Blanche Marie Forster Potter, age 83 of Greenback passed away Tuesday afternoon November 27, 2001. Member of Greenback Memorial Baptist Church. preceded in death by husband, Clarence Potter; mother, Lora Moore Forster; father, Cas Forster; brother, Willie Forster; brother-in-law, Murrell Steele.
Survivors: son, B.C. Potter and wife Wanda Medlin Potter; granddaughter, Teresa Potter; grandson, Gary Potter; son, Jack Potter and wife, Joann Jones Potter; granddaughter and husband, Whitney Potter Davis and Todd Davis; grandson, Michael Potter; son, Bill Potter and wife, Rosie Gibson Potter; grandson, Clint Potter; daughter, Betty Potter Painter and husband Pennell Painter; sister, Stella Steele Best; sister-in-law, Alma Lee Potter Duncan; niece, Bobbie Steele Downey; nephew, Douglas Steele; several other nieces and nephews; special friends and caregiver, Mildred McMillan.
Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2001 Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Ron Bailey officiating. Interment to follow in Carpenter's Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Greenback Emergency Rescue Squad, 6815 Morganton Road, Greenback, TN. 37742. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

LOU ELLA AKINS TALLENT
Lou Ella Akins Tallent, age 82 of Maryville formerly of Alcoa passed away Wednesday morning, November 28, 2001 at Fort Sanders Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville. Member of Central Baptist Church, Alcoa. preceded in death by husband, George Andrew Tallent; son-in-law, Raymond T. Cannon; parents, Ralph and Nellie Gardner Akins; brothers, Charles Akins, Paul Akins.
Survivors: daughter, Mary Ann Cannon of Maryville; grandson and wife, John A. and Tabitha Cannon of Knoxville; brother, Jack Akins of Maryville; sisters, Gertrude Scott of McMinnville, TN, Beulah Graham of Arizona; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2001 Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Greg Kelly, Rev. George Gilbert officiating. Family and friends will meet at Unicoi cemetery in Tellico Plains at 2:00 p.m. Friday for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

David C. 'Booker' Webb
2001-11-25
Interment for former Townsend City Commissioner David C. 'Booker' Webb, 78, is scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Campground United Methodist cemetery in Townsend.
Services were held Saturday night at Smith Mortuary with the Rev. Charles Johnson and the Rev. Curtis Franklin officiating.
Webb, who died at his home Thursday, was a member of a prominent Townsend family.
He was a member of Campground United Methodist Church.
A veteran or World War II, he was a B-24 tailgunner. He attended Hiwassee College and East Tennessee State University where he received a bachelor of science degree.
He was a chemical operator at the Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge. In later years, he was a math instructor at the Job Corps Centers at Tremont and at Oconaluftee, N.C., until his retirement.

MISS ROMA LOIS GAMBLE
2001-11-23
Miss Roma Lois Gamble, age 87 of Maryville, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2001, at Asbury Acres Health Care Center. She was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church and taught school for over 38 years.
Survivors are a cousin, Marion Gamble and wife Doris of Knoxville; cousin-in-law, Irene Gamble; niece, Sarah Gamble Scarborough and husband William; nephews, Roy A. Gamble and wife Mary and Robert T. Gamble and wife Debra; grandnephew, Jess Gamble; grandnieces, Amanda Gamble and Norah Beth Hord and husband Brandon; great-grandnephew, Dakota Hord; great-grandniece, Sierra Hord.
A private burial service was held Sunday, November 18, at Centennial Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2001, at New Providence Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Providence Presbyterian Church, 703 W. Broadway, Maryville, TN, 37801, or to the Blount County Library, 301 McGhee Street, Maryville, TN, 37801.

LOUIS V. SIZEMORE LOVINGOOD
Louis V. Sizemore Lovingood, age 81 of Maryville went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 21, 2001, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She attended Piney Level Baptist Church. preceded in death by parents, James M. and Flora Caldwell, husbands, William E. Sizemore and Lloyd Lovingood, son, Terry Sizemore and sister, Geneva Gregory.
Survivors: daughter, Janice Koehler of Maryville; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Barbara Caughron of Maryville, Marvin and Karen Sizemore of Maryville; stepson and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Brenda Lovingood of Friendsville; sister, Margaret Stevens of Maryville; grandchildren, Lisa and Ervil McKeehan, Rodney and Melissa Sizemore, Marvin Sizemore Jr., Lita and Jim Clark, Chesney Sizemore and Richard Hughes all of Maryville, Brice and Tracey Hughes of Knoxville, Brian and Erin Hughes of Rockford; stepgrandchildren, Rodney and Carrie Lovingood, and Todd Lovingood of Friendsville; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-stepgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
Funeral service 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2001, at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel Rev. George Macht officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Clark's Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

JANIE TEETERS
Janie Teeters, age 54 of Greenback passed away Thursday, November 22, 2001, at U.T. Medical Center. She was a member of Bakers Creek Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur Teeters; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Kathy Teeters; son, Bryan Teeters, all of Greenback; grandchildren, Nicholas Teeters, Dillion Teeters, and Morgan Teeters; mother, Dorothy Dinkins, of Seymour; sisters and brothers-in-law, Loretta and David Roberts, of Newport, Margaret and Jim Romines, of Seymour, several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Sabo officiating. The interment will follow in Bakers Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bakers Creek Presbyterian Church.

Odie Sneed Ward, age 96 of Maryville passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2001, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by husband, Paul Ward; parents, Wesley and Mary Sneed; daughter-in-law, Hettie Ward; sons-in-law, Bert Loggins, Albert Gregory and Ralph Morgan; grandson, Buddy Morgan; 1 brother and 2 sisters. Survivors include; children, Louise Loggins, Juanita Gregory, George Ward and wife, Wilma Ward, June Morgan, and Clayne Ward; sisters, Lauri Dawson and Effie Dockery; 14 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 31 great-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-great-granddaughter. Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 23, 2001, in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Reverend Jerry Hurley officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2001, at Clarks Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000

Elmer R. Achterkirchen, age 92 of Maryville died Tuesday, November 20, 2001, at Asbury Acres Health Care Center.

Henry L. Ford, born August 24, 1956, of Bennie and Kathleen Ford was ushered into eternal glory on November 17, 2001.
He is survived by father, Bennie Ford; son, Henry Ford; sisters, Tommie Tillman, Elsie Cannady; brother, Willie B. B. Ford; sister, Chris James; brother, Madison Ford; nephews, Jimmy James, Steve James, Michael Dean, Belmon Dean, and Mark Dean; nieces, Cathy Smith, Faye Hawkins, Deborah Taylor, Sonja Bettis, Tamara Sullivan; cousins, William Brownlee, Charlie Knight, Joe Valentine, Allen Minor, Dennis Minor and a host of other relatives.
The family will receive friends at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Alcoa, Wednesday, November 21, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Foothills Funeral Home, Maryville, in charge.

PATRICIA ANN HILL
Patricia Ann Hill, age 60 of Tallassee, TN passed away Saturday morning, November 17, 2001 at Maryville Health Care Center. Member of Four Mile Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by sons, Edgar 'Eddie' Hill, Herbie Hill, Kirby Hill; father, John Bryant; brother, Johnny Bryant.
Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Tamela and Joe Godfrey; daughter and fiancee' Rhonda Dunlap and Steve Brookshire; son, Jeremy Scott Hill and friend, Janie Whitehead all of Maryville; grandchildren, Leanne, Casey, John, Justin, Travis; great granddaughter, Lauren Graves; mother, Laura Jane Bryant of Maryville; special aunt, Ethel Swaney of Maryville.
Funeral service 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2001 Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Buford Albright officiating. Family and friends will meet at Four Mile cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

NANCY E. MILLER
Nancy E. Miller, age 80 of Alcoa passed away Sunday, November 18, 2001 at Shannondale Health Care Center. She was a member of Alcoa First Baptist Church and former owner of Slack Shack in Alcoa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Mary Paralee Roberts; husband, Roy L. Miller; brother, James Roberts.
Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Jan and Dorothy Miller of Owenton, KY; daughter, Deborah Miller Smith of Knoxville; grandchildren, Shelly Smith Williams, Zack Smith, Jamie Smith, Nichole Miller, Amanda Miller; great grandchildren, Andrew Smith and Macie Miller.
Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2001 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary, Maryville. 983-1000.
