Willard O. Crisp, age 78 of Maryville passed away Sunday evening September 16, 2001, at the family home. Member of New Providence Primitive Baptist Church. Veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II. preceded in death by: parents, Charlie & Allie Law Crisp; sisters, Myrtle, Ethel, Florence, Thelma; brothers, Lloyd, Estel.
Survivors: wife of 51 years, Bertha Chambers Crisp; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie & Paul Meadows, Debbie & Dan Mullinax, Velva & Ernie Herin, all of Maryville; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny & Sharon Crisp, Ronnie & Tina Crisp, all of Maryville; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, LaVerne Harrill of Maryville; former daughters-in-law, Chris Sands of Maryville, Barbara Crisp of Cleveland; former son-in-law, James Birl of Kokomo, Indiana; several nieces & nephews.
Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2001, at Knob Road Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Jerry Little, Rev. Lester Allmon, Rev. Darrell Croft officiating. Interment 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Old Kagley's cemetery with military honors provided by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
The body will be at Knob Road Missionary Baptist Church, 2023 Knob Rd., Maryville, after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday where friends may call at their convenience. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

Sallie Fisher Hughes, age 92 of Maryville died Monday September 17, 2001, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Chilhowee Primitive Baptist Church. preceded in death by husband, Fidel Hughes; granddaughter, Linda Renee Hughes. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Larry and Mildred Irene Hughes of Maryville; grandchildren, Thomas Larry Jr. and Kristina Hughes, Leonard and Lisa Hughes Shepherd, Scott and Tracy Hughes Webb; great-grandchildren, Shelby and Shaina Hughes, Alan, Nathan and Katelen Shepherd, Jordan Sparks, Sandy Webb, Daphne Burleson and John Scott; several nieces and nephews. Dessa Greenway Hamilton, age 94 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2001 at Fairpark Healthcare Center. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Maryville and was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd M. Hamilton, Sr.

Mable Cooper, age 80 of Rockford, TN passed away at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. preceded in death by: parents, Jim and Cora Houser.
Survivors include: husband of 60 years, M. Lonnie Cooper; daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Bob McMurray of Rockford and Lonna and Ken Keller of Alcoa; grandchildren, Tracy McMurray of Rockford, Christy Jones and husband, Rex of Rockford, Matthew Keller and wife, Amy of Maryville; great-granddaughter, Jessica Jones; brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Reva Houser of Claxton; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2001 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Dr. Bob Brown and Rev. L.G. Hutchens officiating. Friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2001 at Sherwood Mausoleum Chapel for the interment.

CHARLES R. COULTER JR.
Charles R. Coulter Jr., age 85 of Maryville, died Thursday, October 4, 2001, at Fairpark Healthcare Center. He grew up on Sevierville Road, graduated from Everett High School and attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. After six years employment at ALCOA, he was called to active duty with the 32nd Infantry Division in World War II. He served 42 months in the Pacific Theater and saw combat action in the Phillippines, New Guinea and Papua. Charles was wounded in the Battle of Buna, New Guinea. He received the Purple Heart with Clusters, the Bronze Star, The Phillippine Liberation Ribbon and the South Pacific Campaign Medal with Four Stars. He was discharged in 1946 with the rank of Major.
Charles returned to Blount County and entered the family business, Coulter Florist, with his father, brother and sister. Among his many interests was his love of collecting and restoring antique automobiles, mainly Ford vehicles. He helped establish and was a charter member of the East Tennessee Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America; he held memberships in many car clubs, was an avid license plate collector and member of the License Plate Collectors Club of America.
He was a charter member of the Maryville Rotary Club and held the Honor of having 44 years Perfect Attendance and was named a Paul Harris Fellow; was a Board Member of Sam Houston Historical School House, Maryville Utilities Board, Maryville Housing Authority and the University of Tennessee Alumni Board of Governors.
Mr. Coulter was of the Baptist faith, was a longtime member of the VFW Post 5154, the American Legion Post 13, and the Disabled American Veterans.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles R. Coulter, III; father, Charles R. Coulter, Sr.; mother, Nancy Millsaps Coulter; brother, Aubrey Coulter and sister, Helen Coulter.
Survivors include: wife, Ethel M. Coulter; daughters and sons-in-law, Arlene and Ralph Hicks, Cheryl and Dave Long all of Dothan, AL; grandsons, Gregory Hicks of Charlotte, NC, Dr. Scott Long of Dothan, AL; grandson and wife, Jeffrey and Cameron Hicks of Birmingham, AL; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Phyllis Coulter; nephew and wife, Kenny and Ann Coulter; several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; special friends, Jerry and Frances Hodge.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Sharp officiating. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
The Maryville Rotary Club will serve as Honorary Pall Bearers.

DORIS MARIE HERRON HANNAH
Doris Marie Herron Hannah, age 62 of Maryville passed away Wednesday at her home. She was of the Baptist faith. preceded in death by father, James Herron and mother, Ruby Herron.
Survivors include: husband, Jake Marshall Hannah of Maryville; two sons, James Marshall and David Allen (Shirley) Hannah; four daughters, Sandra (Doc) Stringfield of Rhodhiss, NC, Lisa Gail, Kathy Brammlet (Steven Hatfield) of Maryville and Robin Phyluaw of Rhodhiss, NC; seven brothers, Frank Herron, J.C. Herron, Ronnie Sisemore, Robert Frank, Steve Frank, Noland Sisemore and Gary Frank; two sisters, Wilma Birchfield and Jeanie Sisemore and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Foothills Funeral Home with funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain Clay Mulford, officiating. Interment at Headricks Chapel Cemetery, Wears Valley. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made toward funeral expenses. LOIS H. HICKMAN
Lois H. Hickman, age 68 of Maryville died Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Lee Hickman.
Survivors include: husband, Fred Hickman; daughter and son-in-law, Linda H. and Bill Barker of Richmond, VA; mother, Naomi Welch of Knoxville; sisters-in-law, Joslie Cates, Lillian Allred and Agnes Denton.
Family and friends will meet at 12:00 noon Saturday at Sherwood Mausoleum for a graveside service with Rev. Wayne Stinnett, minister of Beach Springs Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
JAMES CARL SELF
James Carl Self, died at home in Maryville on Wednesday, October 3, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Dwayne Svette and grandsons, Vance and Sean Svette. A native of Greene County, TN, Mr. Self's family came here in the 1600's from Wilshire, England. Mr. Self served in combat with the United States Navy for four years aboard the battleship Wisconsin. He subsequently owned and operated his own business in Greeneville, TN for over two decades.
The family will receive friends at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville, TN on Friday, October 5, from 5-9:00 p.m.
Mr. Self will be buried with a Mass of Christian Burial from Our Lady of Fatima Church at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2001. Reception follows in The Fatima Center and he will then be interred at the home place. All friends, regardless of faith, are invited to the Mass and reception on Saturday, October 6. Steven Craig 'T-Boy' Yates, age 31 of Louisville passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a body technician at Beaty Chevrolet. preceded in death by grandfather, Rosco Millsaps; aunt, Teresa Diane Parker; best friend, Lee Tulloch.

LOIS PAULINE `MOMMA LOIS' BOMAR
Lois Pauline (Momma Lois) Bomar, 85 of Alcoa, Tenn., formerly of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Oct. 1, 2001 at Asbury Acres Nursing Home. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church, Alcoa, and served in various auxiliaries of the church until failing health.
Preceded in death by husband, Ernest Bomar (who were the owners of Courtesy Cab Company of Alcoa, Tenn. from 1943 to the 1980s); father and mother, James and Effie Arnold; sister, Lula Clark.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Juanita W. Goodman of Knoxville, Tenn., Mickey A. Miller of Lithonia, GA; two sons, Walter L. Bomar and wife, Delois of Maryville, Tenn., Douglas L. (Vanessa) Bomar Sr. of Knoxville, Tenn; and one sister, Viola Woodruff of Spartanburg, SC; 15 grandchildren, Job Jr., Larry, and Constance Goodman, Deidre, January, Lois, Rozzie, Douglas Jr., and Sheryl Bomar all of Knoxville, Debra, David, Daniel, Donna of Lithonia, GA, W. Shawn Bomar of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Brandon K. Bomar of Alcoa, Tenn.; numerous great and great-great grandchildren with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
