Blanche Marie Forster Potter, age 83 of Greenback passed away Tuesday afternoon November 27, 2001. Member of Greenback Memorial Baptist Church. preceded in death by husband, Clarence Potter; mother, Lora Moore Forster; father, Cas Forster; brother, Willie Forster; brother-in-law, Murrell Steele.
Survivors: son, B.C. Potter and wife Wanda Medlin Potter; granddaughter, Teresa Potter; grandson, Gary Potter; son, Jack Potter and wife, Joann Jones Potter; granddaughter and husband, Whitney Potter Davis and Todd Davis; grandson, Michael Potter; son, Bill Potter and wife, Rosie Gibson Potter; grandson, Clint Potter; daughter, Betty Potter Painter and husband Pennell Painter; sister, Stella Steele Best; sister-in-law, Alma Lee Potter Duncan; niece, Bobbie Steele Downey; nephew, Douglas Steele; several other nieces and nephews; special friends and caregiver, Mildred McMillan.
Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2001 Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Ron Bailey officiating. Interment to follow in Carpenter's Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Greenback Emergency Rescue Squad, 6815 Morganton Road, Greenback, TN. 37742. Judy Sharon Tonjes, age 55 of Louisville, died Thursday, November 29, 2001, at her home.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel Tonjes; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Richard Jinright; son, Daniel Tonjes.
The body was cremated and no services are planned.

JAMES WILLARD AYTES
James Willard Aytes, age 61, of Seymour, TN, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2001. He was retired from Tennessee Department of Safety, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Divisio, n and a member of the State Troopers Lodge #36 Fraternal Order of Police and had a K-9 with the Criminal Interdiction Unit with the State of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Michelle Aytes Mobley.
He is survived by wife, Jeanette McKeithen Aytes of Seymour, TN; daughters, Angela Gabrelle Leona Aytes of Seymour, TN and Traci Lynn Aytes Brannan and husband, Mack Brannan of Snellville, GA; six grandchildren and many close friends.
Funeral service Wednesday 8:00 p.m., Berry Chapel, with Pastor J.R. Bridgeman officiating. Family and friends will meet Thursday 10:30 a.m. at Berry Funeral Home to go in procession to Highland South cemetery for 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Pallbearers will be brother officers, Lt. Ray Fletcher, Greg Roberts, Howard Greenlee, Johnny Finchum, Ernest Philips, Dennis Smith, Ray Robinson, and Jeff Hood. Honorary pallbearers will be David Parchman, Maxie Rose, Billy Joe Jones, Junior Barnes, Joe Sweet and Kenny Feathers. JOSEPH LLOYD `SARGE' CLEMENTS
Joseph Lloyd (Sarge) Clements, age 57 of Knoxville, died Tuesday morning at Fort Sanders Park West Hospital. He was a retired U.S. Army First Sergeant. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church on Cedar Bluff. He was a car salesman for many years in the Knoxville area. He was a Pre-Planning Counselor for several Knoxville area Funeral Homes.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Nancy Smith Clements; children, Tina Marie Clements of Baltimore, MD, Terri Lee and Ben Callister of New York, NY, Toni Louise Clements of Walland; grandchildren, Caleb Callister, and Drew Clements; mother, Magdalene Payne Clements of Owensboro, KY; sister, Cindy Corcoran of Oregon; brothers, David Clements and Michael Clements both of Gilbert, AZ, Jeff Clements of Kiel, WI.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at All Saints Catholic Church in Knoxville. A Vigual Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday with Father John Orr officiating. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the church with Father Chris Michelson officiating. PERRY MARTIN LANDGREN
Perry Martin Landgren, age 91 of Maryville, died Monday, November 26, 2001, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church, served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1945, was a member of Maryville Kiwanis Club and was a member of the University of Tennessee Science Club.
Survivors include: wife, Donna M. Landgren; daughter, Cheryl Landgren of Minneapolis, MN; son, Ken Landgren of Houston, TX.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Maryville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Darris Doyal and Rev. Richard Richter officiating. The interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. Friday at Maryville First United Methodist Church.

James E. Morrissey, age 68 of Maryville, formerly of Pontiac, Michigan, died Tuesday, November 27, 2001 at his home. He was a member of Praise Lutheran Church; American Legion; retired from the United States Navy serving during Korea and Vietnam. He was a watchmaker and very active in his church. He was a Meteorologist in the Navy. preceded in death by: parents, Daniel F. and Elnora Morrissey.
Survivors include: wife of 21 years, Sheila Morrissey; sons, Daniel F. Morrissey of Nashville and James F. Morrissey of Memphis; daughter, Kelly Kathleen Eagleson of Maryland; grandchildren, Cameron Drew, Stephanie Lynn Morrissey, Cody Eagleson, Jake Eagleson; sister, Mary Margaret Powell of Buffalo, NY, Ruth Moss of Indiana, Colleen Moss of Buffalo, NY; Abbie from Maryville, our pet.

SARAH `SALLY' EMMA BUSH SCHROEDER
Sarah (Sally) Emma Bush Schroeder, age 88, widow of H. Paul Schroeder of Alcoa, Tennessee, died Tuesday, November 27, 2001, at Life Care of Cleveland. Mrs. Schroeder was active at First Baptist Church of Maryville, TN., where she was an Intermediate Sunday School teacher, Intermediate Department Superintendent, Ladies Adult Sunday School teacher, Bible teacher, and was also active with the mission circles. In all that she did, she sought to glorify her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Huguenot Society, Chilhowee Club, Alcoa Garden Club, and the Smoky Mountain Passion Play Guild. Mrs. Schroeder enjoyed her Bridge Club, china painting, hiking, camping, plays and the Knoxville Symphony.
She leaves behind a family that loved her very much: daughter, Sarah Schroeder Bounds, of Cleveland, TN.; son, Hans Paul Schroeder and daughter-in-law, Dulcy Schroeder of Chico, CA.; grandchildren, Lauren Kristen Squires, Beth Kinsey, both of Cleveland, TN., Kurt Schroeder, of San Francisco, CA., Gretchen Begovic, of Redwood City, CA.; great grandchildren, Alexandra Squires, Kylie Squires, Ella Begovic, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2001 in the Fike Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bill Griffith officiating. The interment at committal was held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Lynnhurst cemetery in Knoxville, TN. The family received friends from 5:30-7:00 p.m., Tuesday at Fike Funeral Home. CARL EDWARD STEPHENS
Carl Edward Stephens, age 88 of Sarasota, FL, died Friday, November 23, 2001 in Sarasota. He was born on January 27, 1913 in Crestview, TN and moved to Sarasota in 1959 from Nashville. He was an attorney for Genesco Shoe Corp., and had been an American history teacher and high school football coach at Lenoir City High School. He received a master's degree in education at Milligan College, where he was a star quarterback and a law degree from the University of Tennessee. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Sarasota.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy A. Middleton of Sarasota; a son, Kenneth of Sarasota; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Broadway United Methodist Church with Rev. James Dougherty officiating. The interment will follow in Lenoir City Cemetery. Ulela Smith Beets, age 87 of Maryville passed away Tuesday evening, November 27, 2001 at National Health Care Center, Oak Ridge. Founder of Central Baptist Church, Alcoa. preceded in death by husband, John M. Beets; son, Clyde Beets; daughters, Wanda Beets Lynn; infant, Helen D. Beets; parents, Dock and Ina Monroe Smith; sisters, Ella Smith Beeler, Anna Smith Lewis, Eula Smith Robinson, Geneva Smith Caldwell.

Diana Hall Elliott, age 54 of Hoover, AL, formerly of Maryville, died Tuesday, November 27, 2001, in Birmingham. She was a member of Church of the Ascension in Vestavia.
