Earin Claude Breeden, age 84, passed away November 17, 2002. He was a member of Alcoa Maryville Church of God. preceded in death by parents, Horace and Donetta Breeden; infant son, John Edmond Breeden; and infant granddaughters, Jasmine and Haley Birchfield.
Survivors: wife of 61 years, Inez Breeden; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Wade Neal; son, Greg Breeden and fiancee' Donna; sister, Vadia McLemore of Oak Ridge and Marie LeGrande of Maryville; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Daniel Edward Evans, age 46 of Maryville, passed away Friday, November 8, 2002 at home. preceded in death by parents, W.C. and Margaret Maebelle Baker Evans.
Survivors: daughter, April Marie Evans of Aurora, CO; brother and sister-in-law, W.C. (Bob) and Sandra Evans of Alcoa; nephew, Grayson Evans of Alcoa; aunt, Lila E. Clayton of S.C.; special aunt and uncle, Wilma Jean B. Graves and Don Baker both of Maryville; cousin, Ed Baker of Middle Tennessee.
Family and friends will meet at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2002 at Maple Grove Baptist Church cemetery for graveside service and interment, Rev. Dan Bartl, Rev. Arkie Baker and Rev. Nellie Viola Heaton, age 63 of Friendsville, passed away Sunday evening, November 17, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. preceded in death by parents, William and Elisa Williams; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors: husband, Gordon Heaton; children, Tommy Jo Wallin of Friendsville, Roscoe Wallin of Greenback, LeRoy Wallin of Greenback, William Wallin of South Carolina, Timothy Heaton of Vonore, Agnes Huffstetler of Maryville, Della Jones of Maryville, Ruby Wallin of Greenback and Rita Pettyjohn of Friendsville; 11 grandchildren; 4 great- grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Williams of Friendsville, Josie Cable of Maryville, Zella Warren of Kodak and Dorothy Line of Knoxville; brother, Ernest Ledbetter of Michigan; several nieces and nephews.

Stella Holloway, age 87 of Louisville passed away Sunday morning, November 17, 2002 . She was an active member of Zion Chapel Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by husband, Brunner Holloway; son, Edward Holloway; parents, Alice and John Gooden; grandson, Larry Wolfe; brothers, John Gooden, Clayton Gooden.
Survivors include, daughters, Alice Wolfe of Louisville, Frances Easter of Maryville; son, Clayton Kenneth Holloway of Maryville; sister, Helen Cagle of Maryville; grandchildren, Ronnie Holloway, Jimmy Holloway, and Carol Shaw all of TX, Kent Holloway of Kansas, David Holloway of Maryville, Brenda Key of Louisville, Jamie Easter of Maryville; eleven great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.

MARK FRANKLIN MILLSAPS
Mark Franklin Millsaps, age 30 of Columbus, Ohio died Sunday, November 17, 2002 at the James Cancer Center in Columbus Ohio. He was born in Maryville, TN on May 25, 1972. He attended Avon Lake High School in Ohio and graduated from Ohio State University. He was employed by the McGraw-Hill Company. He will be remembered by those he touched in his short life. preceded in death by grandfather, Woodrow W. Millsaps; grandmother, Ollie Large.
Survivors include parents, Gary and Mary Jo Millsaps of Maryville; sister, Lara Millsaps of Columbus, OH; grandmother, LaVerne Long of Santa Barbara, CA; step grandmother, Gloria Millsaps of Columbus, GA and several aunts and uncles.

Louise Costner Best, age 88 of Maryville died Saturday November 16, 2002 at U.T. Hospital. She was a member of Carpenters Campground United Methodist Church. She was a retired Teacher from the Blount County School System with 36 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Bama Huffstetler Costner; son, Stanley Boyd Best Sr.; grandson, Alan Frank Hitch; sister, Mattie Lee Costner; brothers, Frank Costner, and Roland S. Costner.

Vadie Devine Jenkins of Alcoa died Saturday, November 16, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ishmael Lee Jenkins; sons, Benny Fred Jenkins and Dewey Frank Jenkins; granddaughter, Renee Haughpert; father, Jacob Houk Devine; mother, Arlie Devine; sister, Pearl Costner; brother, Reece Devine. Survivors include, sons & daughters-in-law, J. Will & Sue Jenkins of Madisonville and Leon & Catherine Jenkins of Ellejay, GA; son, Beecher Jenkins of Marietta, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Joyce & Rev. Leroy Phipps, 60, of Strawberry Plains, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2002 at Park West Hospital. He was a member of Youngs Memorial AME Zion Church, a retired Tennessee highway patrolman, a Tennessee licensed funeral director, and at present a Jefferson County School Commissioner.
Funeral service 3 p.m. Sunday Youngs Memorial AME Zion Church. The family will receive friends Sunday 1-3 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Arrangement by Fielden Funeral Home New Market.
ELIZABETH ROBINSON RACHELS
Elizabeth Robinson Rachels, age 77 of Maryville, passed away November 13, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She attended Monte Vista Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Lee Robinson; Naomi and Bill Robinson and other sisters out of state.
She leaves behind husband, William T. Rachels; sons, Steven Rachels of Maryville, Marvin C. Ogle of Macon, GA, Thomas Rachels of Jacksonville, FL; brother, John Robinson of Sweetwater; sister, Lorene Mason of Maryville.

PAUL T. VICKERS
Paul T. Vickers, age 82 of Knoxville went to Glory Saturday, November 16, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Mr. Vickers pastored Nazarene Churches in Kentucky at Cattlesburg First and North Middleton. He was pastor in Tennessee at Palmer, Grace Church South Knoxville and worked with his wife at Emmanuel Nazarene Church. He was caretaker at East Tennessee Campground for 20 years. He was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by wife Minnie B. Vickers.
Survivors include: wife Lucille Potter Vickers. Son Paul D. Vickers and his wife Katy. Granddaughter Christy Lynne Holleran. Grandson J.R. Barker, II. Two great grandsons, Christopher Douglas William Holleran and Benjamin Michael Turner Holleran. Sister, Mary Dray. Nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Monday at Emmanuel Church of Nazarene Church with Rev. J.B. Caylor, Rev. L.P. Ford, and Rev. Tom Aspell officiating. The interment will follow in Louisville Cemetery. GRACE TARWATER WEBB
Grace Tarwater Webb, age 92, passed away peacefully at Asbury Place in Maryville, TN, early Friday morning, November 15, 2002. She was born in Sevierville, TN, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Tarwater. She attended Murphy College in Sevierville and was married
to William Marion Webb of Wears Valley. After farming in Sevier County for several years, they moved to Blount County, where Marion Webb worked at ALCOA. They lived in the Lanier area and were very active at Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was the pianist. After her husband's death, Mrs. Webb moved to Maryville.
Children are, Jean Webb McFarland of Charlotte, North Carolina, Bill Webb (William Marion Webb Jr.) of Black Mountain, NC, Linda W. Downing and her husband, David Downing of Friday Harbor, WA; Peggy W. Ford of Robbinsville, North Carolina, Joanne W. Buchanan of Orlando, Florida, Sandra W. Goodman and her husband, Dale Goodman of Jonesboro Georgia, June W. Goddard and her husband, Andy Goddard of Maryville, TN, Margie W. Van Buren of Orlando, Florida. 23 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Sisters, Mrs. June Crumley of Alcoa and Mrs. Lorraine Hickman of Knoxville. Several nieces and nephews.

Lee Hannah, age 88, of Maryville, died Thursday, November 14, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was born June 28, 1914, attended Everett High School and graduated in 1937 from Maryville College. He was inducted into the college's Athletic Wall of Fame for Excellence in Athletic Achievement (for basketball) in 1984. He was a member of Tener's semi-professional basketball team. He was a 25-Year-Club retiree from ALCOA and a member of Rockford Masonic Lodge #469. Lee belonged to First Christian Church of Maryville, where he served as an elder and taught Bible Class for many years. His hobbies included golf (he had three holes-in-one), bowling, fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mavorette Cupp Hannah, and sister, Gladys Hannah White.
Survivors include: sister, Grayce Hannah Cabage; stepdaughter, Yvonne Cupp Goddard; nephews and their wives, Bill and Linda Cabage and George and Pat Cabage; nieces and husbands, Betsy and David Jones and Ethel and Doug Woods.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 17, in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Eubanks officiating and Casey Hancock assisting. The interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Reverend Max L. Kelley
Reverend Max L. Kelley, age 77 of Alcoa, passed away November 14, 2002. He was born less than two miles away from where he lived most of his life. Jesus came for him while he was cleaning leaves in his yard. He always said that he would rather wear out than rust out. Rev. Kelley was a Sailor on the U.S.S. D.R. Hill during World War II when she was sunk in the Atlantic by a German U-Boat. Many lives were lost when the destroyer went down. He worked at the ALCOA Plant for 38 years before he retired. He was a member of their 25-Year Club. During the 55 years that Brother Max was a preacher, he was pastor at eight different churches in Blount County. He spent seven years at Lone Oak Baptist Church. He was always a "hands on' minister, visiting the sick and the elderly after his retirement. He will be greatly missed here in this world but God has another job for him.
Papaw Kelley was preceded in passing by: Father, Claude D. Kelley; Mother, Maude Romines Kelley; Brother, Carl Kelley of Alcoa; Sister, Lennie Kelley Long of Maryville. Survivors include: Wife of 60 years, Kathleen S. Kelley; Daughters, Sue Barker of Rockford and Edna Harmon of Louisville; Son, Leon D. Kelley of Maryville; Grandchildren, Teresa Cooper, Krista Huskey, Brian Nix, Angela Barker and Dexter Kelley; Great-Grandchildren: Josh Anderson, Daniel Kelley, Kyra Huskey, Spencer Barker and Sierra Kelley; Beloved friend, AD Long.
