JOSIE BELLE ABBOTT SEATON
Josie Belle Abbott Seaton, age 85, a devoted mother, died Saturday, January 18, 2003 at 5:15 p.m. at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a long-time resident of the six mile community and a member of Six Mile Baptist Church. She was born August 14, 1917 to the late William "Will" and Mary Abbott; also preceded in death by husband, Ellis Ray Seaton; infant daughter, Geraldine Seaton; grandson, Billy Ray Reynolds; and great-granddaughter, Heather Marie Carney. Survivors include sons and daughters, Don and Edith Seaton of Maryville, Lloyd and Barbara Seaton of Nashville, Carolyn and Jay Reynolds of Maryville, Glendora Rhyne of Maryville, Leslie and the late Richard Caylor of Tailbott, Rex and Ann Seaton of Louisville, Dallas Ray Seaton of Louisville; 22 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren; longtime friends, Dortha Yearout and Margaret. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2003 at Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jim Harless officiating. Interment 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Old Piney Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

NANCY L. TYSON
Nancy L. Tyson was born on February 18, 1947 in Knoxville, TN and departed this life on January 16, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was formally educated at Booker T. Washington Elementary, Charles M. Hall High School, A&I State University and the University of Tennessee where she made many dear friends. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Zion Church in Rockford, TN. She was a Member of the Lay Council, Vice President of Mildred P. Wallace Missionary Society, Chancel Choir, Inspirational Choir, and a Deaconess. She thoroughly loved her church family.
Preceded in death by parents James Sr. and Ernestine Lindsey, grandparents, Johnny and Clara Jones, Rev. H. W. Lindsey and Pearl Lindsey; sister, Carolyn L. Mitchell.
She is survived by husband, Arthur T. Tyson, Sr.; children, Arthur Jr. and special friend Sandra Jones, Teresa, Kristi, Kimberly, Michael, and James; brother, James Lindsey Jr.; aunt, Mary Ruth (Harry) King; beloved former sister-in-law, Donna Lindsey and brother-in-law Willie Mitchell; 10 grandchildren; a host of in-laws; nieces and nephews; several relatives and dear friends. Many extended children and special friends, Libby Wallace, Gene Wallace, Dorothy Love and several loving classmates; the Sudderth family; the Airport Hilton family and devoted supporters, Candace McClusky; Sylvia Roca and Carol J. Henry.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 20, at Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Zion Church in Rockford with Rev. Gloria Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 - 3:00 with the service beginning at 3:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The remains may be viewed after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Foothills Funeral Home, Maryville.

RICHARD WILLIAMS, JR.
Richard Williams, Jr., age 69 of Alcoa died Friday evening at UT Medical Center.
Survivors include beloved wife, Evelyn Robinson Williams; devoted daughter and son-in-law, Vivien and Cameron Love; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Denetrah Simpson, Darian and L-Nyah Mattress of Louisville, Kris Jackson of Alcoa, Ana-Alise and Di-Avion Jackson and Kaleisha Jackson of Chattanooga; brothers, Richard (Barbara) Williams of Camden, S.C., Dr. Mike Williams, of Maryville, Rev. Jim (Anita) Williams, Lorain, Ohio, George Williams of Alcoa, Clarence (Sharon) Williams of Louisville; sisters, Henritta Williams of New York and Geneva Harrison of Alcoa; brothers-in-law, Julius Roper of Maryville, Ted (Mary) Robinson of Ohio; Kenith (Rita) Robinson of Maryville and Lawrence Robinson of Ohio; sisters-in-law, Victoria (Sydney) Coffin of Louisville and Odessa (Joe) Cowan of New York; devoted cousin, Johnny Thornton; devoted friends, William T. Lundy and Bob Kidd; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He loved his Masonic and political families but above all loved his church family and 'Paw-Paws Posse.'
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 21, 2003 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church, 178 Bessie Harvey Ave., Alcoa. Homegoing service will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Elder Joe L. Colquitt officiating. Interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Foothills Funeral Home, Maryville in charge.

FRANKIE T. BURNS
Mrs. Frankie T. Burns, 94, Telford, TN, died Thursday, January 16, 2003 at her residence after a brief illness. She was a native of Roane County, TN, and a daughter of the late Lawrence Lee and Frances Melvina Harvey Thomas. She was also preceded in death by a son Dr. Charles T. Burns in 1998. Mrs. Burns was a member of First Baptist Church in Jonesborough and a former member of Trenton Street Baptist Church in Harriman, TN, for over 60 years. She was a Sunday School teacher in the childrens department for many years and sang in the church choir for over 60 years. She was a retired beautician.
Surviving: her husband of 72 years Claude O. Burns of the home; a son Gerald Burns, Telford, and a sister Lyda Jones, Harriman TN; 6 grandchildren Lena Burns, Bryan Burns both of Atlanta; Lonnie Burns, Decatur, Alabama, Kathi McCoy and Linda Marshal both of Portland, Oregon and Barry Burns, Apex, NC, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Frankie Burns will be conducted 8:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2003 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, Jonesborough, with Rev. Joel Cook officiating. Interment will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 19, 2003 at Maple Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Burns, Lonnie Burns, Curtis Jones, Larry Jones, Bobby Jones and Andy Kaufman. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM Saturday, January 18, 2003. Memorial donations may be made Roane St. Community College, Burns Scholarship Fund, Patton Lane, Rockwood, TN 37854.

CHARLOTTE REAGAN HAVENS
Charlotte Reagan Havens, Mrs. Floyd A. Havens of Maryville, born February 7, 1921 went home Friday, January 17, 2003. Those who went home before here were husband, Floyd Avery Havens; sons, Mayford Reagan Havens and Floyd Dennis Havens; parents, PC and Nan Reagan; brothers and sisters, Hazel Bingham, Carrie Bingham, Mamie Kirkland, Charlie Reagan and Luther Reagan. She was a charter member of Centenary Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. She had a love for drawing and art.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Judy and David Whitehead of Maryville; grandchildren, Olympia Bynum and husband Bruce, Karlen Boring, David Havens and wife Susan, Reagan Havens and wife Paige, and Mandy Simms and husband Shannon; great grandchildren, Kylie, Zachary, and Andy Bynum, Bailey and Jackson Boring, Madison and Daniel Havens, Mason and Rachel Havens, and Aidian Davis; daughters-in-law, Martha Havens and Elizabeth Havens Bowen; special niece, Charlene Meyers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Randolph officiating. The interment will follow in Centenary Cemetery. STEVEN LYNN HOUSEHOLDER
Steven Lynn Householder, age 48, of Maryville passed away Thursday morning, January 16, 2003, at the family home. Retired member of local No. 309 United Steel Workers of America. preceded in death by father, Leland 'Dee' Householder; sister, Janice Householder.
Survivors: wife, Gwen Householder; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Katie Householder of Maryville; grandchildren, Luke, Kassidy, Eli Householder; mother, Helen Householder of Maryville; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Brenda Fox of Tazewell, Va.; stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Scott and Kristi Cupp of Louisville; stepgrandchildren, Chandler, Parker Cupp; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Susan and Carl Underwood of Friendsville, Ginger and Bill Gutridge of Maryville; numerous nieces and nephews, friends and co-workers.

Evelyn Fredia Beals (Bales) Lee, age 89, passed away 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 17, 2003 at the home of her son Jerry Lee, 409 W. Vinegar Valley Road, Friendsville. She attended Gray Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors: daughters & sons-in-law, Fredia May Evens, Tressie Eisenhower, Peggy & Jerry Long, Pat & Sam Burns, Betty & Don Shope, all of Blount County, Judy & Sam Vardaman, Anderson, Ind.; sons & daughter-in-law, Jerry & Gail Lee, Steve & Kim Evens, Sam & Scott Lee, Jason Vardaman, Bethany Lovelady, Jeff Burns, Dove Morgan, Billy Long, Ferlin & Matthew Eisenhower; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Miller, Parker Ind.; sister-in-law, Shirley Bales, Muncie, Ind.; several nieces & nephews; special friends, Kenneth Wilson, Alice, Jim & Angelia Rogers, Mic & Cindy Zurhellen, Ray Parrott, Charlotte Prince, Hung MA, Kenneth Bell, Irene & Tony Jones.

Lloyd Thomas Jr. 'Tommy' McCampbell -- age 47, of Knoxville. preceded in death by father, J. Dee Weddington.

KATHERINE MELINDA RAMSEY BILBREY
Katherine Melinda Ramsey Bilbrey, 89, devoted mother died Saturday, January 11, 2003 at Colonial Hills Health Center, Maryville, Tennessee following an extended illness. Born June 1, 1913 in McMinnville, Tennessee to the late Leslie and Carrie Ramsey, Mrs. Bilbrey was a dedicated member of the Maryville Church of Christ. preceded in death by husband, Haskel Bilbrey.
She is survived by son, Orval P. (Barbara) Malone, Sacramento, CA; daughters, Brenda (Arnold) Widener, Joann English, Denver Colorado, Patricia Garner, Louisville, Tennessee; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; former son-in-law, Bryan Garner; devoted life-long friend/cousin, Josephine Shockley; many special friends to include Tressa Knighton, Anna Garner, Sonja Armstrong and Elsie Houston.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Colonial Hills Center and to Sandra Hudson for their devotion and kindness shown throughout Mrs. Bilbrey's illness. George Eli Cook, SMSGT (Retired), of Powell, TN, was found dead at home January 8, 2003. He was born in Greenback, TN, to the late Ina and Georgia Cooper Cook. married to the late Mrs. Miyoko Cook.
Survived by children, Mrs. Velma (David L.) Cook-Bumgardner, Oak Ridge, Norman Cook, California; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Warren Glen Cook, Alcoa, TN; nephews, Glen, Lowell and June; nieces, Georgia, Rhodia, Hallie, Mary Ruth, Mary Ella; and several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of friends across the world.
Family will receive friends Thursday, January 16, 10:30 to 11 a.m., Jarnigans Chapel, with full Military Honors. Interment Knoxville National Cemetery.

EDNA WARD HEIRD
Edna Ward Heird, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2003, at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. She was a longtime resident of Blount County and a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll T. Heird; and son, Robert W. Heird.
Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, William C. and Jane R. Heird of Houston, TX, James C. and Pat Heird of Ft. Collins, CO; daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and William R. Rice of Memphis, TN and Alice and Bill Snodgrass of Rogersville, TN; daughter-in-law, Antonietta Haralson of Maryville; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, A. L. Ward, Jr. of FL; sister, Alice Claiborne of Knoxville.
A private graveside service will be held Thursday, January 16, 2003, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens followed by a 2:00 p.m. memorial service at New Providence Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends at the Church following the service. Memorials may be made to New Providence Presbyterian Church, 703 W. Broadway, Maryville, TN 37801. WILLIE MAE HENDERSON
Willie Mae Henderson, age 83 of Sevierville, died Tuesday, January 14, 2003. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sevierville where she served as treasurer of her Sunday school class and was active in Triple L. She was preceded in death by her husband Conley W. Henderson.
Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Max and Paula Henderson; grandson, Barry Max Henderson.
Funeral service 7 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Andrews officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Friday in Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to First Baptist Church, Building Fund, 317 Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862.
