Knoxville, Mary Lou Johnson of Maryville and Sandy Smith of Maryville; 13 Grandchildren, 27 Great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren.
He retired after 38 years of service to American Agrico Chemical Company. The family would like to thank Fairpark Health Care Staff for all their kindness shown to our family.

KELLEY, MARCE EDWARD, AND JUNE KELLEY, 73 and 74, both of Maryville, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003 at the family home. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Miller Funeral Home.

Wanda L. Chasteen, age 69, of Friendsville, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Preceded in death by father, Chester Michaels; mother and step-father, Aster and Holbert Bowerman; brothers, James Arthur Michaels and William "Red" Michaels and sister, Mary E. Newman.
Survivors include husband, James Chasteen Sr.; step son, James Chasteen Jr. of Maryville; step grandson, Corey Chasteen; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Betty Michaels of Friendsville; sister-in-law, Betty J. Michaels of Maryville; special nephews, Robert Newman and Cato Newman both of Friendsville; several other nephews and nieces.

Sadie Leona Davis age 89 of Maryville, passed away Sunday morning, August 3, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church and preceded in death by husband, Murrell Davis; parents, S.P. and Celia Graves; brothers, Roy, Charles and Will Graves; sisters, Tisha McGill, Mae Hannah, Martha Latham, Ethel Denham and Lois Parker.
Survivors include son and daughter in law, Jerry and Carolyn Davis of Seymour; daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and Willie Welch of Maryville; grandsons, Tony Hurst, Michael Davis and Mark Davis; granddaughters, Dorand and husband, Robin England, Gwendolyn and husband, Jason Smith and Diane Parks; step-grandchildren, Rex Welch, Joann Bedford and Dwyane Wilson; 11 great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; very special friend, Lucille Loveday of Seymour and several nieces and nephews.

Shirley Miller Cantrell, age 61, of Maryville, died Saturday, August 2, 2003 at the family home.
Preceded in death by husband, Alva D. Cantrell; brothers, Earl and Jay Miller; and mother, Mary McGhee. Survivors include: Son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Leigh Bottenfield of North Carolina. Gerald C. Tipton, age 70, of Maryville passed away Saturday, August 2, 2003 at Maryville Healthcare. Member of Piney Level Missionary Baptist Church and a former deacon of the church. Veteran of U.S. Army. A former car dealer in the Maryville area for many years. A Devoted Christian, husband and father.
Preceded in death by: parents, Sam and Sallie Tipton; brothers, Henry, Wiley, Clifford, and Arlie Tipton; sisters; Nancy Wright and Neller Tipton.
