Arlie Lawson, age 85 passed away in Jefferson City on Wednesday, May 15, 2002. He was a member of Mountain View Methodist Church. preceded in death by his parents, William 'Uncle Bill' Lawson and Mary Benson Lawson; brothers, Loy, Hugh, and Fred Lawson; sister, Alice Camron; son, Roy Lawson.
Survived by his loving wife, Hazel Hickman Lawson; granddaughter, Gina Lawson Scrimizzi of Ohio; grandson, Scott Lawson of North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Shirley Lawson; and grandsons, Nicholas and Matthews Lawson, all of Knoxville; great-grandson, Christopher Lee Scrimizzi; several wonderful nieces and nephews and cousins.
The family will receive on Saturday, May 18, 2002 from 5-7 p.m. at Highland South Funeral Home where a funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. with Rev. David Childress officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at Maddox cemetery at Wears Valley at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2002. Highland South Funeral Home has arrangements, 573-7300.

Johnny "MOOK" Howard Bradburn, age 62 of Alcoa died Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital.
He was survived by his daughter, Misty Owenby; son, Scott Lindsey; and three grandchildren, Krista and Jessica Owenby, and Breanna Lindsey; brothers, Jerry and Max Bradburn; sister: Lora Le Stinnett all of Maryville; host of faithful friends, and special friend, Marie Wright.

ANDREW J. `JOE' KIRBY
Andrew J. 'Joe' Kirby, age 80 of Louisville passed away Monday, May 13, 2002. Retired from ALCOA and a member of the 25 Year Club. Veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II. He was a songwriter and a self-taught musician who learned to play the guitar at a early age, music was an important part of his life. preceded in death by wife, Virginia 'Billie' Kirby.
Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Billy Joe and Janet Kirby of Seymour; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley J. and William W. Peery of Norfolk, Virginia; grandchildren, Kristopher K. Mary Ella Mickle Mobley, born December 19, 1905 in Kershaw County, South Carolina, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Smith Mobley Sr.; son, Edward P. Mobley; parents, Robert Thomas and Sallie Emma Smith Mickle; four brothers and five sisters; son-in-law, Ralph Effler.

Shawn Michael Caldwell infant son of Kevin and Rachael Gibson Caldwell of Maryville passed away Sunday May 12, 2002, at Children's Hospital in Knoxville.
He is also survived by his sisters: Chelsey, Jessica, and twin sister, Sara Caldwell; paternal grandparents, Rev. Ray and Willie Caldwell of Maryville; maternal grandparents, Betty Cowan of Halls, Robert Gibson of Maryville; aunts and uncles, Jim and Lori Everett of Friendsville, Buddy & Crystal McMahan of Knoxville.

JACK L. CUMMINGS
Jack L. Cummings, 66 of Pine Lake died May 13, 2002. He is preceded in death by father, Frank E. Cummings; mother, Lyda Flynn Cummings; son, Jack R. Cummings; and brother, Charles E. Cummings all of Maryville, TN.
He is survived by wife, Nadine Cummings; daughters, Teresa Mellas of Duluth and Sharon Davis of Riverdale; sons, David Cummings and Michael Cummings both of Buford; sisters, Nell Garland and Betty Baker both of Maryville, TN and Faye Adams of New Ellenton, S.C.; grandchildren, Athena and Nikki Mellas, Duston Stone and Sarah Brown, also a faithful dog Prince.
Mr. Cummings was retired with 26 years service at MARTA and a member of Local Union #732.

Jacob Alan Huey, of Maryville, died Saturday May 11, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lori Jo Smith; grandmother, Vicky L. Bowers; great-grandfather, Glynn Bowers.
Survivors include his mother, April Smith; father, Robert Huey, III; brother, Joshua Smith; grandparents, Sharon and Donald Holder, Glenn and Vickie Bowers, Kathy Randazzo, of Michigan, and Robert Huey, Jr., of Indiana; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Charles Hardin Raby, age 87 of Maryville passed away Saturday evening May 11, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was born October 23, 1914 in Sweetwater, TN the son of Charles Dexter Raby and Margaret Elizabeth Thompson Emerson Raby. Member of West Maryville Baptist Church and attended East Alcoa Baptist Church. Member of New Providence Lodge No. 128 F&AM. Retired from Alcoa with 35 years service and member of the 25 Year Club. Formerly owner and operator of Raby's Barber Shop on Morganton Road. Served in Tellico Plains C.C.C. Camp in the early 1930's. World War II U.S. Navy service in the Pacific Theater aboard the USS Dade and USS Adair and was in combat action during the Battle of Okinawa. Also preceded in death by wife of 58 years, Anna Mae Blankenship Raby; infant daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Raby; brother, John Everette Raby; sisters, Lucile Raby, Reba Hanchey, Daisy Mulkey.
