Lucille Hazel McGill, age 71 of Maryville, TN was born Feb. 22, 1931, passed away on May 24, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital, after a long battle with cancer.
She was a member of East Maryville Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by parents, Levi and Myrtle Payne Brooks; brothers Estel and Lester Brooks; son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and April McGill of Maryville, TN; grandson, Cody McGill of Maryville, TN; sisters, Jane and Hugh Carmony of Tazewell, TN, Kathleen Chumley of Maryville, TN, Queenie and Dan Binker of KY, June Brooks of IL, Grace and Patrick O'Claire of Maryville, TN; brothers, Warren and Inge Brooks of KY, Franklin and Pokuko Brooks of Utah; sister-in-laws, Helen Brooks of Maryville, TN, Alice Brooks of Maryville, TN; several nieces and nephews and a host of other friends and relatives; special friend, Benny Sneed of Maryville, TN.

ORVILLE A. 'ORV.' SCHUCH
Orville A. 'Orv.' Schuch, age 85 of Maryville passed away Saturday, May 25, 2002 at Maryville Health Care Center. He was retired from American Airlines, Veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army, and former member of Maryville Kiwanis.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Gerrie Webb Schuch.
Survivors include: daughters, Christine Schuch of Walland, Nancy Schuch of Los Angeles, CA; son, Dan Schuch of Manhattan Beach, CA; former wife, Jane Schuch of Maryville.
No services are planned and final disposition of cremains will be in the Pacific Ocean.

Jacquelyne 'Jacki' Whitlock Barnes passed away May 5th in Jensen Beach, Fla.
She is survived by son, Adam Payson -- Jensen Beach; sister, Bettye Stanley -- Knoxville; nephew, Greg Stanley -- Powell; and niece, Jenny Holley -- Knoxville.

O. Ted Hood, age 66 of Maryville passed away Friday, May 24, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital, after an extended llness. He was born in Louisville, TN on September 26, 1935. He retired from ALCOA after 25 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. preceded in death by: Father and Mother, Herman & Beulah Hood; Brothers, Charles, Calvin and Fred Hood; Father and Mother-in-law, Tom & Grace Keasler.
Survivors include: Wife of 48 years, Shirley Keasler Hood; Son, Kenneth "Ricky" Hood of Maryville; Daughter and Son-in-law, Kristi and Doug Dodson of Maryville; Two special granddaughters, Brittany and Chelsey Dodson; Sister and Brother-in-law, Sarah Kay & Rodney McGill of Greenback; Sister-in-law, Willodene Hood of Maryville; several nieces and nephews.

Paul E. Hughes, age 76, of 207 Dawson Street, Vonore, passed away 1:10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2002 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical center. Son of the late W.R. and Jessie Hughes. Member of Oakland United Methodist Church and Vonore Masonic Lodge #658. Veteran of World War II having proudly served in the U.S. Nay. Owned and operated Vonore Sand Company for 18 years. Charter member and served on the Vonore Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years. Chairman of the Vonore Planning Commision for 17 years. He was a good friend, a loving husband and a wonderful daddy. preceded in death by granddaughter-in-law, Terri Williams; sisters, Irene, Ida Lee, Annie, Stella and Alva; brothers, Clay and Pat.

GRADY LEAKE
Grady Leake, age 85 of Maryville died Friday, May 24, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He served in World War II in the United States Marine Corps. He owned his own business for over 35 years in West Chester County, New York.
Survivors include: Wife, Rose Leake; Sons, Henry Leake III of New York and Gary Leake of Georgia; Daughters, Carolyn Burke of Maryland and Marilyn Leake of Maryville; Grandchildren, Henry, Karen, Amy, Kevin, Melissa, and Alexandria; Sister, Kathleen Whited of Florida.

Prentiss Ray Moore, age 70 of Port Orange, FL, formerly of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2002, in Port Orange. He was a retired hotel/motel owner operator.

Dallas (Francis) Jackson, 55, formerly of Rockford and Alcoa, TN, died Saturday, May 19, 2002, in Sacramento, CA after a short illness. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall and owned and operated Love's family Daycare for 12 years. She was an employee of Alza Corporation in Vacaville, CA. She gradauted from the former Charles M. Hall High school, Alcoa, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Taft and Virgil Francis.

WANDA MARIE HACKNEY
Wanda Marie Hackney, age 53 of Maryville passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon May 22, 2002 at the family home surrounded by family and friends. She finally lost her battle with cancer. She was born in Maryville on December 8, 1948 to Harold and Edith Hackney and lived most of her life in Blount County. preceded in death by father, Harold Hackney.
Survivors: mother, Edith Hackney of Maryville; brothers, Larry Hackney, Brett Hackney both of Maryville, Jimmy Cabe of Georgia, Howard Hackney of Gillette, Wyoming. Also survived by her long-time boyfriend, Billy Whitehead of Maryville and many friends and members of her extended family. Her kindness and innocence quickly endeared her to everyone that she met. It's that same kindness and innocence that will make this world a little sadder for her passing.

Terry Cleemont Adams, age 75, formerly of St. Charles, Virginia, was called home Sunday, May 19, 2002, in Columbus, Ohio, following an extended illness. Born July 4, 1926, Terry was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, a 32nd Degree Mason and York Rite Temple Shriner, a licensed professional engineer, a graduate of St. Charles High School, Ohio University and the University of Tennessee. A proud veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his father, George Edward Adams; mother, Edith G. (Wacks) Adams; sister, Dorothy Adams; and brother, Edward G. Adams. In expectation of Christ's return, he joins another sister, Eva Ruth (Adams) Warner and brother, David H. Adams at the Tennessee State Veterans cemetery in Knoxville, TN.
Terry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Elizabeth (Moody) Adams; son, Timothy Cleemont Adams; daughter, Terry Lee Adams; grandson, Matthew George Brooks Adams, of Columbus, Ohio; sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Clifford Irwin of Maryville, TN; brother, Gregory Q. Adams of Orlando, FL; and brother and sister-in-law, Robert G. (Sam) and Dean Adams of Sevierville, TN; many beloved nieces, nephews and family members.

George Eugene (Jimmy) Eaton 74 of Maryville died Tuesday May 21, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a US Navy Veteran serving in WWII. He was a Bail Bondsman for 17 years, and a Truck Driver for 30 years.
He is survived by his children: Russ Eaton, Joy Bondy both of Maryville, Danny Eaton of Lincoln Park, Il, 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Townsend, and Margaret Snyder both of Louisville, Mary Belcher of Inkster, MI, brother, Bill Eaton of Louisville.
