McNELLY, KATHERINE MAUDE COULTER, 94, Maryville, Seymour, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Miller Funeral Home.

PROFFITT, EDWARD 'PINK, ' 69, Walland, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a contractor and backhoe operator.
Survivors: son, Ernie Proffitt of Townsend; daughters, Brenda Simonds of Greenback, Sandy Teffeteller of Maryville, Faye Thompson of Walland, Kathy Keller of Walland, Pat Coppenger of Townsend, Bonnie Proffitt of Maryville; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Dyer of Louisville.
Funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at Smith Mortuary. Family and friends will assemble at 1 p.m. Friday at Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church for the interment. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.

WEIMER, VINCENT OLIVER, 83, Knoxville, formerly of Pennsylvania, died Friday, Jan. 19, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
Survivors: son, Thomas Weimer of Knoxville. No local services are planned. He was returned to S.M. Finney Funeral Home in Clairton, Pa., for funeral services. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park in Pleasant Hills, Pa. Local arrangements by Dotson Funeral home.

88 of Harbor Springs, Mich., died Monday, Jan. 22, in Harbor Springs.
Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Friday at Sherwood Mausoleum for an entombment service. Arrangements by McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.

GREGORY, LORA MAE, 82, Maryville, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, at St. Mary's Hospital, Knoxville.
Survivors: husband, Floyd W. Gregory; daughters, Shirley Walker of Knoxville, Geraldine Keller of Maryville; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Evlee Rutherford of North Carolina; brothers, Jamie Rutherford of North Carolina and Perley Rutherford of Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. today at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. The interment will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

MCNELLY, KATHERINE MAUDE COULTER, 95, Seymour died Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Survivors: sisters, Jane Whitehead and Florence Headrick, both of Maryville.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Eusebia Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

BROWN, DAVID 'BUSTER, ' 87, Stanton, died Sunday, Jan. 21, at Baptist Hospital, Tipton. He was a farmer.
Survivors: wife, Callie Sue Graves Brown; daughters, Helen Brown of Memphis, Dorothy Jarrett of Maryville, Betty Hardnett, Bernice Bond, both of Nashville; sons, Melvin Brown, Barry Brown, both of Nashville; brother, James 'Joe' Brown of Millington.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John Baptist Church, Stanton. Rawls Funeral Home, Brownsville, is in charge of arrangements.

DAVIS, GLENDA SUE DYER, 49, Knoxville, formerly of Madisonville, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, at her home.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Foothills Funeral Home, with graveside services to follow at Haven Hills cemetery in Madisonville. The remains may be viewed after noon today at the funeral home.

DeFORD, DENVER F., 84, Loudon, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Mountain View Assisted Living Center.
Survivors: Austin DeFord, Louisville; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Evelyn Smallen.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Loudon County Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. McGill-Karnes Funeral Home, Loudon, is in charge of arrangements.

KIRK, HALLIE RUTH BORDEN, 86, Lenoir City, died Thursday, Jan. 25. She was retired from Charles H. Bacon Co.
Survivors: daughter, Pat Amos of Lenoir City; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

MARTIN, KENNETH B., Madison Heights, Mich., formerly of Alcoa, died Monday, Jan. 22, in Michigan.
Survivors: sisters, Willie McNear, Maggie Whitted, Julius Wilson, all of Blount County, Marva Reed of Lenoir City, Melba Winston of New York; brothers, James and Albert Martin of Nashville, Avery Martin of Maryville.

RAY, JAMES WILLIAM, 84, Wildwood, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the family home. He was retired from ALCOA.
Survivors: wife, Marie Ray; son, Tim Ray of Wildwood; two grandchildren; sister, Clara Wood of Alpharetta, Ga.; brothers, John Ray of Nelson, Ga., Herman Ray of Ball Ground, Ga.
Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. today in the Dotson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

SMITH, EMMA GRACE, infant daughter of Joey and Greta Smith, of Maryville, died Friday, Dec. 22, at Children's Hospital.
Survivors: grandparents, Don and Judy Smith, Dennis and Anita Griffith, all of Castlewood, Va.; great-grandparents, Ohlene Smith of Lebanon, Va., Ray and Thelma Childress of Richlands, Va.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Maryville First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

BRADY, MICHAEL JAMES, 62, Maryville, formerly of Galestown, Md., died Thursday, Jan. 25, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Survivors: daughter, Sarah Walters; three grandchildren; stepdaughter, Charlene Adams, all of Maryville; sisters, Anne Devaney and Kathleen Barboza of New York. Brady will be buried in Maryland. Memorial services will be set at a later date. Local arrangements by Dotson Funeral Home.

HAWKINS, FRANK A., 93, Rockford, died Friday, Jan. 26, at Asbury Acres Retirement and Health Center. He was a member of Alcoa Maryville Church of God.
Survivor: wife, Ima B. Hawkins.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

HOLSONBACK JR., W.C. 'SAND MAN, ' 56, Maryville, died Thursday, Jan. 25, at Baptist Hospital. He was the owner of Holsonback Trucking Co.
Survivors: wife, Florence Green Holsonback; son, Larry Holsonback; daughter, Renee Davis of Maryville; three grandchildren; parents, Weyman and Sarah Holsonback Sr. of Maryville.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Smith Mortuary. Interment will follow at Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience after noon today at the mortuary.

JOHNSON, JOYCE KEENER, 62, Greensboro, Ga., formerly of Greenback, died Thursday, Jan. 25, as the result of an automobile accident in Greensboro. She was employed by the University of Georgia Department of Poultry Science as a Parasitologist for 33 years before retiring in 1992.
Survivors: husband, Clay Johnson of Greensboro, Ga.; brother, Wendell Keener of Lenoir City; brother, Bruce Keener of Lenoir City; sisters, Marilyn Keener Parkerson of Lenoir City, Thelma Murphy of Maryville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. The interment will follow in Oakland United Methodist Church (Trigonia) Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

WILSON, PAUL L.., 75, Maryville, died Friday, Jan. 26, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Smith Mortuary.
