William J. 'Bill' Paxton, age 79 of Rockford passed away Wednesday evening, September 12, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Retired from Rockford Mfg. Co. preceded in death by wife, Myrtle Ethel Paxton.
Survivors: caregivers, Shonia Garland, Randy Padilla both of Maryville, Valerie Talmage of Rockford; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet at Clark's Grove cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2001 for graveside service and interment, Rev. William Bennett officiating. Friends may call at their convenience Friday until 5:00 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

Carolyn Jane Pryor, age 60 of Louisville died 4:55 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2001 at U.T. Medical Center. Member of Midway Baptist Church in Louisville. preceded in death by parents, Edgar and Frances Solomon; brother-in-law, Carl Norton.
Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Karen Pryor, Knoxville; son, Jimmy Pryor, Louisville; sister, Betty Norton, Greenback; nieces and husbands, Judy and Bill Keck, Maryville, Janet and Herman Helton, Rockford; nephews and wives, Buddy and Denise Holder, Knoxville, Dale and Kay Norton, Ingleside, TX; nephew, Neil Norton, Greenback; several other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Alyne Bridges, age 84 of Wellington Place, Maryville, died Tuesday, September 11, 2001 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was a member of Armona Baptist Church. She retired from Blount County School System Food Service Division. preceded in death by: husband, Roy E. Bridges; sisters, Marceille Ford, Lucille Hardin, and Jean Laing.
Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ruth and J.E. Wilson and Glenda and Jerry Williams all of Knoxville; grandchildren, Donna Cox and husband, Sammy of Maryville, Susan Wilson of Knoxville, Jay Wilson and wife Alycen of Hickory, NC, David Williams and wife Maria of Knoxville, Brian Williams of Knoxville; five great grandchildren; sisters, Anna Sue Grodeman of Knoxville, Mary Jo Creswell of Seymour, Jennie Moody of Satsuma, FL, Nancy Bohanan of Seymour, Betty Maples of Orlando, FL; several nieces and nephews.

Mary E. Chapman, age 71, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, September 10, 2001, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Stokley's Chapel Baptist Church. preceded in death by her husband, Walter Claude Chapman, Sr.; parents, William T. Lawson, Sr. and Eleanor Louise Lawson, and great-grandson, Brandon Brown.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Doug Manis, of Mosheim; sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Nancy Chapman, of Winnemucca, Nevada, Walter Claude Chapman, Jr. and Diane, of Morristown, Mike and Violet Chapman of Jefferson City and Eddie Chapman of Arizona; grandchildren, Becky Swecker, Scott and Fred Chapman, Michelle Cameron, Michael Chapman, Sonya Rines, William Chapman, Margo Cloninger, Heather Hembree and Alexis Chapman, Doug and Charles Manis; several great-grandchildren; sister, Betty McCammon of Dandridge; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Joyce Lawson, Robert and Faye Lawson of Rockford, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Thursday, September 13, 2001, 10:00 a.m. at Stokley's Chapel with Rev. Adrian Lawler officiating with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

LEONARD LANE
Leonard Lane, age 70 of Maryville died Sunday, September 9, 2001 at Maryville Health Care in Maryville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Lane; son, Keith Lane.
He is survived by his children, Janice Lane, Amy Wise both of Knoxville, Teresa McNeil of Louisville, Perry Lane of Albany, GA; nine grandchildren; sister, Helen Householder of Maryville.
Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Salem cemetery on Morganton Road for a Graveside Funeral Service with Rev. Kirk Wallace officiating. JAMES A. 'JABO' MCCAMMON
James A. 'Jabo' McCammon, age 61 of Maryville, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2001 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Mr. McCammon was a self-employed farmer and a Board of Directors member of the Blount-Greenback Farmers Cooperative.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe McCammon.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Yates McCammon; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri and Bradley Payne of Seymour, Lisa and Wesley Gibson of Maryville; grandson, Zachary Payne; mother, Eunice McCammon of Maryville; brother and sister-in-law, Burl and Charlotte McCammon of Maryville; sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Jerry Mosley of Chattanooga; niece, Denise Long and husband, Tony; nephew, Lincoln Mosley; great-niece, Kristen Long; a special farming 'buddy, Larry Tittsworth.

Edna M. Hembree Trentham, age 87 of Townsend died at 12:15 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2001 at her home. She was a member of Tuckaleechee Primitive Baptist Church in Townsend.
Preceded in death by: parents, John and Mary Hembree; husband, Arlie Otis Trentham; son, J.C. Trentham; daughter, Beulah Johnson; sister, Lula Melton; brothers, Earl Hembree, Paul Hembree, Howell Hembree, Conard Hembree.
Leaving behind loved ones, son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Marie Trentham of Townsend; brother, J.N. MARGARETTE WATTS
Margarette Watts, age 94 of Maryville died Monday, September 10, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Maryville First Baptist Church for many years and owned and operated Jack & Jill Daycare Center for 49 years. Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Watts.
Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, William M. and Shelby Watts; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Darrell and Lisa Watts; great granddaughters, Ashley Watts and Jennifer Crosby all of Maryville.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pat McKeehan officiating. The interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Grandview Cemetery.

Margaret Wynn, age 77 of Maryville, died Tuesday, September 11, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors: husband, Glenn H. Wynn Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Glenn Jr. and Molly Wynn of Nashville and grandson, Chris Wynn of Nashville.
Private graveside services will be held at Shiloh cemetery with Casey Hancock officiating. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Maisie R. Graham, age 95, of the Milwaukee Protestant Home, formerly of Maryville, died Thursday, September 6, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Dr. Thomas A. Graham. In accordance with Mrs. Graham's wishes, no formal funeral services will be held.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Grandview cemetery with Rev. Philip Bembower officiating.

Kenneth 'Buster' Jenkins, age 83 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2001, at Blount Memorial Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Preceded in death by parents, Robert C. and May Rich Jenkins.
Survivors: daughter, Ann Simmons of Atlanta, Georgia; grandson, Todd Simmons of Atlanta, Georgia; several other relatives and friends.
