ELMER RAY EDMONDS
Elmer Ray Edmonds - age 82 of Maryville passed away Saturday, March 30, 2002 at his home. He was retired from the City of Maryville and was a veteran of WWII having served in the Army Air Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah Edmonds; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Ann Edmonds, Randy and Sherri Edmonds; son, Andy Edmonds; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Archie Dunlap; five granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Monday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Gilliland officiating. The interment will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in Grandview cemetery with full military honors.

Lovick Glenn (Doc) Turney Sr. age 89 of Alcoa, died Saturday, March 30, 2002 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. Member of Broadway United Methodist Church, Life Member of Telephone Pioneers of America, and Maryville Life Member Club of Telephone Pioneers. He was a retired Bell South Telephone Company employee. preceded in death by: parents, J.N. and Bertha Turney; and two sisters.
Survivors include: wife, Hallie Turney; son, Glenn Turney Jr.; granddaughter, Tara; and niece, Dollyie Martin of Decatur, Ala.; cousins, Sandra Mitchell of Hunstville, Ala., Telette Roberts of Decatur, Ala.; great-niece Susie Alsup of Crossville, TN; and great-nephew, David Martin and wife Susan of San Francisco, CA., Jeff Martin and wife Allison of Nashville, TN; sister-in-law Eunice; and nieces, Pat and Priscilla Nash of Nashville, TN; special friends, Lisa Turney and Howard Kilgore and Marcia Jo Thurman.

Ruby Smith Carter, age 51, of Alcoa passed away Friday morning March 29, 2002 at UT Medical Center, Knoxville. She fought hard for the last 2½ years. She was of the Baptist faith. Employed by Denso Mfg. Co. preceded in death by parents, Samuel and Mossie Smith; son, Paul Miles; brother, Bill Smith.

Joseph Wesley Dunn age 86 of Townsend died Saturday March 23, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member and head deacon at Caylors Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Frances Stinnett Dunn; son, James Wesley Dunn; parents, brothers and sisters; two great grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jo and Odell Kilby of Townsend; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Adeline Dunn of Knoxville; sisters, Lillie Davis of Greenback, Mary Sue Frye of Walland; sister and brother-in-law, Rev. Max and Kathleen Kelley; grandchildren and spouses, Delbert and Judy Kilby, Terry Jo Kilby, Tammy Kilby, Timmy (Pete) Kilby, Jeff and Missy Kilby, Scott Kilby all of Townsend, Doris Dunn of Walland; seventeen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.

Linda Marie Lowe Hutsell, age 52 of Maryville, passed away Sunday evening, March 24, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by husband, Otto Hutsell; parents, Floyd and Martha Lowe; and several brothers and sisters.

Nell M. Myers, age 77 of Maryville, passed away Sunday evening, March 24, 2002 Colonial Hills Nursing Home. She was a member of Alcoa-Maryville Church of God and preceded in death by parents, Grover C. and Emma Moore; brother, Charlie Moore; and sisters, Ruby Thatcher and Myrtle Wheeler.
Survivors: husband, Charlie Myers; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Kaye Myers of Maryville and John and Dorothy Myers of Maryland; grandchildren, Shayna Myers, Dana Myers and John Myers, Jr.; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Lou Melton of Kingsport and Mary Henry of Maryville; several nieces and nephews.

Alma Nicely Seymour, age 83 of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2002 at Mariner Healthcare of Norris. She was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church and was a retired nurse.
Preceded in death by parents, William and Ethel Nicely; husband, Troy Seymour; brothers, John and Vaughn Nicely; sister, Eunice Kelley; son-in-law, Bill Pfeister.
Survived by daughters, Pat Pfeister and Georgia Bates; daughter and son-in-law, Shelba and Ray Clabough; sons, Troy and Ronald Seymour; son and daughter-in-law, J.C. and Clemon Seymour; special granddaughter and caregiver, Vivian Cooke; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; sisters, Eula Hensley and Virgie Cornish; several nieces and nephews.

Maxine Ceciel Stepp, age 80 of Friendsville, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Binfield United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Stepp and son, Richard Stepp.
Survivors include: daughter, Charlotte Fox and husband Dwain of Friendsville; granddaughter, Angela K. Blankenbeckler; grandson, Dennis Sparks and wife Missy; great grandchildren, David Blankenbeckler, II and Olivia Blankenbeckler; sisters, June Robertson and husband Paul and Jean Debuty.

Kim Renae Walker, age 46 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Piney Level Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Norma Davis.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Walker; sons, Jason Walker of Maryville and David Walker of Knoxville; daughter, Nikki Walker of Maryville; grandmother, Della Collins of Knoxville; mother-in-law, Jessie Walker of Maryville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Danny and Georgia Harmon and Lennie and Claudia Russell all of Maryville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
