George Taunton, age 93 of Maryville, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2003, at the Blount Memorial Hospital. Member of The Church of Christ.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Gale and B.A. Maner of Maryville; grandchildren, Leigh Ann Sparks, Richard S. and Craig B. Maner; great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Rachel, John Michael, and Caroline Sparks, Sarah, Stephanie, Joshua, Emily, Kirstie, Victoria and Andrew Maner.
Family and friends will meet 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston for a 3 p.m. graveside at the Kingston Memorial Gardens, Danny Nunn and Mike Brumley officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Steppingstones Preschool Maryville Church of Christ.
ROBERT N. WHITAKER SR.
Robert N. Whitaker Sr., age 86 of Alcoa, passed away Monday, January 6, 2003, at ParkWest Medical Center. He was a member of Armona Baptist Church, was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army and was retired from American Airlines after 33 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith M. Huff Whitaker; parents, Edgar and Mary Moreland Whitaker; sisters, Augusta Barber, Frances Kinkaid and Imogene Argenbright; brothers, Harold, George and Carter Whitaker.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Lequita Ann and Leonard Gonsalves; son, Robert Neil Whitaker, Jr.; granddaughters, Jeana Gonsalves, Christina Gonsalves, Shana Gonsalves, Paige Durden Klingler; grandson, Daniel Robert Gonsalves; great granddaughter, Jessica Klingler; sister, Alma Henry of Lenoir City; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Lawson officiating. The interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.

LARNAITIS, ANTHONY, 'TONY, ' 72, Maryville, died Sunday, Jan. 5, at his home.
Survivors include: wife, Jean Larnaitis; daughter, Rita Larnaitis of New York; son, Paul Larnaitis of New York; one grandson.
Funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m.. Wednesday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. The interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
JANET DELORES DAVIS
Janet Delores Davis, age 67 of Maryville Tennessee died Saturday January 4th 2003 at Baptist Hospital in Knoxville. She is preceded in death by sisters Nadia Duchane, and Marjorie Hurley.
Survivors include husband Glenn Davis, daughter and son-in-law Glenda and Bob Skurda of Louisville, son and daughter-in-law Danny and Karen Davis of Michigan. Grandchildren Brent, Courtney, and Lindsay, brothers and sisters in laws Leslie and Patricia Catlin of Warren Michigan, Jerry and Shirley Catlin of Michigan, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel. The interment will be in Bethel cemetery in Townsend. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society..

Daisy Ethel Gumm, age 89 of Maryville went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 4, 2003 at Fairpark Healthcare Center. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. preceded in death by: Husbands, Luther Hunter, Thurman Wilson, and Robert Leroy Gumm; Brothers, Andy, Joe, Randolph, Glen, Clyde and Robert Hafley; Sisters, Georgie Garner and Minnie Brock; and Granddaughter, Linda Jaynelle Hunter;
Survivors include: Son and Daughter-in-law, John Luther & Gaynelle Hunter of Maryville; Grandchildren, Brent Hunter and wife, Michele and Angela Lemanski and husband, Bruce, all of Maryville; Great Grandchildren, Johnny Hunter of South Carolina, Addie Langford of Maryville and Erin and Cindy Fagg; Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2003 at 8:00 PM in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Pastor Larry Bradley officiating. Evelyn Holt, age 64 of Maryville died Friday, January 3, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. preceded in death by parents, George and Geneva Holt.
Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Marie Ward of Alcoa, Jeff and Marcy Ward of Maryville and Michael and Gina Ward of Germantown, OH; grandsons, Matthew, Brian and Chris Ward; granddaughters, Stacy, Danielle, Kaitlynd, Cinda and Megan Ward; brother, G.V. Holt of Boise, ID; sisters, Gloria Knowles of Kimberly, ID, Lovet Barrett of Twin Falls, ID, Evalena Baney of Laurel, MT and Jeanne Bardsley of North Fork, ID.
Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 6, 2003 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Scottie Burkhalter officiating. A reception will be held after the service for family and friends at the church. This spring, her ashes will be lovingly dispersed beneath the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. JAMES HAROLD HOUSEHOLDER
James Harold Householder, age 82, of Maryville, died Saturday, January 4, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Mr. Householder was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII and was the owner and operator of Foy's Roofing Company of Maryville for many years. He was a member of Knob Creek Baptist Church, Sevier Co., and was preceded in death by his parents, W.O. and Ina T. Householder; brothers, Earl, Leland, Edgar, and Billie Joe Householder; sisters, Lena Flatford and Faye Ott.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mildred Householder; sisters, Marjorie Brewer and Lois Hickman; sister-in-laws, Helen, Neva, and Dottie Householder; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be held on Monday at 2 :00 p.m. in the Knob Creek cemetery with Rev. W.A. Galyon officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Smith Mortuary Inc..
ROEBERTA A. MCGILL
Roeberta A. McGill died January 2, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Charles McGill.
She is survived by daughters, Mary Moyers of Maryville, and Bobbie Stinnett Roger of Louisville; grandchildren, Terri and (Mike) Shamblin, Tonya (Ryan) Stansbury, Cindy (Ron) Reno, Teanna (Mitch) Geary, Jessica (Tim) Hicks, Tammi Moyers Roger Lee Stinnett; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Reno, Charles Michael Stansbury, Ashleigh and Jazmine Geary, Tyler and Andrew Hicks; special friends, Bill Moyers and Justin Loftis, John Purk, Richard and J.J. Dirksen.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 5, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. with the funeral service to be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Foothills Funeral Home, Maryville. Entombment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Alcoa.

Donald Ray Roberts 66 of Maryville died Saturday January 4, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his Sons & Daughters in law: James & Vicky Roberts of Greenback, Ronnie & Ann Roberts of Maryville, Four Grandsons, One Granddaughter, Two Great Granddaughters, Best friend: Mary McBath, Brothers & Sisters: Gladys Purcell, Kathy Russell both of Loan Oak, TX, Shirley Shannon of Knoxville, Sue Shoffner, Evelyn McKee, Linda Bradburn, Ralph Roberts all of Maryville, Gary Roberts of Atlanta, GA.
Mr. Roberts' wishes were for his family and friends to hold a graveside service only. Graveside Funeral Services will be at 12:00 Noon Monday January 6, 2002 at Forest Hill cemetery With Rev. Floyd Lambert officiating. Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville is in charge of arrangements.

Emmanuel Lynn Lowery, infant son of Jeffery Lynn Lowery and Heather Leigh Thompson of Maryville, died Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Ctr.
Other survivors include brother, Caleb Spencer Lowery; sister, Kinzie Taylor Lowery, and other loving relatives.

Jessie Edna Miles, age 88, of Greenback, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 2, 2003 at Sweetwater Hospital. She was a member of Allegheny Missionary Baptist Church. preceded in death by infant daughter, Joann Miles; parents, Floyd and Maude Alice Ditmore; sisters, Pearl Poore, Eula Jones.
Survivors, son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Della Miles, Etowah; grandson, Justin Miles, Etowah; sisters, Nina Jones, Maryville, Nora Jenkins, Kokomo, Indiana; brothers, Henry Ditmore, Roy Ditmore, both of Maryville, Jack Ditmore, Kokomo, Indiana; several nieces and nephews.

Victor Washington Ramsey, age 89 of Greenback, passed away Friday morning January 3, 2003 at Sweetwater Hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. preceded in death by parents, several brothers and sisters, granddaughter, Teresa Dawn Ramsey.
Survivors: wife, Zola Mae Ramsey; daughters, Edith Sigman of N.C., Joyce Ruff of N.C.; sons, Charles Ramsey of Greenback, Lee R. Ramsey of Maryville, Wayne Ramsey of Greenback; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; brother, Creed Ramsey of Lenoir City; sister, Pearlie Miller of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews.

Rose Marie Robbins, age 65 of Maryville passed away suddenly January 2, 2002 at the family home. She was an active member of Six Mile Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for the 10 & 11 year old children. She was the church organist for the past 15 years. preceded in death by: Parents, Bill & Mary Losey: Brothers, Charlie, Lee, and Dave Losey.
Survivors include: Husband, Billy Robbins; Sons and Daughters-in-law, Tim and Billie Jo Robbins, Todd and Kelly Robbins; Grandchildren, Brian, Katie and Nathan Robbins all of Maryville.
