JOSEPH BURL LEE SR.
Joseph Burl Lee Sr., 72 of Glasgow, KY, died Sunday, January 26, 2003, at his home. He was born in Maryville, TN, the son of the late Henry Jackson Lee and Ramona Finger Lee. Mr. Lee was an Electrical Operator for the T.V.A., was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, and was a member and active Elder in the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was also a coach at the Highlander Bowl Saturday Youth Bowling League, a Little League Coach and was a former High School Basketball coach in East Tennessee, a member of the Barren River Rod and Gun Club and a Life Time Director of the Bowling Green Bowling Assn.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bell Lee; 2 sons, Joe Lee Jr. and wife Judy of Bowling Green, KY, and Jeff Lee and wife Tammy of Glasgow, KY; 1 brother, Carl Lee of Maryville, TN; 2 sisters, Ruby Tallent and Virginia Thompson both of Maryville, TN; 3 grandchildren, Josh Lee, Tyler Lee and Brandon Lee; and several nieces and nephews.
Three sisters, Naomi Dixon, Pearl Presley and Ruth Patty preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time for services at the church.
FRED G. PETERS
Fred G. Peters, 74, of Tullahoma, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2003, at Harton Hospital in Tullahoma. A native of Friendsville, TN, he was the son of the late Jacob Burton and Lucile Griffitts Peters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennifer Moores.
Mr. Peters was a retired fireman with AEDC and a member of the Society of Friends Quaker Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Peters of Tullahoma; one son, Jake Peters of Brentwood, TN; two daughters, Leslie Sadler of Bucksport, Maine, and Lorie Fisher-Braly of Columbia, TN; two sisters, Joyce Peters of Friendsville, TN, and Sylvia Springer of Carrollton, GA; and 7 grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, January 27, 2003, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at 10 a.m. at the Daves-Culbertson Chapel with Rev. Monnie Caine officiating. Burial will follow at New Reddens Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to 'Jennifer's Closet, ' Centerstone Mental Health, 516 E. Carroll Street, Tullahoma, TN, 37388.

EDWARD H. `ED' POOLE
Mr. Edward H. 'Ed' Poole, age 79, of North Front Street, Rockwood, passed away, Monday, January 27, 2003, in the Roane Medical Center, Harriman. Mr. Poole was a retired pipe fitter and a member of the Rockwood First Baptist Church and the Rockwood V.F.W., and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mable Roddy Poole; his parents, Henry and Pearl Poole; and his brother, Thurman H. Poole.
He is survived by: sisters, Wilma Jeffries, of Rockwood, Mildred Forrester, of Rockwood, Margaret Douglas, of Alcoa; brother, Raymond Poole, of Maryville; special nephew, Eddie Woodall and wife, Angela, of Charleston, South Carolina; special niece, Barbara Roddy Young and husband, Joe of Rockwood; niece, June Fisher, of Rockwood; sister-in-law, Mary Poole, of Maryville; special friend, Jimmie Hamby, of Rockwood; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 28, at 8:00 p.m. from the chapel of Evans Mortuary with Rev. Steve Foster and Rev. Charles Kelley officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Oak Grove cemetery with full military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary.

ARNOLD ROYAL TIPTON
Arnold Royal Tipton, age 74 of Maryville, went to be with his heavenly father on Sunday, January 26, 2003. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church, was a veteran of the Korean War, was retired from ALCOA and a member of the 25 Year Service Club.
Survivors include: wife, Barbara Yearout Tipton; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Barbara Tipton; daughter and son-in-law, Dena and Robert Henry; son, Don Tipton; eight grandchildren, Travis Tipton, Tracie Tipton, Amy Sellers, Clay Sellers, Diedra Murphy, Zachary Tipton, Adam Henry, Aaron Henry; 2 great-grandchildren, Gage Murphy and Aaron Tipton; brothers and sisters, Juanita Myers, Jean Teffeteller, Evelyn Freeman, Helen King, Charles Tipton, and J.T. Tipton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Royal and Mayme Tipton; and sister, Thelma Monaco.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ernest Conde officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Prospect cemetery for a military graveside service.

WAYNE EUGENE CARDIN
Wayne Eugene Cardin, age 74 of Maryville, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was retired from ALCOA after 31 years of service and also served 4 years in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by wife, Mattie H. Cardin.
Survivors include: daughters, Judy Buchanan and Brenda Finley; granddaughter, Donna Michele Meadows; grandsons, Anthony O'Dell and Eric Stout; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Imogene Tallent and Verda Woodruff all of Maryville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Blake and Mary Ellen Cardin of Madisonville, Arlin and Marjorie Cardin of Alcoa; nephew, Harold Cardin; niece, Evalene Cardin; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Dr. John Franklin officiating. The interment will follow in Maryville Baptist Tabernacle Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
MARIAN WARNKE KISTLER
Marian Warnke Kistler of Lexington, KY died Saturday, January 25, 2003. She was born February 26, 1922. She was the widow of William Robert Kistler, Sr. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Lexington, Kentucky. Past member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Alcoa, Tennessee and instrumental in the building of the new church building on Louisville Road. Graduate of University of Nebraska. Retired medical technologist at Blount Memorial Hospital. Volunteer instructor of English as a Second Language for many years. Member of Rocky Top Society and Decorative Painters Association.
Survivors include: daughter, Elizabeth Kistler and her husband, William Safford; son, William Robert Kistler, Jr and his wife Elaine Abbott Kistler; daughter, Margaret Mary Kistler of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter, Jini Kai and her husband Lynne MacAdam; daughter, Kistler-Martin and her husband David T. Martin; daughter, Nancy K. Whitehead and her husband David H. Whitehead; grandchildren, Marguerite Safford, Teresa Safford, Kalen Shea MacAdam of Madison Wisconsin, Constance Safford, Zinah Gregory and Crispin Tucker Martin of Knoxville, Tennessee, Rebecca Adelle Kistler and Carolyn Suzanne Kistler of Russellville, Arkansas, David Alexander Whitehead and Rachel Veronica Whitehead of Lexington, Kentucky; great grandchildren, Jessica and Rebecca, of Olympia, Washington; close personal friends, Jayne and Ryan Rahe of Maryville, Tennessee.

TIMOTHY `TIM' ROBERT MYERS
Timothy 'Tim' Robert Myers, age 64, of Sumter, SC died on Friday, January 24, 2003 at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Maryville, TN, the son of the late Sanford Levi Myers and Thelma Wilson Myers Shinpaugh. He retired from the US Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. He later retired from the Wateree Correctional Institution as a Correction Officer. He was a member of the VFW, and the Midland Retired Military Association. He was a friend to many people. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are: two daughters, Sandy Hallman and her husband Michael of Dalzell, SC and Sharon Gordon of Ware Shoals, SC; one brother, Henry S. Myers of Maryville, TN; one stepbrother, John Shinpaugh of Norristown, PA; one stepsister, Karen Eskew of Yuma, AZ; and three grandchildren, Eric Hassler and Christopher Gordon, both of Ware Shoals, SC and Tyler Hallman of Dalzell, SC.
Funeral Services with full military honors will be held on Monday, January 27, 2003 at 4:00 p.m. at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Darryl Davids officiating.
Graveside services in Maryville, TN will be announced by McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
The family received friends on Sunday, January 26, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. at Bullock Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Sharon T. Stanley.

PHILLIP MICHAEL RICH
Phillip Michael Rich, age 54 of Maryville passed away Friday, January 24, 2003 at the family home. preceded in death by mother, Lucille Woods Rich; brothers, David Ramsey, Jerry Rich.
Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Sarah Rich of Greenback; son, Timmy Rich of Maryville; grandchildren, Kaleb Michael Rich, Hanna Elise Rich, Isaac Scott Rich, Elijah Lee Rich; sister, Carolyn McBrayer of Maryville; brother, Charles Rich of California; sister-in-law, Debbie Ramsey of Maryville; nieces and nephews.

JAMES RAYMOND FINGER
James Raymond Finge, r age 62, passed away Friday, January 24, 2003 at his residence. Mr. Finger was proceed in death by his parents Pauline Wine and Parks Finger and his brother Charles William Finger.
Survivors: son Robert and daughter-in-law Cheryl Finger, two half-sisters and one half-brother, sister Betty and brother-in-law Bobby Goforth; grand-children Cody and Shelby Finger; special friends; Aline Meredith and Roxanna Munford.
Family will receive friends today between 6-8:00 P.M. with service to follow in the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Brian Rush officiating. Family will meet at Union Grove Methodist cemetery at 1:45 for a 2:00 P.M. Burial.
BLANCHE KELLER BAIN
Blanche Keller Bain, age 74 of Maryville, died Saturday January 25th 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband Gene Bain, and parents John and Myrtle Keller.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Tucker of Maryville, daughter Brenda McCoy of Ga., sons Michael Bain of Maryville, Philip Bain of Knoxville, and son and daughter-in-law Joel and Susan Bain of Knoxville, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law Ervil and Gladys Keller of Maryville, Dewey and Vada Keller of Wilmington N.C., Fred and Shirley Keller of Arkansas, Johnny and Janet Keller of Huntsville Alabama, sisters and brothers-in-law Reva and Chet Whitehead of Maryville, Merle and Bud Tipton of Maryville. Several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Campbell and Rev. Kenneth Sullivan officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family and friends will meet at Grandview cemetery Monday at 12:00 p.m. for the interment service.
