THOMAS, WILLIAM ANDERSON, 72, Rockford, Mich., formerly of Alcoa, and Fort Wayne, Ind., died Thursday, Jan. 19, in Rockford, Mich. Formerly an industrial engineer with ALCOA and operating superintendent at the West Plant. Thomas retired in 1996 as CEO of the Lincoln Food service Co. in Fort Wayne.
Survivors: wife, Jonell Thornton Thomas of Rockford, Mich.; daughters, Mary Ann Thomas Monaresi of West Creek, N.J, ; Catherine Thomas Hammond of Philadelphia, and Nancy Thomas Peterson of Jamesberg, N.J.; sons, Wade Thornton of Rockford, Mich., and Scott Thornton of Greenville, Mich.; brother, Albert H. Thomas of San Diego; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Monday at Pederson Funeral Home, Rockford, Mich.

WILLIAMS, CATHY ELAINE, 47, Maryville, died Saturday, Jan. 13, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Survivors: daughters, Tina Smith and Tasha Elliott; son, Shane Martin; five grandchildren; brothers, Ronald, Donald, Tim and John Underwood; sister, Sandra Hurst; stepmother, Geneva Underwood; stepfather, Dewey Bone; stepsisters, Tina Johnson, Pat Johnson, Shanda Keeyes and Sheila Patterson; stepbrother, Tim Headrick.
Williams was cremated, and a memorial service will be announced later. Arrangements by Dotson Funeral Home.

BROOKS, ESTEL RAY, 64, Arlington, Va., formerly of Claiborne County, died Thursday, Jan. 18, at Inova Cameron Glen Nursing Center.
Survivors: wife, Alice M. Brooks; sons, Raydean Brooks of Maryville and Kevin Brooks of Virginia; two grandchildren; brothers, Warren Brooks of Kentucky and Franklin Brooks of Utah; sisters, Jane Carmony of Tazewell, Kathleen Chumley and Lucille Hazel McGill both of Maryville, Queenie Ray Binker of Kentucky, June Brooks of Illinois, Grace O'Claire of Maryville;
Funeral service will be 3 p.m., Tuesday at Smith Mortuary. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.

GIBSON, KIMBERLY FAYE, 37, Maryville, died, Friday, Jan. 19, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She worked at Adecco Staffing Service.
Survivors: husband, Steve Gibson; son, Justin Linginfelter of Maryville; stepdaughters, Stephanie and Jamie Gibson of Maryville; parents, Arlin and Marjorie Cardin of Alcoa; brother, Mike Cardin of Alcoa; sister, Cathy Justice of Maryville.
Funeral service will be 8 p.m., Sunday at Smith Mortuary. Family and friends will assemble at 11 a.m., Monday at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.

LANCASTER, RUTH KEENE, 85, Maryville, died Friday, Jan. 19, at the family home. She retired from the Knox County School System.
Survivors: daughters, Patricia Teffeteller of Maryville and Kathryn Thomas of Bowling Green, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 7:30 p.m. Monday at Smith Mortuary. Entombment will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.

SIMS, DARLEEN THOMPSON, Maryville, formerly of Monroe County, died Friday, Jan. 19, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Survivors: husband, Cleve Sims; daughter, LeAnna Sims; son, Terry Sims all of Maryville; mother, Annie R. Thompson, Tellico Plains; sister, Devean Crofts, Maryville; brother, David Thompson of Madisonville.
Funeral will be 8 p.m. Sunday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home. Interment will be 11 a.m. Monday in Ebenezer (Ballplay) Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

TEFFETELLER, MILDRED LOUISE, 58, Maryville, died Friday, Jan. 19, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She retired from the State of Tennessee with 25 years of service and Lake Shore.
Survivors: son, Jeffrey Alan and Rhea Gregg of Maryville; mother, Myrtle Keasler of Maryville; brothers, Ronald Wayne Keasler of Alcoa and Robert Keasler of Maryville; sisters, Carolyn Russell of Maryville, Sandra Marcum of Louisville and Leta Bryant of Nashville.
Funeral service will be 7:30 p.m. Monday at Smith Mortuary. Family and friends will assemble 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Smith Mortuary.

YARBROUGH, MARSHAL, Maryville, died Friday, Jan. 18, at St. Mary's Select Care. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Smith Mortuary.

58, Maryville, died Monday, Jan. 22, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Survivors: wife, Karen Weyler Bell; daughters, Lisa Bell and Missy Bell both of Maryville; mother, Betty E. Currie Bell of Maryville; brother, Michael G. Bell of Maryville; sister, Donna Bell Smith of Maryville.
Funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Mortuary. Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.

BLACK, SANDRA LOUISE DOBSON, College Park, Ga., died Monday, Jan. 15. She was an educator in the Atlanta Public School System for over 30 years.
Survivors: daughter, Velita Latrice Black; two grandchildren; sisters, Othella Jones of Louisville, Wanda Dean, of Alcoa; brother, L.T. Dobson of Los Angeles.
Viewing and wake service and celebration of life service were held at Murray Brothers Cascade Chapel, Atlanta, with the eulogy by former Atlanta Mayor and United Nations Ambassador Andrew Young. Interment at Craigs Chapel Cemetery, Greenback.

COOPER, OTIS CLIFFORD, 85, Maryville, died Sunday, Jan. 21, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Survivors: five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers, Ellis Cooper of Maryville and Walter Cooper of Tallassee.
Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grandview cemetery for the interment service. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

FRANK, ORA MAE, 84, Maryville, died Monday, Jan. 22, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Memorial Funeral Home.

PAYNE, GEORGE ALVIN, 88, Maryville, died Sunday, Jan. 21, at Asbury Acres Health Care Center.
Survivors: stepdaughter, Evelyn Orwig of Belleville, Ill.; stepson, James W. Kirkpatrick of Maryville; son, Paul A. Payne; daughter, Velma Louise Holmes; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; four sisters, Ella B. Delay and Ruby McFee both of Alcoa, Loretta Christie of Maryville and Cathern Tucker of Tellico Village.
Graveside service and interment will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home.

PHINNEY, ARIEL ELAINE, infant daughter of Lester Jr. and Donna Beal Phinney of Maryville, was born and died Monday, Jan. 22, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
In addition to her parents, survivors: brother, Lester Phinney III, maternal grandparents, Donnie and Janet Beal; paternal grandparents, Patty and Lester Phinney Sr.; maternal great grandfather, Walter Daniel, all of Maryville; and paternal great grandmother, Helen McCoy of Tampa, Fla.
Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. today at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a graveside service. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.

ROREX, REUBEN H., 69, Maryville, died Sunday, Jan. 21, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was retired from ALCOA.
Survivors: wife, Norma Rorex; sons, Barry of Maryville, Brett of Chicago; mother, Beatrice Hannum of Maryville; sister, Gertrude Love of Maryville; brothers, William Hannum of Detroit, David Hannum of Alcoa, Walter Hannum of Maryville.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul A.M.E. Zion Church. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Arrangements by McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.

84, Maryville, died Monday, Jan. 22, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Survivors: sons, Rufus Eugene Frank and Benton Frank, both of Maryville, Bobby Frank of Georgia; 10 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville. Burial will follow at Bakers Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
