BARTLETT, TALMAGE, 68, Greenback died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Smith Mortuary.

BESSIE HUTSELL GRAHAM
Bessie Hutsell Graham, age 91 of Rockford, died Sunday, September 22, 2002, at Maryville Healthcare Center. She was a member of Community Baptist Church. Survivors include: daughters, Wanda (Millie) Hutsell Williams of Rockford, Barbara (Bird) Chester of Seymour; sons, Stanley Hutsell of Michigan, George Hutsell of Georgia; 30 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Luther Rowland officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Magnolia cemetery for the interment service.

MARY ELIZABETH TEETER
Mary Elizabeth Teeter was born as a twin June 22, 1927, in Norton, Virginia, to the late Frank and Martha Gray. Her life was shared with three sisters and one brother who preceded her in death: Hopey Gay, Gladys Rucker, Titus Jefferson and Enus Gray. Mary was married to Clarence (Coach) Teeter, Jr. who preceded her in death.
She graduated in 1945 from Austin High School, Knoxville, Tennessee where she was a majorette in the band. She continued her education at Bluefield State College earning a Bachelors degree in English.
Mary was a substitute teacher for Charles M. Hall School while raising her six children. She was instrumental in starting the first kindergarten in Alcoa, Tennessee.
She worked for the State of Tennessee, Employment Security as an employment counselor until her retirement in 1989.
She leaves a legacy of love and service that is an inspiration to her family: children, Nancie McPhail, Washington, DC, Lilli (Leonard) Brown, Louisville, TN, Shelley (Kim) Teeter, Knoxville, TN, Clarence (Skipper) Teeter, III, Alcoa, TN, India Teeter, Washington, DC and Barbara (Sandy) (Joe) Fitch, Washington, DC; brother, Wade (Bettye) Gray, Morristown, TN; sisters, Mable Moore, Knoxville, TN, Laura Ramsey, Knoxville, TN, her twin, Nancy Hawkins, Washington, DC; sisters-in-law, Barbara Walker, Queens, NY, Mable Gray, Chicago, IL; brother-in-law, Henry Walker (Queens, NY); grandchildren: Jamar (Jacqulyn) Gilbert, Taj and Alia McPhail, Toure Teeter, Garren Tucker, Jeremy, Nigeria, Milan, Tara, Cuba, Kamari, Othame Teeter, Joey Scruggs, Leonard Brown, Jr., Tina Earls, Erecka and Erica Brown; six great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 26 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church in Alcoa with Elder Joe L. Colquitt officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Remains may be viewed after 12 noon on Wednesday at Foothills Funeral Home, Maryville.

MERRITT TRENTHAM
Merritt Trentham, age 72 of Maryville passed away Monday, September 23, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Wears Valley for 46 years. An avid gardener and hiker, worked for the National Park Service as a young man, knew all the trails, loved fishing and hunting. Retired for Burress Company in 1995 with 36 years of service. preceded in death by parents, Stewart and Ellen Trentham; brothers, Johnny, Conly Trentham; sister, Margie Trentham; step-son, Jeff Best.
Survivors: wife of 20 years, Wilma 'Carolyn'(Burchfireld-Best) Trentham; sons and daughter-in-law, Rick and Robbie (Fox) Trentham of Maryville, Rodger Trentham of Maryville; step-daughter and husband, Susan Kay(Best) and Ronnie Dunlap of Friendsville; sisters and brother-in-law, Jean and Rex Teaster of Wears Valley, Ida Mae Catlett of Seymour; brothers, Avery Trentham of Wears Valley, Charles Trentham of Rockford; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special aunts, Lois Trentham and Pauline (Trentham)Mills of Madisonville; special caring nurses, Nancy Myers and Lois(Robbins)Mimek; special friends, Dr. O.L. Simpson, Dr. William Moore, Kim White, Rev. John Estes, Ralph Benson, Ronnie Millsaps, Bill Holder, Harold Simerly, 'Preacher' Floyd Headrick, and Shirley Teaster.
Funeral Service 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2002 at Miller Funeral Home Rev. Wayne Trentham, Rev. Bill Roberts, and Rev. Michael Roach officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Headricks Chapel cemetery in Wears Valley, Rev. John Estes, Rev. Larry Teaster, and Rev. Milburn White to officiate at the graveside. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

CHARLES R. WOMAC
Charles R. Womac, age 86 of Maryville died Monday, September 23, 2002, at the family home. He was a resident of Blount County for 57 years and a Deacon and member of Maryville Church of Christ. He was the Owner and Operator of Lowe's Drug Store and Home Health Care. Mr. Womac was a founding Director of Citizens Bank of Blount County and a member of the Civitan Club, Rotary Club, and Toastmaster's Club. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Survivors include wife of 67 years, Miriam Womac; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Marti Womac of Maryville; two granddaughters, Amanda Womac of Chattanooga and Emily Womac of New York City. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2002, in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Minister Mike Brumley officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Knoxville Christian School, 11549 Snyder Road, Knoxville, TN 37832. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.

COPPINGER, MARY ELZABETH, 87, Maryville, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at the family home. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Miller Funeral Home.

MITCHELL, RUTH HUFF, 103, Maryville, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.

DAVID T. PRESNELL SR., 52, Rockford, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at the family home.
He was a past officer in the United Mine Workers of America.
Survivors: wife, Frances Presnell; son, David T. Presnell Jr., Rockford; daughter, Tabitha Renee Marsh, Rockford; four grandchildren; father, Clifford Bruce Presnell; brothers, Bruce Presnell, Louisville, Larry Presnell and Charles Presnell, both of Middlesboro, Ky.
Funeral service will be 7:30 p.m. today at Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary. Interment 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. today at Smith Mortuary, Maryville.

ANTHONY, TERRENCE, 33, Oak Ridge, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at his home. Funeral Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Foothills Funeral Home.

GRAHAM, BESSIE L. HUTSELL, 91, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, at Maryville Health Care Center. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.

NELLIE GLADYS GRIBBLE
Nellie Gladys Gribble, age 91 of Maryville, passed away Thursday evening, September 19, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. preceded in death by Husband: Nick Gribble, Son: James Edward Gribble.
Survivors: Children, Johnny Lee Gribble of Chicago, Illinois. Mary Elizabeth Gribble of Maryville, Carter Trenton Gribble of Atlanta, Ga. Nine Grandchildren. One Great-grandchild. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 3 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2002, Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Lester Allmon officiating, interment to follow at Four Mile Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

SARAH ELIZABETH LONG
Sarah Elizabeth Long, age 89, of Maryville, passed away Saturday morning, September 21, 2002, at the family home. Member of Memorial Baptist Church. preceded in death by husband; Roy E. Long. Several Brothers and Sisters.
Survivors: Sons & daughters-in-law; Leonard & Stella Long of Maryville, Russell & Mary Long of Mason, Ohio. Grandchildren; Jeff & Bunny Long, Beth Carey, Rebecca Brafford, Robin Stover. Great-grandchildren; Jarrod, Saira, Daryle Long. Shane, Brandy Carey, Russell, Mary Brafford. Tyler, Derek, Samantha Stover. Several nieces and nephews.

LOUISE WILMA MCGILL MARSHALL
Louise Wilma McGill Marshall, age 66, of Alcoa, passed away Friday afternoon September 20, 2002, at the family home. She attended Fellowship Baptist Church. preceded in death by parents; Alonzo & Fannie Blair, Several brothers and sisters.
Survivors: Daughters and Sons-in-law; Elizabeth & Charles King of Maryville, Lena Teaster of California, Billie & Steve Adcock of Harriman, Connie & David Tyler of Maryville. Sons and Daughters-in-law; Marshall McGill of California, Steve & Sharon McGill of Townsend, Paul & Phoebe McGill of California. 17 Grandchildren, 10 Great-grandchildren. Sister; Garnett Wilburn of South Carolina. Brother; Hugh Blair of North Carolina. Several nieces and nephews.

RUBY SULLIVAN
Sullivan, Ruby age 71 of Maryville, died Saturday, September 21, 2002 at the family's home. She was a member of Maryville-Alcoa Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Sullivan; brother, Harold Houk.
Survivors include her son, Mike Sullivan and fiance, Pat Ogle of Maryville; son & daughter-in-law, Tony & Julie Sullivan of Queensland, Australia; two grandchildren, Christy & Aaron; brothers, Jimmy Houk, Fred Houk, Charles Houk, & Grady Houk; sisters, Faye Lane, Doris Jett & Betty Jean Livingood. Graduation service 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2002, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary with Tony Sullivan & Rev. Lonnie Garner officiating. HAZEL MARIE BLACKWELL
Hazel Marie Blackwell, of Clintwood, VA, formerly of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2002, in Clintwood.
Survivors include: sons, Robert Blackwell of Maryville, Tony Blackwell of Friendsville; daughter, Michele Parker of Nashville; brothers, Delmar Mullins of Clintwood, NC, Christopher "Bear" Mullins of NC; sisters, Louise Beverly, Mary Lou Stanley, Shirley Davis and Doris Reed all of Clintwood, Barbara Hastings of NC; 4 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Monroe Beverly and Rev. Tommy Stanley officiating. CLARA P. COX
Clara P. Cox, age 91 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church of Louisville and was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon "Jack" L. Cox and sister, Inez Holder of Knoxville.
Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Charles Dale and Doreen Cox of Louisville; grandchildren, Dale Ann Cox and C. Dan Cox; sister, Katie Couch of Richmond, VA; sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Virgil Herring of MO; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Clara Pogue of Belvidere, TN.
