Cecil George Long, age 74 of Maryville, passed away Friday, November 8, 2002 at his home. He was preceded in death by: Parents, Hobert and Dove Long; Brothers, Raymond Long and R.L. Long; Sisters, June Baker, Marietta Cannon, and Erma Jean Proctor.
Survivors include: Wife of 50 years, Betty Ruth Martin Long; Daughter and son-in-law, Debbie Long Casey and her husband Fred Casey Jr.; Brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Peggy Long; Sisters, Dorthy Scarbrough and Juanita Stafford; Sister and brother-in-law, Mame and Robert Tipton; Sisters-in-law Ruth 'Mrs. Raymond' Long, Linda Martin, and Pat Martin; Many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Sunday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Charles Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Family and friends will meet 10 a.m. Monday at Old Piney cemetery for the interment.

BERRY, ROBERT,
2002-11-09
77, Pinehurst, N.C., died Thursday, Nov. 7, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
He was a retired railroad engineer.
Survivors: son, Robert C. Berry; daughter, Debora Berry Steagall; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 608, Hamlet, N.C. 28345.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Harrington Funeral Home and Chapel in North Carolina.

WILSON, JULIUS M., died Friday, Nov. 8 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Foothills Funeral Home-Maryville.

GRADY W. DONALD
Grady W. Donald, age 73 of Maryville, died Thursday, January 30, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Donald; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Bettye Donald; sons, Bryson Donald, Jeffery Donald and Lanis Donald all of South Carolina, Terry Donald of Maryville and Stephen Donald of Walland; daughter, Tammy Nuchols of Louisville; nine grandchildren; brother, John Donald II of Jacksboro, TN; sister, Ann Donald of Michigan.
Funeral service 7:30 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2003, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary with Rev. Ernest Ward officiating. The family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2003 at Grandview cemetery for the interment. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000.

AUDREY J. HEDRICK
Audrey J. Hedrick, age 77 of Kettering, OH, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at Hospice of Dayton, OH. She worked at the famous Bletchley Park in London, England during WWII and was an extremely talented bookkeeper, retiring from WHIO TV. Audrey was a long-time member of Greenmont-Oak Park Community Church and a woman of great strength and faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Annie Bazely.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Edward Hedrick; loving son, James Hedrick; adoring sister, Joyce Downer of Toronto, Canada; and a loving brother, James Bazely of London, England; many nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of friends.
Family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2003, at Carpenters cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Ken Tucker officiating.

W. J. `BILL' WORRELL
W. J. "Bill", Worrell, age 87 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2003, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Maryville First Christian Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Worrell; daughter, Priscilla Quesenberry; and infant son, David Ronald Worrell.
Survivors include: daughters, Charlotte Williamson and Donna Beaty both of Maryville; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; very special friend, Etta Lawhorn of Maryville; sister, June Coe of Sylvatus, VA.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Maryville First Christian Church with Casey Hancock, Minister officiating. The interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Church or friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.

DEBRA SYNTHIA ANGELINI
Debra Synthia Angelini, age 42 of Maryville, died Friday, January 24, 2003, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of East Maryville Baptist Church. She graduated Nurse Aide, LPN, and RN School with Honors. She was a professional Nurse for 22 years and currently employed at Blount Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Sue Sandifer; aunt and uncle, Shirley and Ulyss Bishop. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Wayne Angelini; daughter, Anna Leigh Angelini of Maryville; son, Mark Wayne Angelini of Maryville; father and stepmother, Julian T. and Margaret Sandifer of Pearl, MS; brothers, Phillip Sandifer of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, Bo Sandifer of Florence, MS; sisters, Bonnie Ward of Harrisville, MS, Cindy Ethridge of Brandon, MS, Julie Sandifer of Fresno, CA, Gaylynn Goff of Gadsden, AL; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2003, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. David Webster and Rev. Keith Johnson officiating with Interment to follow at Grandview Cemetery. TRULEN L. BROOKSHIRE, SR.
Trulen L. Brookshire, Sr. of Townsend, TN, passed away Sunday January 26, 2003. Mr. Brookshire was a member of the Heritage Church Of God and was a veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Maxine; and son, Trulen Jr.; parents, Herman and Jessie Brookshire; brother, Edward Brookshire.
Survivors: son, Terry Brookshire of Connolly Springs, NC; daughters, Brenda Adams of Townsend, TN, and Judy Pennell of Lenoir, NC; grandsons, Eddie Davis and Terry S. Brookshire Jr.; granddaughter, Kathy Brookshire; several beloved stepsons and stepdaughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive.
Family will receive friends Tuesday 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Chapel. Service to follow With the Rev. Fate Green, the Rev. Ronnie Hepperly and the Rev. David Hutsell officiating. VIRGINIA CARR
Virginia Carr, age 81, of Maryville, went home to be with the Lord at 3:00 a.m. Monday morning, January 27, 2003, at Maryville Health Care Center. She was a member of Mtn. View Baptist Church and retired from All Childrens Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. Survivors include husband, Rev. Philip Carr; daughter and son-in-law, Catheryn and Bernie Sebell of St. Petersburg, Florida; stepchildren, Jacque Moneymaker, Claude Carr and Willard Carr; grandson, Bryan Campbell of Michigan; niece, Carol White of Michigan; nephew, Paul Spurlin of Michigan and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Harrison Hill, Rev. Harold Robbins and Rev. Freddy Gibson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service. Family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

JAMES MURPHY COOPER SR.
James Murphy Cooper, Sr., age 69 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2003, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Preceded in death by parents, John and Autie Cooper; 1 infant son; granddaughter, Maranda Marie Wilburn; sisters, Leo Grace Cooper Daily, Cleo Gray Cooper Russell and Mary Sue Cooper Hale.
Survivors include wife, Shelby Sparks Cooper; son and daughter-in-law, John and Melissa Cooper of Maryville; son, Jimmy Cooper of Maryville; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Michael Wilburn of Maryville, Ginger and Larry Wilburn of Maryville, Pam and Raymond Dorsey of Louisville; grandchildren and spouses, Kelly and Johnathan Settlemyre, Amy and Bo Blankenship, Rodney and Charlotte Wilburn, Kayla Wilburn, Jeffrey Dorsey, Brandon Cooper, Corey Cooper and Ami Irwin; great-grandchildren, Hunter Webb, Harley Wilburn and Tyler Blankenship; sisters, Irma LeQuire of Knoxville, Edith LeQuire of Louisville, Louise Boone of Kingston, Geraldine Waters of Maryville, Unav Pilkington of Maryville and Odell Huffstetler of Maryville; many special friends, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Dale Buchanan and Rev. Rick Sweet officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Hopewell cemetery for the interment service. Family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

SID HATFIELD
Sid Hatfield, age 73 of Knoxville, died unexpectedly January 25, 2003. He was a member of Church Street United Methodist Church. Mr. Hatfield was a US Army veteran serving in Korea and remained active in the US Air National Guard Reserve Unit attaining the rank of Lt. Colonel. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and member of the baseball team where he was named MVP of the 1951 College World Series. He began his career as teacher and coach at Rule High School before being hired by Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville to teach and coach baseball and basketball. In 1966, he returned to Knoxville to coach where he coached basketball, baseball and golf during his career.
Preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather Lynn Hatfield.
Mr. Hatfield is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol; sons, Bill Hatfield and his wife, Cheryl, of Knoxville and Jeff Hatfield of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Kim Hatfield-Gray of Knoxville; grandchildren, Patrick Ryan Gray, Kiley Gray, Christopher Hatfield and Sidney Hatfield; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet at Tennessee Veterans cemetery Wednesday for a 1:30 p.m. graveside service with Rev. William J. Fowler and Rev. Cable W. Trent officiating. Military honors presented by Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Soup Kitchen Fund, Church St. United Methodist Church, 900 Henley St., Knoxville, Tenn. 37902, or Special Olympics of Greater Knoxville, P.O. Box 51561, Knoxville, Tenn. 37950. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.

MARIAN WARNKE KISTLER
Marian Warnke Kistler, born February 26, 1922, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2003, in Lexington, KY. She was the widow of William Robert Kistler Sr. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Lexington, KY, was a past member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Alcoa, TN, and was instrumental in the building of the new church building on Louisville Road. She was a graduate of the University of Nebraska, was a retired medical technologist at Blount Memorial Hospital, a volunteer instructor of English as a Second Language for many years and a member of Rocky Top Society and Decorative Painters Association.
Survivors include: daughter, Elizabeth Kistler (William Safford) and grandchildren, Marguerite Safford, Teresa Safford, Constance Safford; and great-grandchildren, Jessica and Rebecca of Olympia, Washington; son, William Robert Kistler Jr. (Elaine Abbott Kistler) and grandchildren, Rebecca Adelle Kistler and Carolyn Suzanne Kistler of Russellville, Arkansas; daughter, Jini Kai (Lynne MacAdam) and grandchild, Kalen Shea MacAdam of Madison, Wisconsin; daughter, Margaret Mary Kistler of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter, Barbara Kistler-Martin (David T. Martin) and grandchildren, Zinah Gregory and Crispin Tucker Martin of Knoxville, Tennessee; daughter, Nancy K. Whitehead (David H. Whitehead) and grandchildren, David Alexander Whitehead and Rachel Veronica Whitehead of Lexington, Kentucky; close personal friends, Jayne and Ryan Rahe of Maryville, Tennessee.
Rosary and receiving of friends will be Wednesday, January 29 from 6-8:00 p.m. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville, Tennessee. Funeral mass will be held Thursday, January 30th, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Alcoa, Tennessee with the interment service to follow in Grandview Cemetery.
